"Had Easter Brunch. It was our first visit. We go to champaign brunch all the time and this one surprise us. We did not want to pay the high prices charged for the Holidays and felt this was reasonably price for the occassion $52 and we would be in this area location. Crab cakes were an added plus I found out for the holidays and deserve mentioning along with the grilled fish. Crab claw and legs were pretty good although not large but sweet. The prime rib was over cooked so did not have any and no HAM on Easter WHAT but we had view of the bay our table was good and service was great. No empty glass at our table. Give it a rating of 4 out of 5."

"Brunch on an Easter Sunday was a little hectic and very loud, but we were early and yet they sat as immediately. That almost never happens. They food was good but nothing to write home about. The service was a little off, but they were slammed. We ate inside, close to the food. I think next time, we'll eat outside."

"This was our first time visiting Back Bay Bistro. We had heard nothing but good things from everyone that had been to the restaurant. It certainly did not disappoint, everything was great. The service has to be the highlight of the restaurant, they are on top of it, but not in an obnoxious way. The champagne and water glasses were constantly refreshed, never getting below half-full. Our server, Roger, was top notch and took great care of us. It's one of the best brunch locations in Orange County and worth every penny."

"Disappointed at the arrival. they wanted to give us a smaller table but when refused it took a long while to accommodate us. In the mean time the staff members were not kind and courteous saying things like: everybody wants a nice table but we can't guarantee it; everybody has reservations, etc. I think they could use a bit more training in being courteous and making the customers "welcome" rather than making us feel that they are so "pushed " to do the special things. Not a nice way to start a B day celebration upon arrival. All this even after I have made a special note to them at the time of making the reservation. A rather odd attitude by the staff...Never seen this before."

"I happened to pick this because they offered a Saturday Brunch along with the lunch menu. Yes,Saturday!. I was taking my mom for her B-day. We decided to do the bruch. This is probablly one of the best buffet brunches I have ever had. You name it they had it. Our waiter was friendly and personable."

"The weekend lunch menu was not impressive, based on the limited selection I ordered a wedge salad and was not impressed with the dressing or the softness of the lettuce. The calamari was not seasoned well nor the dipping sauce that came with it.

The restaurant appeared to be in transition from brunch to dinner and made no effort to reset the tables for those who came for a late lunch/early dinner."

"Overall the experience was good, however I do not know why it was voted one of the top 50 brunches in the US. I made a reservation for my b-day, yet we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our table. The large shrimp were a highlight and most of the food was good. The staff were friendly. The vibe, however, was very cafeteria like, and the desserts were almost non-existent. I would recommend for your average brunch, but not a special occasion."
