Diner Reviews
  • "This is a perfect restaurant for a Sunday brunch. The food is delicious (and special, with unique touches on dishes like eggs Benedict). The service is great. Best of all, it's a wonderful quiet place to linger and chat--with the bonus of a visit to the Byrd Cookie shop!"

  • "I was in Savannah on business for the week and B Tillman was, by far, had the best food of the entire week. It's newly remodeled and located in the same building as the Byrd Cookie Company (they're tiny and delicious). I had the pan seared Sheepshead and absolutely LOVED it! I had never eaten it before and was pleasantly surprised by the texture and flavor."

  • "I love B.Tillman! This was our first time going for Sunday brunch and we were not disappointed. The food was stellar, the staff was friendly and our server Dave was great. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Made a Sunday Brunch visit for the 1st time - was not disappointed - selection was good and our party of 3 enjoyed 3 different selections to the fullest."

  • "This was a first class establishment and I'm telling everyone how great it is. Will recommend and put my reputation on the line for this restaurant. Awesome"

  • "Staff was very attentive and the food was exquisite!"

  • "We had a pleasant evening. The menu is very limited, especially if Brussels sprouts aren't among your favorite vegetables. The food was above average, presentation very nice and flavors were excellent. One member of our party had an issue with a particular ingredient for which the kitchen made special care to avoid. Service was excellent until we had finished eating. Then the server pretty much ignored us unless we made a point of gesturing our needs. Everyone at our table was happy with our choices which included both a hot and cold shrimp dishes, soup, pimento dip and a beet tower."

  • "The salad appetizer was fresh; the dressing was oily to a fault, even after another was requested. I do not know how pickled vegetables could taste the way this dish did. I had the Southern Deviled Eggs; they were eggs and they were deviled. That is about all I could write about the three I was given. The yolks were tasteless and off color. My trout was not cooked properly. The skin remained on the oddly shaped piece I was served, while the flesh was neither firm nor flakey. The sides were jumbled together and cooked as though an afterthought. Both the location and the concept are promising; it is the restaurant itself that is lacking and gives the impression someone was in a hurry to open and many details were half-completed."

  • "All of the dishes we selected (pate appetizers, eggs Benedict, shrimp and grits) were excellent, with a custom twist on each. The waitstaff were prompt but unobtrusive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a quiet brunch with friends. I'll definitely be back!"

  • "I wanted to like the restaurant, but it just wasn't that great. Good food, but not great. Nice servers but waited a good bit for service even with reservations and the restaurant wasn't full."

  • "B Tillman was absolutely amazing, our server Dave was genuine and kind, the food was incredible and the dirty martinis were among the best I have had. I would certainly reccomend going here, and will certainly return."

  • "We were in Savannah for Valentines day with no hope for a dinner reservation downtown. But open Table showed a list of their clients with openings. It is out in the Burbs, about 20 min from town but the GPS got us there. Worth the trip. Food was outstanding..a very limited menu,,,we has fresh sea trout perfectly prepared."

  • "B Tillman is one of the best discoveries in Southside; it is comparable to Local 11Ten and 700 Drayton (Mansion's restaurant). My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and the food served. The outside dining area was open and friendly, perfect for a group to hang out. The inside is contemporary and tastefully spaced out. I ordered the Braised Pork which was very tender (slightly heavy on the sauce) but perfect with the Kale. Beautifully presented. My husband had the special trout which was nicely crispy and flavorful without being over salty or bland. The four seating table is slightly awkward where the center leg gets in the way of you moving your legs. The staff is very friendly and attentive. One of my new favorites."

  • "I've been in the area for around 10 months and have tried a lot of different places, but this place by far beats them all. The food is amazing and there is nothing else like it in Savannah!! We had the gnocchi to start and all I can say is wow!!! For our second course we had the flounder and the pork. Both were amazing and the pork itself was so tender (no knife needed). We decided to go for it and get a couple of the deserts and they didn't disappoint! The food and service were amazing along with the wine list and drink menu. A true find in Savannah!!! Cant wait to come back!!!"

  • "If you don't mind not dining downtown this place is great. Menu is always changing and everything there is fantastic. Always quiet my favorite meal in town."

  • "B.Tillman was an amazing experience-- great food, Sam was a perfect server, and the wine list is very impressive. I'm planning to use this location for group meetings next month. It's the perfect location, lots of parking, beautiful large dining room that appears to convert to various configurations to meet any groups needs. This is our new 'go to' spot -- we'll be back next week!"

  • "We had a delicious brunch last Sunday...we each ordered the burger plate, less the burger! The other items included on this dish were too yummy to pass up. Our server and the chef were most accommodating. Added treats were miniature biscuits served while we waited and cookies served with the coffee. After our meal, we tasted several varieties of cookies in the shop, including the hopefully soon to be released gluten-free chocolate chip cookie....delicious!!"

  • "We had a great time. The service was spectacular! Our server was very nice and the food was really good. It is located behind another establishment so you have to make sure to keep an eye out for it, but it was not hard to find. We would definetly go back."

  • "This was our second visit. Sam was our server on both occasions. I was very impressed on how much she remembered about our first visit. Service was 5 star. She checked up on us frequently without being a nuisance. Our water glasses were refilled regularly which is a real plus. My wife gets very frustrated at other places we dine because the service does not pay much attention to water glasses, but to others."

  • "Locating B. Tillman was a challenge since it was dark and tucked away behind a more prominent restaurant building. After a quick phone call, we realized we were looking right at their front door. How much of a tourist can you be? Once inside and comfortable, our decision to visit was well rewarded. Menu, staff, ambience, just wonderful. Truly a lovely Savannah-style dining experience that will make you feel local and welcome. We were so impressed that we visited a second time on our way home. Repeat customers are always a true indicator of a quality experience."

  • "We were so impressed by our first visit the previous week that we made sure to stop again on our way back north. This establishment is just a treasure. Menu, staff, creativity, all equal a dining experience that will not disappoint. The competition of better known restaurants is a test for B. Tillman that they are more than able to meet. So, my fellow tourists, try them once and you will agree that a second visit is more than justified."

  • "Dining here is all fun & no hassle. The suburban setting offers easy parking & the huge dining room affords comfort & privacy. The food is imaginatively prepared locally sourced making for an outstanding meal. The modest corkage fee & its own retail wine store colocated give the already satisfying wine list a vastness unmatched in city."

  • "Wife had the prix fixe lamb dish which was very good. It came with an ample and delicious shrimp appetizer and also dessert. 3 of us had the burgers and we all agreed they were as good as we've had. Fries were very good as well. Portions were large enough for the biggest of eaters. Waiter was outstanding."

  • "Seven of us had dinner. Hamburger was good but way overpriced. Fish was excellent and fit the price. Nice atmosphere considering the building used to be a Lowe's. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Good evening at a reasonable price."
