So nice to have another top shelf dining place in Steamboat Springs. Great service; good menu, very good food for the price. It was a quiet night so our table had plenty of attention. Will be interesting to see if service is equal during a full house.

even with the 1/2 off entrees, I thought the menu was overpriced! I had the ravioli, and the regular price was $26.00 and at a price of 1/2 off for $13.00 I got 4 pieces of ravioli. The regular price for the burger is $22 and the 1/2 off for $11.00 got you an okay burger with ruffles potato chips. There is no way I would pay the full price for any of the entree items. The Caesar Salad was overdressed & the lettuce was not crispy.

We were just in Steamboat celebrating our anniversary, and ended up at Aurum after a local raved about it. We were astounded. My husband asked me a few times if I was OK, because I had stopped to savor the flavor. After our appetizer, roasted cauliflower, I though about cancelling my entree, and ordering more cauliflower. I was glad I didn't though, because the pork tenderloin was as beautifully presented as it was delicious. I am in my 50s, have traveled a lot, and eat out often. Aurum was one of the best restaurants I have ever dined in. Truly. Nice ambiance, great server, wonderful food and evening.

The presentation was terrific, food combinations were good, good service. Interesting menu. No rush for the dining experience. Food reasonably priced but wine list a little over the top. My food did come out cold but my companions was ok and I did not want to ruin our dining experience by sending it back since we were enjoying ourselves.

We spent our anniversary dinner watching a stunning pink sunset on the river. The fact that the food was delicious and the service outstanding was almost a bonus. Absolutely loved this place! My boyfriend and I visited Steamboat to watch the Aspens change and wanted to have a nice dinner during our visit. We went relatively late on a Monday night (8pm) and were treated extremely well by our female waitress (forgot her name!). We ordered a lovely and affordable bottle of white wine and chose the crab cake can crispy cauliflower appertizers to start. The cauliflower WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD! Seriously I have never had anything like it in my life. I ordered the lamb shank and the boyfriend had the pork. Also to die for! Such a lovely experience and will always recommend to friends and family!

The food was fantastic. The service efficient and friendly, even fun. The ambiance, lovely. The wine list is limited and EXPENSIVE! We all expect the wine mark up. We are wine drinkers, so we know what wine costs. We aren't offended when the mark up is 100%. We get a little uneasy, but still we drink at 200%. This place marks the wine up OVER 400% above liquor store prices. And they aren't buying it at liquor store prices. So if we go again, we will drink a cocktail and call it a day. Which is really too bad because good wine would really enhance this fantastic food.

This is an exceptional restaurant. For dinner, we had an exquisite red pepper tomato soup, lamb shank and duck breast, all in a lovely dining room overlooking the river in downtown Steamboat Springs. Each was prepared and served to perfection. We returned the following day for Happy Hour on the deck, where we enjoyed tasty, reasonably priced humus, squash/shrimp fritters and wine. The bread pudding dessert is to die for. The pumpkin tart was very good but not particularly memorable. Grey Goose martinis were right on, although priced high. This is definitely one of the best restaurants we've encountered since moving to Colorado two years ago.

In the summer eating a delightfully delicious lunch on the deck just a few feet from the Yampa River that flows through Steamboat Springs is hard to beat. Aurum Restaurant's menu has a nice selection for lunch while breakfast items are also available. The breakfast potatoes were different than others and were very good and tasty. The lemon calamari was also memorable as were some salads. Note: Aurum is an excellent spot for dinner too.

Aurum replaces a long standing comfortable family restaurant. Aurum is a smart, stylish restaurant making good use of their location, serving dishes that both look and taste great. As the summer evening chilled, they rolled back the awnings and brought out the heaters which really enhanced our outdoor experience under the stars and besides the rushing river. Our server was warm, friendly and attentive. First rate and first class all around.

Everything about our dining experience at Aurum was fantastic. The service was friendly and attentive but not annoying. The food was wonderful! We had the calamari which was light and served on a bed of arugula. The tomato salad was great. Two of us shared it which was perfect. The filet dinner was a generous portion and so flavorful. The fettucini with summer vegetables was light but the sauce was flavorful. We could not resist the creme du chocolate pot with salted caramel mousse. All 4 of us had to get it since no one was willing to share. It was amazing! We will definitely return the next time we are in Steamboat!

Steamboat Springs surprisingly has some outstanding fine dining restaurants. Aurum has already placed itself in the top 5. A little more fine tuning should allow it to move up a notch or two. The food and wine selections were very good with some unique and tasty items. Food was properly prepared for our party of four except the wonderful cut of pork chop was over cooked. Fortunately, the delicious sauce with it helped cover up the error in cooking. Pricing is high, but about on par with other area fine dining restaurants. The restaurant facility itself is quite attractive and its location on the Yampa River that runs through downtown Steamboat is fabulous for both outside and inside dining. Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Second time for dinner at Aurum. We sat outside. The sun was glaring in our face and the bugs were biting. So next time we will be indoors. There was also a gentleman playing the guitar and singing for a little bit. The speakers could be turned down a bit. It was difficult to talk to people at the table with the music blaring. Could maybe use umbrellas tilted to keep the afternoon sun from baking the customers. The service and the food were excellent! Tried the tenderloin for dinner and the muscles for appetizers. Mouth watering. Always enjoy the great food here.

What's not to love? Sitting along the river with great drinks and tasty appetizers was sublime. We moved on to dinner with a nice bottle of Adelsheim Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley that was a perfect pairing for our salmon. The salmon was perfect with a nice mix of flavor within the fish accented by a sauce with some nice spice. As always the staff was great with just the right amount of personal attention from Lee, Jon and Phil the owner.

A great new addition to Steamboat's dining choices. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Our food was great - the calamari was superb - light and crisp, and the caprese salad was divine. We were eating light that night so had the pasta, which everyone loved, in order to save room for the fantastic desserts. Pretty spot on river, tasteful minimalist decor. We will be in Steamboat for the next month (and back for the winter) and we will definitely return to try more of the menu.
