  • "Special food. Great quality w/ outstanding service. If lucky to get one of the scarce outdoor tables, you'll be rewarded by a fantastic night view of Brickell skyline. Pity it's closed for lunch."

  • "This was by far one of my best experiences in fine dinning. I had a intimate Birthday Dinner Celebration with my sister and 2 of my girlfriends. It was the perfect setting, scenery, and service for the occasion. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, the service and personnel was exceptional. The food was exquisite, cocktails were just right and the waiters Brent and Freddy made the experience extremely special and enjoyable. Have and will continue to recommend Azul for the best fine dining restaurant in Miami. Azul, thank you for making my Birthday celebration so special! Dentaljen"

  • "I'm not sure what was better, the food or the service! So amazing! Can't wait to go back"

  • "Great experience! Brent was our waiter and provided an incredible dining experience. Food was excellent. 5 star dining."

  • "The restaurant is very well located at Brickel Island. The food and wine list is very good, But to appreciate the meal and the wine the service is much faster than expected for a good restaurant. I was not looking for "fast food". To enjoy the place, the view and to prolong a conversation with a girlfriend or a wife you cannot have an entire meal in less than one hour!"

  • "We came to Azul for the view. I had been to Cafe Sambal many times. Every time I thought about trying Azul I put it off. I had visitors from out of town and they wanted to see something really pretty and have a good dinner so i thought of the view from the Manderin Oriental Hotel. Needless to say we got exactly what we came for, a beautiful view with the bonus of a fabulous meal."

  • "Ceviche, sushi, key lime pie, Grouper, was all fantastic. As was the waterfront view."

  • "I went to Azul with my boyfriend for our two year anniversary. Everything was perfect, and the food was outstanding, especially the dessert (which was the key lime pie with passion fruit marshmallow and the chocolate hazelnut crunch bar)"

  • "I have dined at Azule twice before. They have changed their menu for the worse but the food was still decent. The food is presented beautifully. I would recommend the grouper. Unfortunately the service was terrible. It took waaay to long for food to be served and it felt as if they forgot about us. The manager did come over to apologize but never made an effort to make up for the poor service. For the prices they are charging, everything should be impeccable."

  • "Very attentive employee!! The food was great!! The view was amazing!!"

  • "From the moment you walk in, you feel like Royalty! They address you as Mr. XXXXX. Very courtious. The food was surprisingly good. Its a bit pricey but we were there for our anniversary so we expected to pay $$$$. We had dinner in the dining room overlooking the bay. Then we were taken outside to the terrace for a romantic view of Brickell Bay.They surprised us with a complimentary dessert and complimentary glass of Moscato Wine. My wife was in heaven and I was a champ for choosing the restaurant."

  • "This restaurant easily earns its Forbes 5-star rating! A wonderful experience."

  • "Piped music was annoyingly intrusive and spoiled the ambience of the place and made conversation difficult."
    Dined on 2/21/2014
  • "The staff and food at Azul were very good. Very attentive staff made the experience special by customizing a tasting menu, as well as giving me (a solo diner) newspapers and magazines to read. The restaurant is a bit confused as to whether it is French or sea food, but I can't hold that against them when the food tasted fantastic."

  • "I've been coming to this place for yrs and always have had a perfect dining experience until our last visit. Although it wasn't perfect as normal, I still rate it very high. We believe it was an isolated incidents that caused this not to be in our top 10 experiences but will gladly still recommend this place to anybody. We will be back next time in Miami to see if they redeem themselves, which I'm sure they will. Great food, wine and people who work there make this great restaurant."

  • "Courteous and efficient staff. The food was wonderful. The cheeks and grouper were to die for! The blue crab sushi was the best I've ever had and I eat sushi often. The grouper was perfect We will be back"

  • "Server was very knowledgable re. the menu. & wine list. He gracefully steered us toward certain items & away from others without coming on as overbearing. As the meal progressed, it became apparent that he had done us several favors."

  • "Overall great experience, quality of good is great, wine list extensive, but overpriced."

  • "The foo d and service were great but the restaurant was cold and empty, same as hotel entrance/lobby. Perhaps was a Gerry slow night or there is just too much new supply of restaurants for the current demand"

  • "This was our best meal of the vacation! Absolutely flawless service. Food was impeccable. Exactly as described, fresh and delicious. We will be visiting Azul again soon! Nothing but perfection is always experienced at the Mandarin Oriental."

  • "We were so attentively but not intrusively taken care of, from seating to the thank you and good bye. The food was delicious and the wine list long and impressive. There were a few outside tables, but no outside light making it hard to read the menu - that was the only down side, and the restaurant did provide a flash light."

  • "Azul was able to convince once again. The service from the valet to the sommelier was outstanding. The Wagyu flank steak was tender which is an accomplishment for this type of cut. The forest mushrooms were lovely but a touch of truffle oil would have added a bit more flavor. The view over downtown is spectacular at day or night. The only negative thing one can comment is that the restaurants adds 18% of gratuity automatically to the bill but wen presenting the credit card slip for signature the gross amount is charged and the gratuity field is left empty. This may confuse some patrons and should be changed to read "additional gratuity" so as to not collect twice 18% from patrons lacking the mathematical acuity to detect this."

  • "we have dined at AZUL many times over the past 6 years. recently there is a somewhat disappointing downward trend as the the restaurant is no longer quite the focus of attention it once was. the service is definitely no longer the luxuriously welcoming, personally directed experience that so characterized the place. the menu has clearly been simplified and moved away from the unusual dishes MS bernstein initially put on the menu. perhaps the owners feel this will make for better appeal but it seems to me that this has taken an iconic and special restaurant and tuned it down. the remodeling of the open kitchen which now hides things from view is greatly less attractive. i dont go to azul for sushi..."

  • "Waiter after been gone for a long time brought us the desert menu before we got our main course my food so salty that was not ate able Will not go back there ever again 150.00 dollar meal for two expensive and not worth it"

  • "started out at the bar. Bartender was very kind and entertaining. His drinks were amazing. Our server was very cold and dry with us. I don't even remember her name she was that bad. We had the Tuna Poke (boring and lacked flavor) Rainbow Roll (not too bad) and the Pomme Frites (putting fried eggs on top? Pointless). The olive bread was probably my favorite part of the meal. Entries: Duck, Grouper, Churrasco, and Veal cheeks Grouper. steak was over cooked when asked for it medium and my father substituted a vegetable for potatoes but didn't get them. At that point our waitress disappeared and we were taken care of by a server named Brent. He redeemed the bad service and made the rest of the night enjoyable. Did not receive any bday dessert."

  • "Food was not great and menu a bit boring. Sushi bar had ONLY white rice , no creativity. Lighting was to bright as if it was lunch time adding no ambience to the place. Needs an update."

  • "The food is very good and the price is reasonable. Didn't expect a $21 parking bill though but definitely a 5 star restaurant."

  • "Azul used to be our go-to spot for special occasions -- a beautiful view, sophisticated ambiance, and innovative menu. The menu is now ordinary, and completely unimaginative. The ambiance is that of an expensive hotel dining room, but not a place one would eat if one was not staying at the hotel -- stale, perfunctory, poorly planned layout, horribly intrusive mindless music, uninteresting food or wine list. We won't be back."

  • "I picked Azul for our anniversary dinner because of our great dining experiences there, dating back from the Michelle Bernstein days, to recent dinners we've had there as recently as six months ago. Unfortunately, something has changed at Azul and it is no longer the quality restaurant that it once was. From slow, confused, and very mediocre service, to a tasteless tuna poke apetizer, to a not-so-special salmon entree. There are too many good restaurants in Miami for us to bother going back."
