AzizaWonderful experience!Aziza was amazing. The food was fantastic, the service impeccable and the ambience, perfect. I would say the restaraunt is best for a romantic night out, or the celebration of a special occasion. The cocktails were amazing!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Dining Experience EverThis place is my all time favorite. The chef is a genius and artist blended into one! The coktails are just delicious, don't miss a try. Food was tasty, the duck pastilla was near to perfection and the "couscous" a delicate fusion of spices.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMReally nice little restaurant.Really nice little restaurant. Friendly staff and the place has a nice vibe. The duck confit wrapped in filo dough is crazy good! The entrees we ordered didn't have a lot of Moroccan flavors, but they were really well prepared (duck with smoked potatoes; lamb loin). A lot of interesting things on the menu that definitely will bring me back.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful place to celebrate.I took work friends to Aziza for one of ladies' birthday celebration and we had good time with delicious food and very friendly services in a beautifully decorated dining room. Morracan food, but at a whole different level.
We can only desribe the food and seasoning as sublime.
The more tradtional the dish - thuogh - the less interesting.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat restaurant, excellentgreat restaurant, excellent food, exceptional food service. valet is reasonable at $10, however, having to get your own car after eating, rather than valet bring your car to you seems a little different than typical.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique and inventive, exoticUnique and inventive, exotic cocktails, and wonderful offerings.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMTasting Menu is FabulousWe had the tasting menu and it was wonderful! We were delighted to find such fine food and a fresh interpretation of a classic cuisine.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed our meal!We were tourists in San Francisco; Aziza had been recommended. We found the menu unusual and had to ask about items and preparations, but we were very pleased with our choices. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable; the food excellent.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food By an amazing chefI expected the food at Aziza's to be great, instead, the dishes from chef Lahlou were perfect. The combination of ingredients and flavors just fit together so perfectly in every dish. The desert was amazing and the entire experience was all around enjoyable and one for the books. I would go back in a heart beat. Too bad I live in the east coast4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food- very uniqueExcellent food- very unique and great drinks-Very fun and funky- definately recommend4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food, service andFantastic food, service and atmosphere. But ridiculously over-priced, especially given the tiny portion sizes. (I actually finished my entree in 5 or 6 bites.) We are OK with paying too much for great food, but it would be nice not to walk out hungry after spending $100+ on dinner.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMUnusual New MorrocanVery unusual menu, even for an experienced Morrocan eater. The cocktail menu, alone, was worth the trip. The appetizers and entrees were terrific. Will definitely return next time in SF. A fairly long taxi ride from downtown.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAziza at Its BestOur dinner was a birthday celebration with four diners who had muddled drinks and every item on the Taster's Menu. Aziza added three additional treats before acknowledging the b/d girl with a specially prepared dessert. From beginning to ending the pacing between food items was perfect, the ambience allowed conversation without raised voices, and the food presentation was among the very best to be found anywhere. The dining event was a bit pricey, but the flavors and the knowledgeable staff compel our return visit soon.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNo betterOn our list of top 5 SF restaurants. From the cocktails to the deserts, everything is complex and well balanced.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAzizaA great place to go to when you want that romantic atmosphere. The lights are dimmed and the noise level is usually low. Although on the pricey side, the food is very good. Easy to rack up at least $50. Additional seating in the back, which is usually more quiet, great for those intimate convos.
Service is friendly and prompt no matter how busy it is. Very knowledgeable about the menu. Duck basteeya confit is amazing. Takes awhile though.
Recommended to call in or reserve online. Parking is metered so bring change!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMMust-visit restaurant in sanMust-visit restaurant in san francisco. Having visited Morocco admit Asiza's menu and its recipes did not reflect our experience there. But that's okay since the experience of eating at Aziza is unique.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExquisite food and dramaticExquisite food and dramatic presentation. Chef Mourad is a master of food and I love that e chose the avenues in SF to create magic. Every person presenting the food and drink is expertly trained and make your meal special. Still a wonderful dining experience.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible food! Perfect portionIncredible food! Perfect portion size, spices and mixes that were new and interesting! The staff outdid themselves when our taxi that we had been waiting for was stolen by another party! They were very helpful and waited in the street to flag another one. Overall a fantastic experience-Go as fast as you can!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBest meal ever!We had the tasting menu as there were 8 of us, and the chef did not disappoint. You could tell that each dish was lovingly prepared, delicious as well as pleasing to the eye. I especially love one of the desserts that looked like a wreath on the plate. The portions were just perfect as well, we got to taste 9 different things, but we did not feel "stuffed" at the end of it. The wait staff explained what was in each dish as it was served, and they were very attentive. Our evening started with a very friendly greeting from the young lady at the door, and it set the tone for the whole evening. One of my friends commented that it was the best meal she ever remembers having, and I have to second that!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was awesome. WonderfulThe food was awesome. Wonderful rendition of traditional Moroccan foods, using the best of northern California sources. How can the barley under the lamb shank be so incredibly flavorful?3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI THOUGHT THIS RESTAURANTI THOUGHT THIS RESTAURANT WAS AMAZING FROM COCKTAILS, DESSERTS, ENTREES AND FIRST COURSES. MY WIFE AND I LOVED OUR EXPERIENCE.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThe cocktails, thru the tastingThe cocktails, thru the tasting menu, and the goodie bag of granola to take home was as close to perfect a meal I've had in a long time. The tasting menu was great value. The chef is on point with his balance of flavors and methodical with his progression of each course. The pastry chef is in symphony with the chef's orchestra.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMExquisito!Exquisite from the moment we sat down! I would definitely come back to this place! The Food was more french than Moroccan and the decor was very unique (not quite Marrakech) but it sets the mood!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is modern Moroccan food....verThis is modern Moroccan food....very very creative but still mindful of being delicious...had cream of celery root/pear soup that was outstanding....the menu is not so exotic that all will not enjoy. The wine list is very extensive and the waiters are very knowledgeable and most attentive. The ambiance is lovely. Finally, the bar makes all sorts of creative cocktails often muddling various herbs into the mix....they grow many of their own in a little garden out back. Wonderful.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBrilliant MoroccanAn absolutely wonderful meal in a pleasant atmosphere. The servers were very pleasant and efficient, as well as extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The food was magnificently displayed and very flavorful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and hope that I may return soon.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMIt is a dining experienceIt is a dining experience and a feast for the eyes as well as the palate One of the few restaurants in the City where the atmosphere and ambiance are perfectly tuned to the wonderful service and fantastic food. This is an experience to savor.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved Aziza, my only complaintLoved Aziza, my only complaint is the portions are *too big* but maybe that's not such a bad problem. I wanted to go to a fine dining restaurant while on a trip to SF, but I didn't want to intimidate my bf's taste for less fussy food. This satisfied both our styles - really inventive (especially with cocktails: arugula/tumeric, bell pepper, kaffir lime, grapefruit), but everything was still suitable to the average meat-n-taters type. We shared the dips with homemade flatbread and the duck confit b'stiya, a wonderful blend of sweet and savory. I got the lamb loin (perfectly sous vide'd), while my bf got the short ribs (falling apart tender). We shared date cake and a french press for dessert. So enjoyable!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAziza is a great! Every dishAziza is a great! Every dish has layers of flavor. Our service was impeccable-Annie is so professional & a marvel. Soup special was a puree and was poured over the accents at the table-delicious & fun. Lamb shank had a "honey" flavor to it but was roasted balsamic giving the flavor. Dessert came with additional dark chocolate flakes with jellied candy-tiny and exquisite flavors. Go-o-o-o and enjoy.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a fantastic meal andWe had a fantastic meal and dining experience. Not rushed. Beautiful food. Amazing wine and service. And the cocktails - OH MY!!!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNouvelle Moroccan CuisineHad a wonderful dinner at Aziza. We were instantly intrigued by the menu, which simply lists ingredients of each dish, rather than naming the plates (a bit a la Eleven Madison Park). Began the evening with a hand-muddled gin cocktail that took a little long to arrive, but was deliciously worth the wait. All of the dishes were dazzling to the eye as well as the palate--beautifully and artistically plated. We began with the three spreads, shared the beet salad and the cheese plate. My husband's lamb shank was aromatic and perfectly seasoned, my daughter loved her duck confit bisteeya (a favorite dish of hers) and I was delighted by the duck special. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommend this place!3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAziza was a great place toAziza was a great place to spend New Year's Eve. The food was as delicious and well prepared as always, service was perfect, and we had a great time. My favorites are the chicken wing appetizer and the basteeya.
