  • "We went there on Valentine's day. The salmon dinner was wonderful! Husband had veal parm which was good. Place was decorated nicely for the holiday and very busy but we were not rushed. Very enjoyable and happy to have such a good restaurant nearby. We will be back."

  • "Relaxing atmosphere. Service was well timed and friendly and we did not feel rushed, even though the dining room was full. Food was very good and served hot. Manhattan Clam Chowder was spicy and loaded with clam pieces. Salmon with strawberry glaze was an unexpected pairing and really good, while the flatiron steak (medium) was very tender and juicy. Crab Cake had a good taste, but we prefer more crab. Large portion desserts, included in the entree cost, were very good but hard to finish after the wonderful meal. We managed. :-) Sent our compliments to the chefs. Will definitely return to try other entrees on a regular dining night and would recommend Back Bay Bistro to friends."

Just what we were looking for on a winter weekend. The seafood pasta in tomato cream sauce was very nice. Portions are very generous. Plan on taking home a doggie bag."

  • "We were in the Villas for another reason and checked Open Table to find a nearby place for dinner. What a great find! The Back Bay Bistro is a small, cozy restaurant which includes a few outdoor tables. It was beautifully decorated for the fall season and most people there appeared to be happy "regulars". We know why that is. The service was excellent. The food was delicious and served piping hot. The tasty vegetables were cooked just right and the garlic bread and dipping oil was very good. We even arrived in time for the reasonably priced early bird specials, which were numerous and included a warm bread pudding with raisins and vanilla sauce dessert. We probably will make a special trip back to the Villas just to eat at this B.Y.O.B."

  • "We went to dinner with friends to Back Street Bistro. We loved it and, in fact, went with other friends the very next night and followed up with lunch the next day. All three meals were wonderful. The veal is tender with great sauce. The pastas and sauce are homemade and terrific; the pizza the best we have had in the area (which is loaded with pizza restaurants.) It's a drive from Cape May but not intimidating. In short, we cannot wait until next year to go back."
