We really enjoyed the well presented, delicious plates as well as a great Italian wine recommended by our server. Sadly, our great experience ended poorly when we were ignored at the end of our meal for 20 minutes, even though we were the only table in the restaurant. We would return, though, based on the quality of the food.

Limited menu options and if you are not adventursome with your food choices you might have trouble finding something suitable to order. Can't order just a simple steak here. Not sure what you would do if you had kids with you. However, what we did order was good, but not spectacular for the price. I would still go back as we were there in very low season so perhaps things are different when more people are around.

We were quite lucky to be seated in an area we had all to ourselves, beside a large window. The staff were amazing. Attentive, friendly. Food was fantastic. We had the Chef's six course dinner and it was amazing. Our new favourite spot. Next time we're in Whistler I think we'll try to stay at the Lodge rather than at the Fairmont.

We have dined here before - but something has changed. The service was poor, wine list is limited, and the food was mediocre at best for the price you pay. We have no objection to spending $$$$ but all dishes were over salted, soup was a thick glop of rue and servers appeared to be better suited to cocktail service than full food services. We won't be back. Would also recommend the restaurant consider moving the chunks of bread at the entrance. These loaves are used for the $4.00 bread basket but we actually saw patrons touch the loaves of bread as they walked in (seeing ifthey were real or decoration - who knows).

A fantastic dining experience! Wonderful food, great service, a view of the lake as the sun set…all of this made for such an enjoyable, romantic anniversary dinner for us. My sablefish was cooked to perfection, as was my husband's duck. Love the focus on local, seasonal food. Truly a memorable experience. We'll be back for sure!

We had arrived at Nita Lake Lodge after an 8 hour transit experience in the rain. We were hungry and tired! They had a four course prefix that was great and presented beautifully. The staff took care of us - and we needed it. The dessert was special. Good wine and beer. We were able to look out over the lake the entire meal.

We had brunch here for my sister's bachelorette weekend and it was lovely. They accommodated our large party and request to be seated outside facing the lake. They service was prompt and attentive. It got a little bit chilly and they were quick to provide all our guests blankets. Our server was kind and thoughtful to give my sister a complimentary mimosa to celebrate the occasion.

We had a very enjoyable meal. The view is great, however it wasn't as much of a dining "experience" as we have had at some other places. I would certainly go back for a casual meal or lunch but might chose another place for a special occasion experience as this was a bit more casual then I expected.

We had two dining experiences at Aura over this past weekend. A breakfast and dinner, both were exceptional!! As someone with difficult dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy and eggs) eating out is very difficult. I was shocked and thrilled to see so many options for people with restrictive diets whether its vegetarian, vegan, gluten free...there's options for everyone! And the food is AMAZING!!!! The care and service we received for our anniversary dinner was exceptional, made a special night that much more. I would highly recommend Aura and the Nita Lake Lodge

We recently celebrated a family birthday at Aura - there were 11 of us (including 3 children). The experience was everything we had hoped for! The view was spectacular - we were seated in a separate area, allowing the children a little more freedom and a more relaxing evening for us. The service was excellent, with the various courses nicely spaced over a couple of hours (exactly what we wanted!)! The menu selection offered a variety of outstanding choices for every taste. Between us, we tried numerous different items on the menu, and were absolutely wowed by everything! I had asked for a birthday cake, and Oh My God! It was unanimously the best dessert we have ever had!!!! Thank you Aura!

I went for dinner with 4 friends on Saturday night and though the food was pretty good, the service in both the lounge and the restaurant were unbelievably slow. We arrived for a drink at 8, had a dinner reservation at 8:30, but didn't get out of there until almost midnight. The place was not busy.

Our ahi tuna was superb, but difficult to cut and eat. The celeriac ravioli was outstanding, but rich. The sable fish is to die for and perfectly cooked. The "prime beef" was a thinly sliced and tasty, but sinewy and chewy...not what we expected. The sorrel sorbet with raspberry meringue is not worth ordering! Exceptional service and views made the price much more tolerable.

Compliments to the Chef Paul Moran and his team at Aura! We had a sublime 5-course dinner, easily one of the Top 5 we ever had - and we've eaten in quite a few well-respected restaurants in North America and Europe. Tuna tostada and celeriac ravioli were absolutely unforgettable, and chocolate banana hazelnut tart is sensational! We shall be back... P.S. Very creative selection of drinks served at the lounge; Drunk Monk, a chartreuse cocktail is a treat!

Our food was just delightful, creatively prepared and presented. Our search for excellent food, ambiance AND a restaurant to accommodate the tastes our family (2 Vegans and 2 Meat Eaters), ended when we dined at Aura. The service was impeccable and the manager, Stephanie, visited all the tables to make sure everything was to their liking while the chef came out to carve his special salt beets at our table. The Steak Tartare, Gnochi and fish were fabulous AND the Vegans were delighted to have a HEARTY and tasteful selection of English Pea Soup, Kale Chia Salad and Vegan Raviolis. We all ended with the homemade sorbets!

The choice to have Aura's five course dinner was the best decision. This way, we could try many flavors. Every dish topped the next and I didn't want to stop tasting. The gnocchi was my absolute favorite. Multidimensional flavors, complemented each other. Superb. Hands down, the best meal I've ever had. Thank you for making our dining experience unforgettable.

We visited this location because of the deal $30 for 3 course which most of us choose to get. The food was flavorful and very nicely plated. Service was a bit slower (we spent 2.5hrs eating). It might be because of our large group (7 people). I did like the fact that the had several servers come out with all our food at the same time. It was a nice touch. My fiancee didn't want dessert so he opt out of the 3 for $30 deal and got a appetizer and and a regular size steak (6oz) instead. We quickly found out that the appetizers were the same size and the entrees were slightly smaller. Unfortunately it seemed that he had chosen to pay an additional $12 more for 2oz steak and no dessert.

Food is good, but a notch below the standard of some similarly priced Whistler restaurants. The wine list is short and unimaginative, and our waiters knowledge of the short wine list appeared to be lacking. For my tastes some work on the wine list would go a long way. Service was attentive, and the cocktails were tasty. Good atmosphere, we had a lovely dinner with the family.

When did restaurants stop viewing Valentines day as a time to go over the top and really create a special atmosphere for their guests. Instead they now use it as an excuse to jack up their prices and mass produce average food. Our bill with tip for 2 people was $330!! We have been to every restaurant in Whistler on numerous occasions. Aura was last on our list and we were very excited to eat there. We were hoping to order off the regular menu but were told we must choose from the set menu. ( the table beside us was eating off the regular menu??) ....cont

We came here as we were looking for a well-priced fine dining experience in Whistler. We were staying in creekside, so figured this was a walkable option. As we arrived, we were informed that it was a busy night, though later found out that the restaurant wasn't actually full. I imagine that this season had been low and the particular evening we attended was uncharacteristically busy. Overall the food and flavours were great, but the execution was not fantastic (8/10 for execution), and that's where the meal faltered. If we had paid closer to fine dining prices (~$40 per main) we'd have been upset, but I think since it was not, we were quite satisfied. Nice beer selection and decent cocktails.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Aura recently and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, food selection, drinks, and overall dining. Our only disappointment was the extremely slow service. On several occasions throughout our 2.5 hour stay we waited for 10+ minutes while watching the servers chat away with other tables. And, while we appreciated the privacy, it got a little silly that we had to wait, for example, for almost 15 minutes for our bill to be brought to us. But, I don't want to harp too much on that as the food (I had the delicious short rib mac n cheese for an appie followed by the scallops and then the mouth watering brownie for dessert) and atmosphere were outstanding.
