Diner Reviews
  • "Had a great Easter Brunch at Azie. All of the traditional options plus a sushi bar that was terrific. Found out this is a regular occurrence each Sunday. Best kept secret on the Main Line!"

  • "I was more than delighted to see the large spread of Asian Food. The additional carving station was a perfect setting for the Easter Sunday brunch. We were a group of 12 and it was a great find. The food was tasty. The dessert spread was not what I had expected. Pineapple upside down cake was the only grand dish on the dessert spread. The kids would have enjoyed ice cream and toppings. The buffet was well priced and the complimentary Champagne was a good deal for a Sunday brunch. The staff looked tired and mostly uninterested. But considering it was a buffet and we had 3 younger kids at the table, everything seemed perfect. Ask for round tables if you have a large group and when its buffet. Working your way around the tables can be tricky. "

  • "We had a party of eight on a Friday evening. They seated us at our desired time at a nice oval table that was really nice for a group of eight to socialize and enjoy a meal. Service was good but not exceptional. All food items were well prepared and high quality. The bill was reasonable. We especially enjoyed the cabbage wrap appetizer. I ordered the chicken pad Thai which was very tasty and nicely spiced. Several enjoyed dessert too and these were a highlight. All in all a great experience and more comfortable and far easier to park at than the Media location!"

  • "I never even knew this place existed. It's like Budahkan in the suberbs. The food is delicious, the setting is amazing. Definitely work a try. The bar looked awesome too."

  • "We had dinner at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. The noise level was ridiculouly high and we had to change tables. We still had to shout to be heard. Our service was very slow as well as the kitchen. We were starving so we kept asking for bread. They didn't have any. It took over an hour to receive our entrees, and mine was served burned to a crisp. The manager apologized at least. Will never go back."

  • "We came for brunch. Sort of a mix of Asian and standard American. Thought that the sushi and the rolls were outstanding. The American fare was sort of standard, nothing special. The desserts were all overly sweet and I didn't like any of them. However, for the price, I think this place is fantastic for a Sunday brunch...not having to do dishes or clean up!"

  • "We had good experience in December. We went back just last week and found the price has increased by 15%. We had Sunday Buffet both times. While all selections taste good, they were the same selections. I would go more often if the menu changes periodically."

  • "Azie on Main is seemingly a great place for a lunch meeting. They have great combination lunch specials, a gluten-free menu, and plenty of space to dine with a group. However, our group found it nearly impossible to hear each other thanks to very loud vacuuming or carpet cleaning throughout the entirety of our time there. We were seated near the back and separated from the cleaning with only a curtain. I wish that they would have seated us in a quieter area or else waited to do this very loud cleaning when it wasn't the lunch hour."

  • "Great sushi, great ambience in a nice part of town. I expected very high prices and was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the sushi and delicious! I will definitely be back and would recommend it to my friends."

  • "Had a promotional birthday coupon which took us to Azie On Main. Excellent food, service, price, atmosphere. Looking forward to the next visit. The lunch plates for $15 were great."

  • "My husband chose to go to Azie for his birthday lunch. Although perched a bit away from the main road, Azie is quite a big establishment with many tables. As it was a cold day, we were happy to enter a very warm place which after a while became very hot, at least for me. After ordering 2 pieces of sweet potato tempura to start with I was surprised to see 3 pieces of regular potato arrive! When our green tea arrived, our waiter told us ' you'll have to put the tea bag in then the hot water'! Maybe he meant it wasn't ready in the tea pot....I just thought it was a bit peculiar for him to say it that way, as if we had never had tea before! Apart from these little remarks, it was a pleasant lunch and the food was good."

  • "Surpassed my expectations. My bf and I went for 5pm on Saturday. It is great to be early here, even though super quiet. We got lots of attention. Our server Steve was great, very friendly and enjoys his job. We ordered mostly sushi and Everything was great, the soft shell crab was my fav... defiantly do not skip dessert! Guinness choc cake was outstanding...As were the banana beignets. Seriously, get both."

  • "All enjoyed the food, presentation, service, etc. Nice meal with teens and grandparents - all enjoyed the food. Highlights were chicken lettuce wraps, tuna/avacado/citrus appetizer, mushroom dumpling soup. Waitstaff and hosts all excellent."

  • "Azie roll is very, very good. The farthest end of restaurant away from front door is somewhat odd: one large curved bench for one of each two person party. Nothing wrong with it, unless you'd prefer some privacy, in which case you should ask to be seated elsewhere. Very nice decor - nice style, clean and fresh looking. Will go again."

  • "This mainline spot does not have good food quality, however good food quality pricing. All in all we will not visit again."

  • "I love the way the tables are set up so that you can feel intimate even in a large restaurant with lots of people. The food was great. The Fois Gras sushi is amazing! Our server was very attentive. Food was served timely. Great dining experience. We will be back."

  • "The restaurant is nice enough inside...with very friendly hostesses....but that is where the positive ends. I ordered a salad with dressing on the side. The salad arrived DROWNING in dressing, and with only Iceberg lettuce of all things! Who serves Iceberg unless it is a Wedge salad?? The waitress never returned to ask how we were doing until we were almost finished...so I ate the salad, trying to drain off as much of the overpowering dressing as possible...then, still searching for a plus, I ordered a cappuccino...the most watered down version ever. With all the wonderful restaurants in the area....I am amazed that Azie is still open. It will be my last visit."

  • "This is one outstanding brunch at an outstanding price. If you are a traditional breakfast fan and a sushi fan, and a contemporary American cuisine fan you have found nirvana"

  • "I generally don't write detailed reviews but Azie deserves one -- it is very good. First of all, the interior is very nice and comfortable (although spacing the tables a bit further apart would be a suggestion). We started with the pork dumplings and the mushroom dumpling soup -- only one word needed - "awesome!!" My wife ordered sushi and salad and I ordered kobe beef fried rice as main dishes - everything was perfect .. did not leave a crumb! Server was very attentive but not intrusive. Wine by the glass was reasonably priced. A great restaurant - hope it has a long and successful life on the Main Line!"

  • "Three of us ordered the Miso Sea Bass. All three entrees arrived luke warm. I ordered mine with sweet potato fries instead of mashed potatoes. The sweet potato fries were served underneath my fish, drenched in miso sauce. The sweet potato fries should have been served on the side, so that they would be crunchy and not covered with the sweet miso sauce. The miso sauce ruined the fries. Sushi was fine. The dinner menu on line lists halibut; in the restaurant halibut is not available."

  • "Overall I would rate the food a solid 7 or 8. The fois gras sushi was beautifully presented and delicious. The Tuna crunch roll was moderately good. The new philly roll, although very creative, was mediocre because the meat was soggy and cold, the shrimp tempura nonexistent, and the cheese sauce overpowering. For dessert we ordered the banana beignets which were good but not outstanding, and the guinness chocolate cake which was nothing to write home about. However, the person who I dined with loved their clam chowder and tuna. I also had a lychee martini which was very good. The ambiance and decor are modern, hip, and comfortable. I would recommend this restaurant to others."

  • "We had a 7'pm reservation New Years Eve and were seated promptly. Great service, and food was terrific as usual. the tuna tar tar appetizer is one of the best tuna tar tars anywhere. I'd highly recommend !"

  • "Azie on Main was a really nice restaurant, great food and excellent service. The only problem I had with the restaurant was finding the entrance. Its in the back of the building, up a hill and if you miss the sign you are most certainly left confused. As an out-of-towner it was a little frustrating to get to but I really enjoyed the experience and would dine there again."

  • "This is the 2nd time we've eaten at Azie on Main and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant can be very noisy, but they happily seat us in a more secluded area. It was quite cold this time, but they provided us with a space heater which helped tremendously. My spouse loved the chicken sate and enjoyed his chicken terryaki dinner and I really like the beet salad and enjoyed the seafood sizzling plate that had enough seafood and vegetables for dinner and my lunch the next day! The restaurant may not be visible from Lancaster Ave., but it's worth looking for and offers a good value."

  • "But not special for the price. The sushi is fresh but the rolls are very "heavy"- covered in too much sauce and too many fried rolls. The sea bass was good but super sweet. The crab spring rolls were like a dessert. The meringue on the chocolate fondue plate was totally stale. All in all, fine but not worth the $60 pp price, (with no alcohol)"

  • "Brunch had good food but horrible service. The $20 per person price supposedly included mimosa or champagne and neither time I had brunch here was it offered. Coffee refills also not offered. Hope it wasn't because we were 2 women but doubt since similar service when I was with males and females on prior visit. Buffet was good but placement of plates unusual and all desserts had chocolate. Met here because it is halfway between guests. Many other options have better service."

  • "My party of 5 sampled an array of dishes and each was special. I particularly loved the Pad Thai. We sat in a back room which I will admit is much quieter than the main room. Service was attentive and well timed."

  • "Azie on Main, although far from where I live, is one of the best Japanese fusion restaurants I've ever been to. The decor is organic, using natural elements to create a relaxing ambiance, and striking in its simplicity. Lunch specials are outstanding and generously sized, starting with the most delicious miso soup I have ever eaten. Prices are comparable to other fine restaurants in the area. A word of caution: you must drive up a hill behind the office complex to get to the restaurant."

  • "The food here is great! The sushi is a little commercial and more pricey but it's very good! The salads are delicious! This is a great place to order salads appetizers and sushi and everyone can share. Just don't be surprised when the bill comes!"

  • "We were seated and a waiter took our drink order. Then another waiter brought our drinks to us and said "sorry for the confusion, I will be your waiter. ( we didn't know there was confusion until he said something). Then a third waiter took our food order. Once we had our food none of the waiters came back to see how we were doing and get our drinks refilled. My husband finally put our drink glasses upside down on the table to get their attention. Finally a fourth waiter came over and asked us if we needed anything. At that point we just wanted our check so we could leave. The food was mediocre. There are large letters on front of building but the entrance is around the back of the building. If you go, be sure to park in the back."
