  • "Every pasta dish we ordered was delicious. Really simple, elevated flavors. Definitely coming back. Service was very attentive."

  • "Had never heard of this place and found it on OpenTable. We had two appetizers and four different dinners. Each dish was well-prepared and the taste was excellent. We had the scallops, bronzini, Bolognese and their special pastas. Tried all four dishes and each one was better than the next. I do recommend. Nice ambience, very good service"

  • "The food was delish-- very interesting menu-- not your typical Italian restaurant. Lots of great fresh veggies, fruit, herbs and original combos! Had seasonal dishes and was delighted! Highly recommend!"

  • "Real Italian feel...good food. Did not like the limited wine by the glass option but that is getting petty. Been a few times, I would recommend."

  • "My husband and I went here for our 1 yr anniversary. The food was excellent and they had an extensive wine list to choose from. Service was very good too."

  • " We came to Aurora for my mom's 80th bday dinner. It came recommended by a friend and everything was perfect! The service, waiter, food and wine were above average. So much freshness and flavor made each meal delicious. Our wine from Northern Italy was complex and complemented everyones dinners. Dessert was just as delicious! I can't wait to go back!"

  • "My family and I had a great time at Aurora on Mother's Day. It was the perfect fit--the ambiance was low-key and cozy. The food was delizioso--the pasta bolognese was fresh and the scallops melted in my mouth. Everyone enjoyed their meals and a great bottle of wine. We will definitely be going back!"

  • "The appetizers were very average, and in fact some were a little tasteless. The main "veal" was pretty good in terms of quality. But for the price, location and reviews I expected much more. I would not go back there again. "

  • "Excellent diner and the Italian specialities are fantastic! Just a remark about the wine, red wines are not always at the good temperature (too warm) and corked... This is the second time this happens to me ..."

  • "Brought my whole family and a guest (party of 6)... simply incredible! From the food (including a superb wine list) to the decoration of the place this is a must for anyone looking for great Italian food around SoHo. Will definitely come back."

  • "The food at Aurora was very good, but our friendly waiter made it a very enjoyable experience. He was forthcoming, friendly & knowledgable. The arancini balls were I think my favorite item that we ordered, though the entrees were very good as well. I appreciated the cocktail list in addition to a wide selection of wines."

  • "Not sure what happened to this Aurora. Once, we used to pick anything off the menu and receive excellence. Now, the gnocchi is soft and mushy, and the sauces flat. What happened?"
    Dined on 4/30/2014
  • "Our entire experience was wonderful. The gnocchi were divine. Wine was excellent. Service was outstanding."

  • "Loved the food and atmosphere here. It was a little loud yet did not interfere with good conversation. Very stylish yet down-to-earth vibe."

  • "overall enjoyable night out. nice ambiance, very attentive service, and some nice innovative twists. everything was excellent quality.., we had the rabbit and the octopuss which was both very tasty with nice add on sauces ,...the ricotta tart was amazing"

  • "This was the best food I have had since visiting Italy! The prosciutto with the burrata cheese was to die for, and the pasta Bolognese melted in your mouth. I will definitely be returning to this gem."

  • "Food was great but the service was pretty spotty. The tables were packed in and it was easy to bump someone when getting to and from your table."

  • "This was my second visit to Aurora. My bf and I had our first date there and we went back for our six month anniversary. The first time everything was lovely and the food was excellent. On our visit this past Saturday night, everything was less so. Service was fair but we never had utensils when our food arrived, except for our first course. The veal meatballs were gristly, the poached egg on my asparagus was also cold, both of our hot pasta dishes were served on cold plates, the affogato was served with cold espresso, and my panna cotta was a little rubbery. Everything was sub-standard, and when there are so many great Italian restaurants in the area, I wouldn't bother to go back to Aurora after this experience."

  • "I really like this spot! I have been twice in the last week. The service is great, wine list is mostly Italian, interesting and broken out regionally with superb advice from the sommelier. The Veal was fantastic. The burratta app is great as well, on and on"
    Dined on 3/10/2014
  • "Great place for a sociable evening meal, excellent service and extremely tasty food. The Veal and the Lamb Chops were the out and out winners. Would recommend and go again"

  • "Had booked another small Italian restaurant in SOHO but on the recommendation of a local she suggested Aurora. Glad she did. Arrived early and had cocktails at the bar and a lovely dinner. Food was very good. Nice selection of Italian wines. Enjoyed everything from the Burrata and Proscuitto appetizer to the Wild Boar over Polenta. Staff was outstanding!!! Would recommend and return without hesitation."

  • "We took my daughter out for her 19th birthday and had a lovely dinner. Loved the ambiance--warm wood, low lighting, interesting objects on the walls. The food was delicious and interesting. I had an appetizer of brussels sprouts and roasted cauliflower which I loved, and chestnut pasta which was good. My daughter had the pasta with a meat sauce, also delicious. I don't remember what everyone else had (there were six of us) but everyone was happy. We had a chocolate dessert which was fantastic. Service was good. Highly recommended."

  • "It was a good choice to have diner at Aurora, the cozy atmosphere and the outstanding service were needed badly after the busy crazy night before, we were at time square for the new year!! The good was ok not as expected but the wine was outstanding. They just need to reduce the lights and to have a Italian songs to complement the atmosphere. It was so quite before people start coming. But for sure I will recommend Aurora to my friends & I can't wait to go back there again"

  • "Great service, excellent menu, good wine list and intense noise but it's worth putting up with. One of the very best restaurants in Soho and non pretentious. High level Italian food at reasonable prices."

  • "My second time at this restaurant and loved it even more than the first visit. Perfect little spot in Soho."

  • "We went for Thanksgiving and although it was a 'set menu' the choices were still plentiful. The food was not boring at all, very creative and tasty. Not the usual Italian place. The wine list is extensive although a little bit pricey - we landed on an $80 bottle which was good enough but would've like to have some more options a little friendlier on my wallet. Enjoyed the atmosphere, its cosy and the service was pleasant. I still don't understand why restaurants put 2 people RIGHT next to another 2 people when there is ample space around. Its not only Aurora but a NYC wide thing. I wish they would STOP doing that - especially when we have taken the time to reserve a table. Its not like we are a walk in."
