I am from Phila and have had Indian food in NYC, Phila and London and Azitra honestly has to be one of the best I ever had. I don't even usually write reviews for OT but I couldn't resist a nod to this great restaurant. The grilled chicken appetizer was off the charts. The sauces on the samosas and grilled asst appetizer plate were amazing. When we were there on a Friday night, there was hardly anyone else there. When we arrived, it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop... then when they did play music, it was electronic. No melody and, frankly, a style of music that would make you more nervous than soothed and satisfied. I believe they've created a great menu here. They have great service. But a bit of work on the atmosphere could bring more people back.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMSomething for everybodyWe dined here recently and my vegetarian daughter, her date, various other relatives, my spouse and I enjoyed the special event feel to the restaurant. She received a very special birthday dessert and the menu was very creative. We enjoyed several appetizers and shared several entrees. The desserts were a hit----in house created frozen desserts ! Food was very good and waiter took my limited knowledge of Indian food and selected a perfect meal for me. We absolutely loved the food and service at this restaurant. I was a little worried about the spicyness of Indian food in general and was pleasantly surprised at how the flavors really complimented the spicyness of the food.
