Bacco-BostonAmazing dinnerBacco has the most beautiful flowers boxes in the north end. We started out the night at the bar sipping
Negroni and malbec. The crowd was vibrant and the bartenders were knowledgeable and attentive.
The hostess took us to a table by the window on the second floor with a great view of salem street ... What a glorious night.
We had prosciutto and mozzarella appetizer. It was heavenly. My entree special was amazing, salmon was cooked to perfection with a lobster tomato cream gnocchi . My husband had his veal saltimbocca and he loved it.
The tiramisu was decadent .... Felt just like a night in Italy with cool Mediterranean breeze! . I highly recommend it !!!!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother excellent experience.Excellent meals for six for our birthday celebration! Reasonable price and friendly service. We'll be back!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth a visit!I was trying to find a last minute reservation that could accommodate 6 people on a Saturday night. My boyfriend's family was in town and I wanted to take them somewhere nice. I chose Bacco based on the positive reviews here and we were not disappointed! They had a reservation for the time we needed and were accommodating when we were running late and had to push back the time. The food was amazing. Our two favorites were the Potato Gnocchi al Forno and the Porcini Ravioli, Prosciutto&Caramelized Shallot Cream (amazing!). The specials were also very tasty. The prices were good, portions were generous, ambiance was nice, and food was very tasty. Would definitely come here again!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was delicious! We hadFood was delicious! We had the lobster ravioli and the seafood pesto pasta special. It was pretty chilly inside the restaurant but great dinner!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMfind in north end.Great Food with a flair. Not a tourist trap, a lot of locals. Bar active and fun and on nice days open windows. The apps are great and their special ravioli is awesome. They will adapt to special food request. Will Be Back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI would take my NANA hereGrowing up Italian I've been weaned, and later spoiled, on authentic italian cooking. So I'm very critical when I judge restaurant-served Italian food. On Mother's day at Bacco's I ordered the pasta with sausage and rabe and, to my surprise, I enjoyed it very much. The flavors I had expected were all present in my dish. I also tasted my companion's Veal dish and it was very good. The Calamari appetizer was tender and tasty and the Caprese salad had quartered whole tomatoes the size of tennis balls with generous portions of mozzarella. The hostess that afternoon was thoughtful and patient in accomodating us, and our server was attentive. All-in-all a very good experience and I would spend my money here again, any time. e' Molto Buono5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere and the foodGreat atmosphere and the food and service did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend Bacco.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTakes reservations which isTakes reservations which is nice, as not all restaurants do in the North End. Food was very good as was the service: attentive without overpowering. Good basic Italian menu. Kept replacing great tasting bread basket for hungry teens without even asking and filled water glasses. Reasonable price point for quality and quantity of food. Seafood Risotto was excellent with visible pieces of lobster, scallops and large shrimp. Gnocchi was also tasty. Portion sizes were large and service was well paced, not too fast or slow. Enjoyed raspberry ricky martini with real raspberry puree. Seating in upstairs was airy and light with windows looking out on N. End streets.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our "go-to" placeThis is our "go-to" place in the North End and we dine in the North End at least a couple times a month. It's the place we take out of town guests because the food is consistently excellent. It's not just standard Italian like chicken parmesean, but more creative Italian yet not intimidating. The staff is especially knowledgeable, attentive and friendly too.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious is the word to describeDelicious is the word to describe Bacco. Wonderful service and excellent food at a good price. A gem that we go to often.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first visit toThis was my first visit to Bacco. Really like the space and people who work there. I had eggplant parm and a spinach salad. Spinach salad was delicious. Eggplant was good, but not the way I like it prepared. So, my review is influenced by my strong personal preferences on the dish. I will definitely try it again and recommend it.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband & I went here toMy husband & I went here to celebrate my birthday. Food was delicious! Hubby had veal parmigiana with ceasar salad & I had chicken piccata with caprese salad. Everything was amazing! Wine selection was greay too. Plus, the service was fantastic! From our hostess to the waiter to the bartender, everyone was friendly, attentive, helpful and all had a warm smile on their face. If you want a great meal, good drinks and a nice night out, I highly recommend Bacco.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMCame for restaurant week andCame for restaurant week and was blown away by the amazing dishes and attentiveness of our waiter. The only things I didn't like were very small things: stairs to go upstairs to seating (not that I didn't like it, just didn't prefer it, my boyfriend has a hard time with stairs) and the fact that the tables were so close together. Both my boyfriend and myself were touching chairs with the people behind us.
Overall, lovely! Food was flawless for my taste and was able to try some interesting dishes3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe we greeted immediatelyWe we greeted immediately and sat at a lovely table. Our waiter was attentive but did not rush us through dinner. He allowed us to relax and enjoy the evening.
The food was very good. One main course was not quite hot enough.
Loved the Restaurant Week Menu Choices.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AM1st Time Restaurant WeekThis was my first time experiencing restaurant week and I choose Bacco due to the great reviews it had gotten. My boyfriend and I were not disappointed. Great food, good service, fun atmosphere! I definitely would go again!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMTook the family for restaurantTook the family for restaurant week to expose them to authentic Italian cuisine. While I thoroughly enjoyed my food and libations, my 8 year old did not at all appreciate the menu. They do not serve pizza (unless you pre-order when you make a reservation), fries, ketchup, or ice cream. To quote my 8 year old, "what kind of Italian restaurant doesn't have pizza?!" LOL! My recommendation is to leave the kids home & enjoy a night out with more seasoned companions!
Bon apetite!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMMy friend and I enjoyed ourselves. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves. The food was great and our waiter, Ben, was outstanding! He went out of his way to make our experience a memorable one. He was friendly and pleasant and made us feel like family.
When we visit Boston again we will surely make it a priority to have dinner at Bacco's!
Thank you,
