Aura Waterfront Restaurant + PatioMost Pleasant SurpriseI have to admit, I knew nothing about this restaurant when I made a reservation. I had won a gift card and wanted to take my partner out for a meal. From walking through the door, the service was wonderful. Not just attentive, but friendly, lighthearted, knowledgeable, conversational. The food was very impressive. Nothing crazy, just delicious, well presented dishes. The restaurant is lovely and the view was so nice. The portions were the right size served hot and flavourful. The real treat of the meal was the cheese plate which I would highly recommend. We have not be to the laurel point inn for brunch in several years. Surprised it had changed hands and Aura has taken over and reestablished what was once the best brunch in Victoria. Me Mum and I had a fantastic brunch the food was fresh and excellently presented and prepared. Service staff was very helpful from Management on down. Beautiful view, very friendly, knowledgable staff, timely service, food was great. The only downfall was the dessert list. It was lacking in the "classics".
