Service was excellent; our foursome each had different meals, one from the fixed price menu. We all enjoyed our food. I had sole which may have been slightly under seasoned but was still very good. I appreciate the fact that portion size were appropriate rather than overwhelming. The wine list was reasonably priced, with, according to some at the table more knowledgable than me, a number of excellent selections.

Again another marcelous dinner celebrating highlands restaurants. The appetizer were wonderful. Three of is had the mushroom spinach crepe one had the soup. All enjoyed. The dinner selections were great. The chicken with capers was ample moist and filling. The desert bread pudding was great also. Its a must do more often

I have gone to Babette's on several occasions. I keep returning because the service, ambiance and food are always great. Marla is always warm and welcoming. I took my daughter to brunch on this most recent outing. The shrimp and grits were fantastic! One of my favorite places to take myself on a date:)

Was really looking forward to our meal, reviews were great, everything looked great. Sadly though everything went downhill after meeting our waitress. We were sitting at a table by the kitchen and staircase, normally would be an issue, the food made it a non issue. The waitress though took all the pleasure away. I would give her name but she never introduced herself. All the food was great, but anything we asked for was met with a scowl. The only time a smile came close was when we were given the check. We had to ask for our wine well into the meal, that was an issue, also it hadn't been chilled down and would never had been ready to drink during our meal. Shame as it would have been a great meal if we had a nice waiter.

Babette's is a lovely place with reliably delicious food and wonderful service. This was our third time eating there. The spinach/mushroom crepes appetizer were excellent, and the grilled swordfish my husband got was as well. I gave 4/5 stars for two reasons: the mushroom soup we had as a appetizer was fine, but not great, and our server was not having a good day. She was fine, but crabby; she made me want to cheer her up. But it's such a cozy place the rest of the ambience made up for it.

Was here with my new GF (I'm mid-60s) on October 17, 2014 to celebrate her b'day, just the two of us. Love the atmosphere, service was okay, but I had snuck in a b'day cake and somehow the waitress didn't get tipped off, brought us a dessert menu -- so I had to spoil the surprise for my GF and go tell the waitress about the cake lying back in the kitchen. Food was good, but frankly, not worth the price paid . . . and I'm soon giving up on higher-priced restaurants in part due to this visit. It was my "tipping point." I am SO SO SO tired of paying eight or nine dollars for the least expensive glass of wine on the menu; at Babette's our glasses were barely half full. My scallops on risotto were warm, not hot. Overall food amount = bit skimpy

Babette's is always a special experience: excellent food, reliably attentive service, and a special ambience related to its site in a charming old home with good art and an intimate feel. It's a great place to meet old friends for a long, relaxed evening where it's quiet enough for good conversation. Bar drinks and dessert are wonderful-- just like the appetizers and entrees!

We booked a reservation for the 4 remaining days when we heard brunch was ending at Babette's. Last Sunday we ate there and were completely confused by the decision to change the brunch menu and remove two if the most popular items. Croque Madame and traditional eggs Benedict, two items which had to be the best sellers, had been removed. These were the two items we ordered every Sunday so this disappointed us greatly. We ordered something else and of course the food was delicious and well prepared as always but not what we traveled there every Sunday for. And with the surge of activity due to the publicity over the ending of brunch, the place was packed and noisy, and the food service slow. We Have cancelled our remaining 3 reservations.

An extended family of seven, we went to dinner at Babette's to celebrate our matriarch's milestone of 70 years. The whiskey sours and pear martinis began the hugely successful evening. I think we tried everything from the steak to the halibut to the duck and it was all delectable. The service was delightful, present when needed but not obtrusive. The ambiance was perfect. They remembered my mom's birthday with a chocolate Happy Birthday inscribed on the dessert plate. Really special evening. I love this place!

Babette's just may be the last best brunch place in the ATL. When Marla closes her doors at the end of the month, The ATL losses a perfect egg, wonderful cooked to order - Salmon -brochette - every dish to perfection ! And the best environment to enjoy an hour or so with friends, who really feel at home. It is my hope that Marla will change he mind, or at the very least post 10 brunches around town she would recommend. We'll miss you my drear. Please stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I frequently dine for Brunch at here due to the strong selection of dishes. Both the Wild Mushroom and the Cauliflower soups are excellent ways to start the meal. And I personally like to follow that with their Ribeye Steak Sandwhich, but if you prefer omelettes I also hear good things about them. Another reason I continue to return is how relaxing and "at home" I feel inside. I simply love the environment as well as the type of folks that work and dine at Babette's. The only thing that bothered me this last visit is that I was never asked or brought back a refill for the beverage I had finished, and since I wasn't in a mood to bring it up, I settled with the water already on our table. Besides that, I will gladly continue coming back.

Babette's is our go-to restaurant for pretty much every occasion - holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. - but also our favorite place to go in general because it's like visiting friends - one of whom REALLY knows how to cook! There is a feeling of warmth that lasts long after we're home again and, if it's too long between visits, we really miss it. My daughter and I have particularly enjoyed our mother-daughter brunches over the past number of years - just the two of us catching up, having real conversations while being completely spoiled by Marla and Robin and the entire staff. I highly recommend Babette's to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience with amazing food and equally amazing people. A real Atlanta treasure.

Service sufficient, décor wonderful...only hiccup was main course. Scallop dish was way too heavy and scallops tasted like they had been frozen. We dined here for my birthday dinner, and I could not have been more pleased with my choice. The decor is lovely, the service wonderful and the food delicious. I started with a very tasty Whiskey Sour that I would order again. We had the corn chowder - yummy, I had the starter of bay scallops on spinach risotto - light and fresh, not swimming in cream and butter. We split the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and finished off with their signature dessert of chocolate bread pudding with housemade banana ice cream. It was a wonderful evening, and I would definitely go back.

Asked to be seated on deck. Good choice as was very pleasant and we were the only ones choosing this over inside air conditioning. Owner/Chef Marla seated us herself, suggesting most comfortable spot. Waiter Robin was attentive without being intrusive, and maintained a good humor despite having to serve us in the heat. Bloody Marys and a 1/2 basket of scones & muffins to start, then friend had Shrimp & Grits & I had Croque Madame. Felt such a pleasant experience was a good value @ less than $50 total, excluding gratuity. Free valet parking.
