The interior of the restaurant is classy and elegant, with moody lighting. We were seated right away, so didn't get a chance to enjoy the bar. We tried the mussels appetizer, more than enough for a full meal, spicy and delicious! The presentation of the food seems to be a rustic style, earthy and direct. Portions are generous, and prices are reasonable for an upscale dining experience. Not a fancy place and we were slightly overdressed but no matter. The first great thing to happen...the host changed the napkins from white to black so that my black dress would not get linty. An appreciated gesture and one that I've never been offered before. Our server, Katie, was very attentive and the prime rib was excellent, as were the sides. We added a house and Ceasar salad; both beautiful, generous and delicious. Happy hour runs until 7 and the house Chardonnay was quite good and affordable. I was in your city to visit my son who lives aroud the corner from you on Pearl St. I told hoim to find a place of my taste, which he is well aware of to met my friend & chose yours which was perfect!Booking on line was another positive!The wait person was great,as he did not hover over our table, was there & then gone. We celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant, and were extremely pleased. Our waiter, Kennedy, was outstanding - very friendly and attentive; we were really disappointed when he had to leave due to an emergency, however, the staff filled in and the smoothness by which they completed his shift were outstanding.
