We were seated in the small room beyond the kitchen - 4 tables for two, one table for 6. The patrons at the large table were so loud, my husband and I couldn't hear each other. Other couples in the room had the same problem. We spoke to the waitress and the hostess, as did one of the other tables, but were offered absolutely no help. We were told there were no other tables available and that the offending party, while admittedly loud, were not actually doing anything wrong. I asked to speak with the manager, but the hostess wouldn't oblige. We were offered nothing - drink, dessert on the house perhaps - to mitigate an expensive but very unenjoyable evening. We definitely will not be back.

Food was very authentic Italian - each dish having excellent flavors of their own. We were seated near the Chef's table, which is an experience that I will seek in the future. This is a great find restaurant that is molto bene!

If I could give Avellino six stars, I'd give it seven. The gnocchi was light and pillowy (rare for a gnocchi), the fonduta was exceptional, the clam chowder was delicious, and Chef Rico game out to have us try a wonderful pizzeta he was trying out. A perfect meal was capped off with dessert. We will be back, no doubt about it!

Twice to this restaurant and spent close to three hours each time dining. Will go again. Pricey for the area (drinks), but the food is above average. I suggest splitting any of the salads before your main course. We had three different ones and they were all good. Some appetizers are excellent as entree's. The food portions are generally large enough to split or plan on taking them home. They have good bread and olive oil which is great with wine. Good trendy martini's too. They have a nice bar to have a before dinner drink. With reservations, you don't have to wait to get in. I have not given five stars to any restaurant in 20 years and most people don't know what five stars means, so a four star rating from me is really good. Try them.

Great food and service overall. The staff was very attentive and came only when appropriate. The appetizers were excellent as was the salad. The main courses were well prepared but not exceptional. The desserts and coffees were the best part of the meal with generous portions and exquisite taste.

This was a first visit. Booking was easy via Open Table, but, if you want to participate in the "Chef's Table" you must call the restaurant directly. My mistake. However - we did not receive 2nd best - Chef Rob served us excellent cuisine, Anne (Hostess/Waitress) was knowledgeable of the wine list and of everything on the menu. Outstanding food & service, and the ambiance is comfortable. Don't miss trying Avellino's of Sturbridge. Susan

This is the 2nd time we've had dinner there and it was very good. Jill was our waitress who was great. Love the Calamari app. I had the chicken parm, which was hugh and good. Very nice to have some variety finally in the area. Love the duck also, the prices are more modest and the food is also very good

It was our first time at Avellino's and we were a little disappointed. We had heard very good things about this place. The fod was very good and we had no compliants at all with the quality and presentation of the food. The service was much to slow. It took our waitress over 30 minutes to bring us bread and take our order. I think we would give it one more try just because the food was so good.

Some serious flaws in service. We waited for 30 minutes between getting our cocktails and having our food order taken. Our server seemed to forget about our group of 3 but not the large party at another table. The food was good but not spectacular. We've been to The Duck several times and felt like we had better service in a pub atmosphere. The noise level was high in the front dining room, not very relaxing. We were disappointed with the overall experience.

Every dish we had was superb. Chef Rico doesn't spare the spices and creates some wonderful, imaginative combinations. This may well have been the best veal marsala I've ever had. Ditto for my husband's gnocchi bolognese. Every dish seemed to have a new twist. Every part of our meal was exceptional. We were delighted when Chef Rico stopped by our table and brought us a special dessert that he was "just playing with in the kitchen."

Having been a patron of the old establishment, we were anxious to try the food and found ourselves not disappointed at all. Started the meal off with an appetizer of calamari in a red sauce. The peppers in three sauce was not overpowering and the calamari was very easy to ear and cooked perfectly. Shortly after my main course of Veal Marsala arrived. The veal cut itself was large, thick, buy hand pounded which to my surprise made out very . The sauce was great with the exception of a heavy amount of parmesan cheese which was not needed but added a little bit of flare. We then split a serving of bread pudding and left viewing to return soon.

As I stated on their Facebook page, we dined at Avellino on the Chef's Table option. 34.95 per person got you a 4 course meal that left you fully satisfied and stuffed. If you're adventurous and can leave your food up to Chef Rico you will love the dishes he prepares and explains to you. Lovely romantic dinner but would be very fun in a group as well.

Avellino was only open for a few days when we went for dinner. The resaurant is loud, the acoustics are not great-maybe not a good choice for a romantic dinner on a weekend. But the food was great. The sauce was amazing, the salad was just right. The wine list was had several reasonable good options. I will definately go back, I cannot wait to try other items on the menu.

What a change from the old restaurant here! Totally revamped, much more casual (not shorts casual) and a great menu. We were really impressed with the menu, food quality, and service. The timing was also just perfect, I dont want my first course 30 seconds after I order it. We like Rovezzi's but the prices have gotten too high for the food ($35 for a filet?). Enrico shook our hands and asked how everything was ans thanked us for trying them out, very classy! Definitely no "start up bugs" here"
