Aubriana's Fine DiningAlways a treatAubriana's is always a wonder treat and is truely one of Wilmington's downtown treats for dining. The menu is varied, fresh and uses local producers. I love that Aubriana's is growing and using their own herbs and hope they expand on that theme as much as possible. Wonderful dining whether you are one or a group of six; it is a treat and the service is excellent.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!Delicious food, great ambience and spectacular service. Will definitely be going again!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMtop-tier downtown diningAubriana's has been around a while, which is no mean feat in the downtown restaurant game . But with the closing of Marc's on Market, his sous chef (and really in many ways co-chef) Tyson Amick is now he's Aubriana's Exec Chef, and that's a wonderful thing. The ambiance is what you want downtown--exposed brick, high ceilings, dim lighting, patio dining available--and the food is reminiscent of Marc's--fresh, seasonal ingredients, local sourcing, straightforward flavors in creative but not outlandish combinations, a wine list with some thought put into it, nice desserts with a good selection of your favorite after-dinner sip. Especially considering the recent closing of Deluxe, Aubriana's is a necessity down there.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, service and atmosphere. The foie gras was perfect. The apple chutney was the perfect accompaniment to the it. The Lamb Chop "lollipops" were so tender and full of flavor my wife wanted to order more and skip her entree. But the Rainbow Trout made her glad she did not make that change. The duck confit has a great flavor profile - pureed wsweet potatoes, garlicky brussel sprount and two thigh and legs of duck. My wife's sister had the lump crab/lobster cakes and was blown away. Her first time eating either Blue Crab or cold water lobster and she was impressed. Desserts were great and change daily/weekly.
Relax outside with a great bottle of wine and an amazing meal. We will be back.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMVery delicious and local foodThe food was very good to excellent. The shrimp & crab corn chowder was the best I've ever had, & the spinach salad was perfect. The food is mostly obtained locally & of very high quality. I thought the roasted chicken was delicious. The side mac 'n cheese with cauliflower was a miss - rather bland. Good wine list. Very small beer selection. Our server was excellent. We sat inside. The noise level (loud music) would be a problem for more than 2 people trying to converse. I think the restaurant could lower the volume without losing whatever background effect they're trying to create. The outdoor patio would be nice to try if the weather and bugs aren't a problem.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMmother's day brunchI want to tell you about my best Mother's Day Bruch ever!! The items on the menu were so delicious!!! My only complaint is that they only have brunch on Mother's and Father's day. WE LOVE AUBRIANNAS.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AM"Nice ambiance and good food"Hank was our waiter and is an asset to this establishment ; the service was excellent. Our party of four ordered steaks and chops and were served perfectly done, no complaints. The restaurant is airy and ecclectic and I will definitely return again.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPricey but goodI still can't get over $26 chicken no matter who raised it but that's another story. Surprised that both smoking and dogs were allowed on patio dining; that definately took away from the entire experience. Their shrimp & grits special was as good as it gets. Very good service; Morgan was a sweetheart. $20 corkage fee was about right.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AManniversary dinnerWe had reviewed the menu ahead of going to Aubriana's...and expected a very nice dinner. However, the experience exceeded our expectations. Our service was excellent...and the food was creative and well executed. We travel and eat out a lot...and are not often as impressed as we were with this experience. We chose to eat outside, and were fortunate to have great weather to enjoy. The outdoor tables and chairs are casual (the interior of the restaurant is more upscale), but the food was anything but casual.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMPromMy prom date and I attended with another couple and we had the best food we've ever tasted! The service was great and the food was put of this world. Will definitely be going back for any special occasion! My new favorite restaurant!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreatThe food was excellent. With a group of 4 we all had different appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Sampled them all and everything was excellent. The Lamp lollipops and the filet were exceptional. The chicken and the short ribs were great as well. All of the desserts were unique, tasted great and had a great presentation.
The service was not bad but a little lacking that is the only reason I did not rate this experience 5 stars.
Will deffinately go to Aubriana's again!!!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMHungry MenWhile I was satisfied with my portion of food, my husband needed more. His filet was tiny, and the sides of potatoes and asparagus were minimal. We shared bread and two apps, but my man was not satisfied when we left.
Our server, an older gentleman named Hank, was good, but we waited entirely too long for fresh drinks. I would be more forgiving of this had I not watched him bus a table then reset it very slowly while I waited with an empty glass. Two actually, my cocktail and my water glasses. He was nice, but I expect much better service in a finer dining establishment.
On a more positive note, we loved the lambchop lollipops! Be sure not to miss out on them!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMOur second trip to Aubriana'sOur second trip to Aubriana's in 2 months and am looking forward to another evening of dining there.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMNice ambiance, good selectionNice ambiance, good selection of entrees, excellent service, pleasant experiance.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMVery NiceGreat place to have a nice dinner in downtown Wilmington. Fantastic old building. Great service. Decent wine selection. It is a little pricy. If you go whole hog (appetizer, salad, entree, bottle of wine and dessert) then prepare for a ~$200 bill at the end (3 - 4 people).
Yelp has this place listed as casual attire which was surprising to me. I would classify this place as hipster casual. Blue jeans with a jacket kind of place. Dress up if you want. Show up in shorts if you must.
If you are use to high end steak houses then I would recommend getting something else. The filet mignon was cook perfectly but was very small. For $30 bucks I would have expected it to be larger and more seasoned. Still, I would highly recommen4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Lamb cutlets. On theAmazing Lamb cutlets. On the menus as Lamb Lollypops. A must for anyone eating there!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a fine experience atAlways a fine experience at Aubriana's. We had the salmon cakes and the flank steak and both were delicious. We were there on a very busy night and the service was excellent. The courtyard is very nice and we can't wait to eat out there when the weather is warmer. We would definitely recommend Aubriana's.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulously creative new executiveFabulously creative new executive chef -Tyson Amick.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been coming to Aubriana'sWe've been coming to Aubriana's since it's opening and have never had a bad experience. The staff is very friendly but professional and the new chef is keeping in following with Aubriana's previous menu of fine food. We are looking forward to what new dishes he will bring to our restaurant experience there!2/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
