b, A Bolton Hill BistroNice brunch, skimpy portionsStopped for brunch during the Maryland Film Festival and was impressed by neighborly vibe and friendly, efficient service. Seemed like the place to go for an upscale meal, with plenty of outdoor seating on the corner of residential streets. The brunch selection was imaginative and tasty, but given the prices the portions kind of sparse. Some bread would have been a welcome touch, but none was offered.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA favorite go-to placeWe ate at B.Bistro after attending the Maryland Film Festival -- something everyone reading this review should think about going to next year! It is walking distance from both theater venues and is really the only game in town for high-quality food in the area. As usual, food was great, service too. Laid-back atmosphere in a beautiful old house in one of the prettiest neighborhoods in Baltimore. We had a fantastic malbec suggested by our waiter, as well as lovely seasonal salads. The small plate options (we tried the pate and the wild mushroom ravioli with fava beans) were delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. We have never had a bad meal at this place!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious brunchGlass of cava, yummy smoked salmon, decadent berry stuffed pancakes...everything was very good. A great brunch in Baltimore.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNever fails to pleaseThis restaurant is in our neighborhood. And, although it's sometimes considered more for special occasions as it can be pricey, we always manage to get a smaller plate, a bottle of wine and even dessert for under $60.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood bistroExcellent food and location. Outdoor seeing is wonderful although we were almost forgotten by the staff, being around the side of the building. Other than that, I would highly recommend a visit to B's for brunch or dinner.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFood yeah - service booServer spilled hot coffee on two people on our coffee and he never brought us our bill. We had to go ask for our check.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood Gem!I took my Husband for his birthday. We made reservations but ended up sitting outside.
The service was great and everything down to the after dinner coffee was excellent!
The cool part about this place is that it's set in the Bolton Hill Neighborhood.
It's a great location! I would highly recommend for a date night!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA great Sunday brunch in thisA great Sunday brunch in this relaxed neighborhood setting. We had the French Toast (outstanding) and the Salmon hash (very tasty, but not perfect), followed by the blood oranage creme brulee (superb). Coffees are good but not Baltimore's best (coming from admitted espresso junkies). The weather wasn't quite warm enough yet, but the outdoor seating is exactly where we'll be wanting to sit when we come back - soon!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMMy daughter, sister-in-lawMy daughter, sister-in-law and I had a delicious fun dinner before a performance at the Lyric. The staff was awesome except for one of the food runners who simply needed to smile and act like she wanted to serve.... Our waitress was awesome and the food some of the best I've had!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was amazing. It wasThe food was amazing. It was original, local and well prepared. The tables are a bit too close along the wall. Fortunately we did not have folks on both sides. I would definitely go back and recommend it. I look forward to a summer night dining outside.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMLittle gem In out-of-way placeGreat food in a nice neighborhood setting. Excellent wines to complement varied menu.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic!Fantastic food, went above and beyond what we expected.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was our first visit toIt was our first visit to the restaurant--AWESOME!!! The food was exquisite, the service impeccable, and ambiance was wonderful. This is definitely a foodie destination and with their extensive wine list, it makes for a complete dining experience. Everyone at 'b' was helpful and friendly, and really cared to make our dining experience memorable. WE would not hesitate to recommend 'b' to any of our friends! We hope to get back soon!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMYour food is terrific andYour food is terrific and your service is excellent --but the NOISE! My guest and I couldn't really talk without screaming. We came on a Friday night; perhaps other nights are quieter? I love everything about your restaurant, including the fact that I can walk there, but unless I am seated outside or come at a time that it is less crowded and presumably less noisy, I don't think I would choose your restaurant if I had any hope of communicating with my dinner partner.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThanks for a lovely meal,Thanks for a lovely meal, we had a great time and will be back!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGumbo-licious!The gumbo (a special that day) was spectacular--a rich, delicious, thick broth chock full of seafood and meats! My friend's roast duck was perfect also.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Easter brunch.Fantastic Easter brunch. It took a while (too long) for us to be seated, but the food and waitstaff were so good. The duck tostada was amazing and I know everyone was happy and sated.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWhy Did We Wait So Long? Our first time and you just have to wonder what we were thinking by waiting so long. Seriously good food, a very friendly and efficient wait staff. Most restaurants just give a weak try on a chicken dish to placate non-beef eaters. Merdedith convinced me to do the chicken and it was terrific. Nice eclectic wine list at reasonable prices is a plus. We will be back to dine outside in warmer weather. b is just a fun place for a quality meal.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent atmosphere, service,Excellent atmosphere, service, appetizers, salads, entree and dessert, accompanied by very good drinks and wine. Excellent evening.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMwhat a surprise!first time visit. great place all around. will be back soon
a Baltimore gem3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMB and beignetsB is my favorite brunch spot in Baltimore. And their beignets are not bad either :)3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood gem with much to offerI have been to b a few times and usually it's very full but this time it was very empty, not sure why, as the food is incredible! We got a great table by the kitchen and enjoyed a bottle of wine recommended by our waiter. And although the place was very sparsely filled, we did not receive suffocating service, which we really appreciated. The food was delicious as was the dessert. b really is a neighborhood treasure as it's nestled in a gorgeous section of Bolton Hill and has a great patio in the warmer months. As a nearby resident I will definitely be back!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
