A word from Aubriana's Fine Dining
Aubriana"s is a unique and exciting restaurant whose melting pot American dishes, such as blackened lamb lollipops featuring mouthwatering tender lamb cut off the rack and served with a delcious jalepeno mint gastrique, are sure to keep even the most refined appetites satiated. Other popular dishes include Chef Alexander's Sunburst Mahi directly from our coast's waters and the Veal Chop Saltimboca, which has garnered such praise as the best cut of meat in town.

We pride ourselves in the fact that all of our sauces and deserts are made to order. Among the Chef's specialty desserts, look for limoncello sorbet, volcano island cake, and the unrivaled double chocolate peanut butter pie. Expect to spend $17 to $30 for dinner.

Diner Reviews
  • "We had a great meal on 8/20/14. We arrived a bit early, but they sat us immediately. Our server had a great local beer recommendation. The spinach salad was fresh and delicious. The pork tenderloin was fantastic, and the creamed corn that it was served over was a terrific side that almost tasted like grits. I would go back again just for the creamed corn! The meal was finished off with a serving of the sea salt and caramel gelato made there at the restaurant. It was a recommendation from our server again, and is possibly the best gelato or ice cream I have ever had. The gelato did not appear as a freestanding dessert option, but they accomodated my request. I can't wait to go back."

  • "It was the perfect spot and quiet immaculate. Our waiter, Jason, was superb and the food offered was unique. It is typically hard to please a German, but we did it, thanks to Aubriana's!"

  • "The appetizers were delicious and the main was very good as well. Expected something a little "better" based on what people told me, but we still had a nice time. Wait staff was nice, but nothing extraordinary."

  • "We have been a few times over several years, mostly because of the price, we consider it for special occasions. This time was the best!"

  • "Excellent service and food, highly recommend! Scallops and Halibut were cooked to perfection. Good wine selection."

  • "I usually stay 45 miles away on vacation but will drive to Wilmington just to dine here! To me it has the ambiance, good food that never disappoints and superior service! I cannot say enough good things... It is a full dining experience!"

  • "Fantastic supper for wife's birthday. Meal was awesome - bacon wrapped filet for me, halibut for my wife - and they were very accommodating to my 9 year old daughter's picky appetite. Highly recommend and will go back."

  • "Given all the hype, we expected much, much more. Ambitious kitchen, striving for differentiation, underachieves. Apps: soggy (NOT crispy) frog's legs came out swimming in vaguely Asian, orange glop. Tiny tasty cubes of pork belly arrived in a catcher's mitt sized steam buns that, if you wanted to taste the pork belly, had to be tossed aside. Entrees: pork tenderloin was cooked to juiceless hockey pucks. Carbonara overwhelmed by smoke, smoky pancetta, glop: hard to separate strands of pasta, it all came off plate in one forkful. "Pekin duck a l'orange" was another sweet, goopy failure. The ribeye was okay, but it's difficult to screw up a decent piece of meat. The coconut cake desert was delicious, but coffee was undrinkable. Honestly."

  • "My husband & I visited Aubriana's on Saturday evening. Everything from being greeted on entry to our departure was perfect. The food & service is first class. Wine was excellent. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Our new favourite restaurant in Wilmington!"

  • "Went to Aubriana's this weekend in celebration of my 25th birthday, and as usual, they never disappoint! My dish was incredible and cocktails were divine! Thank you so much again for always exceeding my expectations!"

  • "Appetizers, main course and dessert were delicious, but we had to wait an hour after being seated for our entree to arrive. Server could have been more attentive. Asked for coffee with dessert. First cup was served at room temperature. When I asked for the coffee to be warmed up, the hot coffee tasted less than fresh, like it had sat in the pot for a while. The coffee must have been waiting to be served while we were waiting for our entree. But, the food was delicious and the atmosphere is great, so overall - 4 stars."

  • "Great service Hank and great food. The dining is more than something too return for! And the tequila Mockingbird is fabulous! We highly recommend this for dining on a date night with the one you love. Quiet and a great setting on downtown Front St."

  • "Once again Aubrianas delivered a wonderful xperience. Although they have a fabulous wine list, I looked forward to starting out with one of their signature drinks. Service is great as usual. Van't wait to get into Wilmington again to dine here!"

  • "The food was mediocre at best. They were out of entrees by the 8pm seating and were not flexible with food allergies. The lamb stew was lamb chops and the trout did not look as described in the menu. The carrot cake was dry. We could taste the nitrogen on the gelato giving it a metallic taste. Throughout dinner, the air condition vent condensation was dripping on us."

  • "I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Limited menu and food just ok. All 4 of us agreed not to recommend. I don't get why I would be required to check one of the recommendations when I wouldn't recommend the restaurant"

  • "Excellent food, good service, interesting venue. the music in the background was often a genre that was more intense than conducive for a fine dining experience."

  • "This restaurant has some outstanding selections from a limited menue. It is rustic in theme but that works well with the food and wine selection. They are not trying to have something for everyone."

  • "First experience at Aubriana's was everything we heard! Can't wait to return and hopefully Ciana will take great care of us again! Try to get a seat in the window to watch the action on Front Street!!!"

  • "My girlfriend and I just went here on a whim. She had the bacon wrapped filet, and I had the diver scallops. The food was excellent! She could almost cut her filet with a fork. Our server was Hank and he did an excellent job! We will definitely dine here again!"

  • "This was our third Mother"s Day brunch with the family at Aubriana"s. The food was awesome and the service was great! It was our first time eating frog legs. It does taste like chicken. Everything we ate was great. The food is fresh and prepared well. When we want fine dining on a special night we go to Aubriana"s."

  • "The best indication of a great restaurant is that everyone enjoys their menu selection and the taste of everyone else's in the family, and I want to duplicate the meals at home. Aubriana's met both requirements! The brunch menu was varied, outstanding in flavor, and fantastically creative takes on Southern staples. We will be back for dinner on the patio!!!!"

  • "Aubriana's has quickly become my all-time favorite restaurant. They just know how to do things right there, from the ambiance, to the cocktails and cuisine, it's just perfect. I have never been disappointed in anything I've ordered there. I always leave satisfied and feel as though my money was spent wisely. Will be back VERY soon. "

  • "A wonderful restaurant for our 25th anniversary, romantic and ideal location downtown Wilmington. Food was beautifully presented and the wine was excellent. Our waiter could not be more friendly."

  • "Aubriana's has been in existence for 5 or 6 years and we didn't know about this special restaurant. We have been in Wilmington for 15 years and eat out very frequently...my wife closed the home kitchen when I retired. Everything was great, especially Jason, and we look forward to returning to Aubriana's in the near future. Thanks for adding a truly fine dining experience to our personal restaurant guide. P.S., Deserts are ample and delicious. "

  • "I had the special that included, scallops, salmon, polenta, brussel sprout leaves and I am sure other things, but the presentation was unbelievable. It looked like a beach scene including sea foam and a large clam shell. I should have taken a picture, but forgot and was too eager to dive in. Excellent wine selection. Excellent service. This was our first time and will not be our last."

  • "I have passed this restaurant many times without even looking inside. The patrons of the bed and breakfast recommended this so we decided to try. Upon entering I was impressed with the black tablecloths, candles and the exposed brick make this a charming restaurant. I had chicken cooked under a brick with mixed vegetables which was excellent. My husband had salmon which he thoroughly enjoyed. They also have a great wine list. It is a little pricey but worth it. I made reservations so there was no wait and our table was up front with a view of the waterfront. Our waiter was Hank and he was knowledgable of the menu items and very attentive and friendly. "

  • "Our server, Andrew, was excellent---attentive without being intrusive. Our entrees (seared scallops and pork schnitzel) were about average, nothing special. The mussels appetizer is very large---included about 24, and they were better than the entrees. The lamb lollipops had little taste and were extremely rare (we asked for medium rare). The coconut cream cake (a huge slice) was VERY dry and unappetizing. "

  • "Aubriana's is one of our favorite downtown destinations. The quality of the food and service are outstanding. The Caesar's salads were perfect. Their take on Shrimp and Grits is my wife's favorite. The carrot cake with carrot gelato was magnificent. All this and then fireworks on the riverfront afterward!"
