Bacco Ristorante - MichiganSaturday night outwe had a 6:30pm reservation for four people. We arrived on time. They claimed the reservation was for 2. They seem in a tizzy about where to put us. Several tables were empty as well as several outside. Don't know what the problem was but it took them a while to figure it out. Service started out slow but was OK once the wine and app coarse were over. The restaurant never did fill up.

We have been to Bacco's sister restaurant and more casual venue, Biga Pizzeria, we had not been to Bacco before. We were not disappointed! The service was top-notch, friendly and attentive.
The noise level was a bit louder than we would have liked, but this did not really detract from our experience.
We had the shrimp appetizer, split a seafood pasta and then ordered the crispy salmon and Mediterranean sea bass and everything was delicious! Afterwards they presented us with a complimentary tiramisu desert that had written "Happy 25th Anniversary". It was wonderful place to celebrate this occasion and we have decided we will definitely be back!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMReal Italian genuine foodI am Italian and very picky with pasta, but here you can find by far the best pasta you can find on the American land. The reason is that the pasta is done as the Italians do. I had pappardelle ai funghi and this was fantastic. Pricing of pasta is fair if you think at the quality. But wines are extremely expensive. They don't offer a kind of wine by jug, the wine of the house, good and cheap, but everything is very expensive. The main courses are also extremely priced for what the real value is. Every time we have dined there, we've tried a different entree and not been disappointed. The wait staff is super attentive. We went specifically this time for Restaurant Week and again they came through. We weren't sure who had the better entree, the salmon or the beef. The appetizer was a melt in your mouth mushroom cream tasting soup that had no cream or butter in it. The tiramisu made a wonderful ending to the meal. Salads are big and were all right. I had branzino. Very tender, could use some seasoning. Salmon was great. Veal scallopini was good but a tad to lemony. Pasta with sousage was good.Nice touch, by presenting me with a piece of terramizzu and b-day candle. Large portion for desserts. Liked cream puffs with melted chocolate. They take the cake. We just had enough time for a quick, early dinner at Bacco Ristorante. The restaurant was nearly empty at 4pm, but the staff and servers were excellent. We started with a stacked salad that is not even listed on the menu. I do not know the name of the salad, but the server knew exactly what I wanted. (Ask for it!) We split two different pasta dishes, the Fettuccine Integrali allo Stracotto from the dinner menu and the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese from the lunch menu. Both had homemade pasta and great sauces. We sat at a booth in the bar--a more casual atmosphere than the main dining room. We were served expertly and with great personality by Milica. The Insulata al'American was finely chopped and lightly dressed with with a vinaigrette, which allowed the flavors to blend well. The Branzino Mediterraneo, a roasted sea bass, was brought to the table whole, then returned to the kitchen to be cut into serving portions and plated. The fish was moist and tender, and the potatoes and zucchini were great accompanyments.
