Wow!The five course prix fixe menu is quite an experience. One wonderful dish after another kept appearing. Extensive wine list too. Great for a romantic evening or special occasion. Be sure to some with your appetite!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMTaster's DelightDepth of flavors, spectacular presentation, professional/attentive service. The chef's morsels were a delightful addition. They accommodated my husband's gluten-free needs eloquently throughout every course and tasting. Bravo!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceHad a great dinner at Bacchanalia. Would definitely recommend it.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial Occasion-Birthday dinnerWe thought the evening would be a quite romantic evening. However the bar patrons were loud and one table of guests were as well; This boorish behavior spoiled the ambiance. The food was good but overpriced. We had dined at the restaurant several times before and shared the 5 courses. So we knew we each could not eat all 5 courses and we ordered a la carte. The portions were small and overpriced, including the half glasses of wine.
The service was timely and unobtrusive.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAll the food and service wasAll the food and service was very good. I can't wait to return and try more off the menu!!!!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Tasting MenuThis restaurant has a really great tasting menu. Each dish was well thought out and skillfully prepared. Vegetables tasted like they had just been picked. It really is a wonderful experience, especially if you like to try different, flavorful and interesting food. If you're into huge portions then this is not the place for you. The portions are petite and delicate....just the right size to get a couple mouthfuls of something that tastes sublime. My husband and I love to eat that way so it was perfect for us. Beware....your wallet will be considerably and I do mean considerably lighter when you leave.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceThis was our first visit to Bacchanalia. It was a wonderful dining experience. The food preparation, taste, and presentation showed a high level expertise and attention to detail. The entire staff was very professional and attentive and friendly.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMHands-down the best restaurantHands-down the best restaurant in Atlanta. Each course was exquisitely prepared with amazingly subtle flavors and aromas. Our waitperson was knowledgeable and always at hand when we needed him, but never overbearing. It is a bit pricey (understatement), but you owe it to yourself to experience Bacchanalia at least once.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Atlanta's bestGreat food, small plates, magnificent desserts and some complementary stuff on the side from the chef. Recomme only for a special ovcasion6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFine diningBacchanalia has definitely earned it's reputation for fine dining. Wait staff is attentive but not obstructive, the portions were perfect. I was pleasantly surprise to find Oregon wines on their list. The food was exquisitely done and presented. Great place for special occasions.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMLived up to it's reputation! After hearing and reading about Bacchanalia for years, we finally went thanks to a gift from our children. We can now see why this restaurant continues to be rated as one of the finest, if not the finest, in Atlanta. Everything about it was perfect. The food was fantastic, the menu interesting and diverse and well crafted, the service impeccable. Pricey, but worth the splurge for a special occasion. Definitely hope to go back sometime in the future.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable DinnerI had heard Bacchanalia was among the best in Atlanta so my expectations were set high, but they did not disappoint. The staff was amazing, the ambiance fantastic, and the food was so good that my limited vocabulary doesn't capture it. My wife and I had a wonderful time. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a special evening, wanting to celebrate, or just looking for a great, relaxing, dinner.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful eveningWe celebrated our 40th anniversary at Bacchanalia and had a wonderful dining experience. Look at the pictures that some people have posted and this will show you what the dishes will look like. We enjoyed the food gifts from the chef, very tasty. Our total experience was great and our waiter was outstanding!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time andThis was our first time and we look forward to coming back. The care and thought put into the menu and ingredients was top notch. A true example for quality dining that Atlanta needs.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was outstanding. The food was outstanding. The service was not quite up to standards up an elite restaurant. I believe they forgot to bring us our 4th course and after waiting for awhile, we finally asked (and it was brought out almost immediately).
If the service were improved to a level similar to the quality of the food and the price, this place would be unbeatable.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBest of the bestIt is not often that I get to eat food as good as what we had here. This truly was a one of kind meal and was worth the wait to get a table. There is really nothing I can say bad about the evening other than that it had to end.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOut of this world serviceYes, the food is beyond compare, but I was most impressed by the level of service and attention to detail. I told one person about some dietary restrictions I have, but everyone who served us seemed to be aware of them. And the thing I loved most about the service was that it was quiet-- they weren't interrupting our dinner every five minutes to ask if we needed something, they just served us well and efficiently. Aaaaand the food was absolute perfection.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's not just five courses. Each course is modest in size, but do not despair. The chef added at least three small "gifts" along the way. All were delightful. After two hours, I rose completely satiated and remained so for the next day.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDoesn't Get Any Better in Atlanta! For the price, a much better meal than the French Laundry.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBacchanalia was greatThere is a reason why Bacchanalia is rated the best restaurant in Atlanta. Food and service was top notch. Favorite of the night was the cheese cart that was rolled out. I got to pick out of over 16 cheeses and they were excellent. Recommend Bacchanalia to anyone!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Restaurant in AtlantaThis is always our go to place for that extra special occasion. We always feel as if we've gotten the best meal of our life here and the service is fantastic. I've never had anything close to even a regular experience here, it is always amazing.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous eveningIn order to have a full view of the kitchen, we opted to sit at the bar. Everything was Perfect. Bartender Christian was very well versed in both the food and wine offerings. Service was PERFECT, coordinating the arrival of each course with our glasses of wine by the glass. We were treated to several tasty treats during our stay, compliments of the chef.
The food was over -the- top delicious and beautifully presented. Wine list had excellent choices.
This was an evening to remember for us picky food fanatics!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply FantasticNeed I say more... Bacchanalia is consistently ranked among the very top restaurants in Atlanta, and they did not disappoint. Truly a unique dining experience.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best meal ever!My wife and I celebrated a big anniversary at Bacchanalia after hearing great things word of mouth. It is absolutely the best (and highest priced) meal we have ever eaten. But I would not call it expensive considering the expert cuisine and service. This was the first time we could say, "I could not make this at home - even with the recipe." The meal was artistic. Save your pennies and go!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSkip the EntreesBacchanalia was wonderful as usual. The fixed prix dinner was delightful to all palates. All the pre-entree items were exquisite. Perhaps that's the reason that after that experience my entree was "just OK." I had the wood grilledprime NY strip. Everyone else said their entrees were delicious. (The house made cavatelli, Jamison farm lamb were very good.) 4th & 5th courses, augmented by the Chef's offering were superp. I love Baccahanalia.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMYear in, year out, this isYear in, year out, this is one of Atlanta's most sophisticated and tasty restaurants to savor. The service is impeccable, the noise level quiet, and the food leaves a lasting impression. Expensive, but highly recommended.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for a special occasionMy husband and I went to Bacchanalia to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was our first time at the restaurant, and we had a very good dining experience. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided us with some of the best service I’ve ever had. The food was delicious and the menu allowed us to be a bit more adventurous than we normally are. The portions are small, but with five courses we left full and very satisfied. My favorite dish was the Wood Grilled Prime NY Strip. Absolutely wonderful! The restaurant has great ambiance and is nice and quiet which is a big plus for me.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAs usual, the food and serviceAs usual, the food and service at Bacchanalia was impeccable. The only problem I have is that the menu is getting boring because it hasn't changed much over the years. With such talented chefs, I would like for them to tantalize our epicurean fondness with more new and exciting dishes.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMTop Dining in AtlantaWhat a great experience. From the moment you arrive, until they hand you a personalized copy of the menu to remember your evening you are treated to the ultimate dining evening. The food preparation is excellent as is the taste and the service is impeccable. I will be coming back and would not hesistate to recommend Bacchanalia.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Food, So-So AtmosphereThe food at Bacchanalia was excellent. Every course. Service was efficient, timely and positive, but we found the tone to be a little too stiff/formal. We understand that it comes with the territory for fine dining, but a little personality and charm from the wait staff would've made our night more memorable. Also, we found the space itself classy and calming but not exciting or all that elegant/interesting. Many other establishments in Atlanta have memorable/sophisticated decor that matches their food quality, high prices and hype. Bacchanalia disappointed us in this respect. Also, I had indicated when making my reservation that I was celebrating a birthday. Perhaps that note never made it to the restaurant because nothing was said/done.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food in Atlanta. PrepareBest food in Atlanta. Prepare for a very special night. Not pretentious in the least.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding experience, fiveOutstanding experience, five course offering with two additional courses brought out by chef. Only problem is that turning the table was more important to the wait staff than the diners. Had to slow down deliberately or they would have had us out of there in an hour.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible!Went for my father's 50th birthday.
The food was incredible! The servers were very knowledgable and we even got to meet the executive chef!
I would highly reccomend this experience to anyone celebrating a special occasion!4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMUST GO, MUST GO, MUST GO!!!Outstanding. Undoubtably one of the best meals we've ever had. Each course was elevated beyond the previous. It was delectable without being pompous, overbearing or arrogant. The server was so incredibly helpful, sincere and educated that I felt instantly comfortable and the food was so impressive that I'm disappointed we don't live close enough to come weekly.
Fabulous. I can't tell you enough how much we loved it. Thank you so kindly for helping us to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary weekend with you!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA Wonderful EveningThe 5 course meal was wonderful. From start to finish everything worked. Beautiful layers of flavor in each dish. Service was seemless and spot on.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is definitely a spotThis is definitely a spot for "foodies" and frankly a bit of a stretch for the less gastronomically adventourous. Not a spot for the meat and potatoes crowd, but a step out of the ordinary for special occasions.
The staffs deserve a special acknowledgement for their service and hospitality.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMService was excellent. FoodService was excellent. Food was very interesting and not something you would see somewhere else. Had one course that was a little disappointing, as I didn't taste what was described. Wine pairing were really good and encourage me to try wines I wouldn't ordinarily order, but really enjoyed. But overall, a great special occasion experience.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server Amy made the night. Our server Amy made the night. Her attention to details were right on along with the wait staff that assisted her. She made a strong effort to ensure that our experience was consistant througout the evening in spite of the fact that all sections in the restaurant were full. The food is great as always. We have been coming to Bacchanalia for over 8 years! The price of the service and meal are well worth it. They make you feel like a patron instead of a paying customer. Many restaurants have great food, service, and the prices to go along with it. What makes Bacchanalia unique is that they deliver each quadrant consistently year after year.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food with inspiredAmazing food with inspired dishes throughout. Everything tastes great and every ingredient works toward the total concept.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat menu, service, and dinnerThe store in front of the restaurant threw us off but once we walked to the back of the store and found the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was great and the menu was very well done. The five course menu had lots to choose from and everything I ordered was delicious. The only thing my husband didn't like was the oysters, which he said tasted fishy. But everything else was very well done!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our third time atThis was our third time at Bacchanlia for a special celebration and each dinner has been a great experience!
Joseph and Mary Danules4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThe wait staff is attentive,The wait staff is attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food is a unique combination of artistry, creativity and imagination. My wife and I travel extensively; it is my favorite restaurant and the best restaurant that I have ever attended. We have celebrated every anniversary of our marriage there (12 years ).3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is great spot to celebrateThis is great spot to celebrate an anniversary: We had a wonderful meal with excellent service. The atmosphere was beautiful, but I would have liked a little more intimacy (we were able to hear conversations from both tables on either side of us).3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for my 40th birthdayWent for my 40th birthday and loved it! Only downside was the steep corkage fee ($25) but since we had a special bottle in hand, we went for it. If you're looking for large portion sizes, you'll be disappointed but trust me, you won't leave hungry.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved everything there.I loved everything there. Even though some dishes had an acquired taste, the food was superb! Presentation was great along with the service. Will be back!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe dining experience is worthThe dining experience is worth every penny at Bacchanalia. Each and every course is a culinary delight.2/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were offered the priceWe were offered the price fix option but decided to order a la carte. It was the right choice for us because we don't need 5 courses. We liked our salads, but the oyster appetizer wasn't our taste. The lamb entree was ok, but not something I'd order again. The sirloin was very good according to my husband.
This restaurant is about the experience, the service, elegance and presentation in my opinion. We enjoyed the experience.
Also, for special occasions they go out of their way to make it memorable.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
