A word from Aubriana's Fine Dining
Aubriana"s is a unique and exciting restaurant whose melting pot American dishes, such as blackened lamb lollipops featuring mouthwatering tender lamb cut off the rack and served with a delcious jalepeno mint gastrique, are sure to keep even the most refined appetites satiated. Other popular dishes include Chef Alexander's Sunburst Mahi directly from our coast's waters and the Veal Chop Saltimboca, which has garnered such praise as the best cut of meat in town.

We pride ourselves in the fact that all of our sauces and deserts are made to order. Among the Chef's specialty desserts, look for limoncello sorbet, volcano island cake, and the unrivaled double chocolate peanut butter pie. Expect to spend $17 to $30 for dinner.

Had dinner their with three other guest. The food was very good. Each of us had a different meal and all of us were very happy with both the quality of the food and the service. Aubriana's may become our new favorite Wilmington eatery.

We have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the atmosphere, service and creative entrees. However, this meal was disappointing. I had the chicken dish, which was bland. Roasted brussels were fantastic! My husband ordered the seafood paella special. The presentation was incredible. However, the dish was salty and too spicy. You couldn't taste anything without consuming large amounts of water. In the end I cut up my bland chicken and added it to the paella to even things out! Everyone has an off nite. I'm sure we will have better luck next time.

We found Aubriana's when we were looking at houses to move here. The food is excellent as is the staff! Ask for Hank. He's a great waiter. It is pricier than other restaurants in town but worth it! Definitely recommend it!

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Aubriana's on Saturday night. I ordered the shrimp tagliatelle but received the shrimp pasta special instead. It was good. The shrimp were nicely cooked and tasty. My husband ordered the shrimp and lobster cakes. The were okay, but not good enough for the price. They were small, about three inches in diameter. We could not detect any lobster flavor. They seemed slightly fishy. The waiter seemed indifferent. We had to ask for the bread basket. Enjoyed the bar. The bar maid was personable and attentive. The drinks were good. I might go back to try Aubriana's again as my friends have always spoken highly of the restaurant. But for the price we were not impressed.

Creative menu and good service. Big wine list. I would have liked a few more craft beer choices, especially more local from the Wilmington area. The French onion soup special was earthy, though a little strong on the beef broth. The ribeye was fantastic. My wife had the scallops and thought they were good, but not enough for the money. She was still hungry, so I shared some of the ribeye. I guess there's always a difficult balance for restaurants between creativity and quantity.

There were four in our party and everyone had a delicious meal except me. I had the lobster and crab cakes. They were just OK, but disappointing for the cost. Everyone agreed the wine however was delicious. Great selection. The service and ambiance was great also. I'd like to see a larger salad or soup that I can order and go with friends and enjoy the atmosphere and wine while they dine on your entrees. I expect more of a spectacular meal for $30.

This was our first visit to Wilmington and we were so pleased when we found Aubriana's. The menu was so inviting - I don't recall having such a difficult time selecting an entree. Every offering looked so good! My husband had the Black Grouper and it was perfectly cooked. Delicious. I selected the Diver Scallops. The presentation was gorgeous - and the taste was superb! The craft cocktail menu was first rate. We would definitely go back to AUbriana's on a regular basis.

Menu offers creative interpretations on dishes that appear more boringly presented on many other restaurant menus, e.g. the benne seed treatment of fried calamari, and the Chinese-influenced saucing and accompaniments for pork belly. It also offers ingredients not usually seen on restaurant menus hereabouts such as the frogs' legs done with a spicy "Buffalo" sauce. All very well executed. Warmly attractive dining space.

Friends have recommended that we try Aubriana's, but this was the first time we were able. Pleased with the entire experience from the reservation and throughout the meal. Staff is wonderfully congenial and efficient. Wine list is extensive and fun. Dinner was beautiful and perfectly done and served. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had dinner there on a whim. We had the truffle risotto appetizer. The risotto had a bit much going on for our taste with very strong flavors: truffle, parmesan, onion, and brussel sprouts. All strong ingredients that combined to give my wife indigestion later, and she only had a few bites. Of course, I ate about half and was fine, but did not care for the dish. My ribeye was very lean and looked nothing like most ribeyes I have eaten with no visible marbling; nothing else was remarkable about it. My wife's salad was not remarkable by any means either. Beautifully set decor and interior. Kudos to the designer. The restaurant's acoustics are very loud. Overall, not worth the price, and I will not return.

We had a great meal on 8/20/14. We arrived a bit early, but they sat us immediately. Our server had a great local beer recommendation. The spinach salad was fresh and delicious. The pork tenderloin was fantastic, and the creamed corn that it was served over was a terrific side that almost tasted like grits. I would go back again just for the creamed corn! The meal was finished off with a serving of the sea salt and caramel gelato made there at the restaurant. It was a recommendation from our server again, and is possibly the best gelato or ice cream I have ever had. The gelato did not appear as a freestanding dessert option, but they accomodated my request. I can't wait to go back.

Given all the hype, we expected much, much more. Ambitious kitchen, striving for differentiation, underachieves. Apps: soggy (NOT crispy) frog's legs came out swimming in vaguely Asian, orange glop. Tiny tasty cubes of pork belly arrived in a catcher's mitt sized steam buns that, if you wanted to taste the pork belly, had to be tossed aside. Entrees: pork tenderloin was cooked to juiceless hockey pucks. Carbonara overwhelmed by smoke, smoky pancetta, glop: hard to separate strands of pasta, it all came off plate in one forkful. "Pekin duck a l'orange" was another sweet, goopy failure. The ribeye was okay, but it's difficult to screw up a decent piece of meat. The coconut cake desert was delicious, but coffee was undrinkable. Honestly.

Appetizers, main course and dessert were delicious, but we had to wait an hour after being seated for our entree to arrive. Server could have been more attentive. Asked for coffee with dessert. First cup was served at room temperature. When I asked for the coffee to be warmed up, the hot coffee tasted less than fresh, like it had sat in the pot for a while. The coffee must have been waiting to be served while we were waiting for our entree. But, the food was delicious and the atmosphere is great, so overall - 4 stars.

The food was mediocre at best. They were out of entrees by the 8pm seating and were not flexible with food allergies. The lamb stew was lamb chops and the trout did not look as described in the menu. The carrot cake was dry. We could taste the nitrogen on the gelato giving it a metallic taste. Throughout dinner, the air condition vent condensation was dripping on us.
