The food was fantastic. Prepare to spend approximately $200 per person for a full experience because the wine and bubbly list runs about 3x higher than retail. Martinis cost about $21 a piece for top-shelf.

We have had a lovely lunch here but always try to have breakfast at least once when we're in town. The beautiful view of the wine country from the back deck is simply not to be missed! They have many wonderful selections but I usually enjoy the basic American Breakfast & it is always delicious! (They also have a lovely hotel though we have never stayed there.) We just can't say enough about their view as well as the food & the service is always dependable & attentive. We can't wait to go back!

This restaurant is spectacular. The food is sophisticated as is the service. It is a 3 or 4-course menu, so be prepared. The views are stunning so get there early, otherwise it's too dark and all you have is the light of the moon. Which is also nice but the point is to see the sunset so book early or book the early bird special :) Worst case, you can kill time with another glass of wine from their comprehensive list. Enjoy!

Food was flavourful and presented beautifully, small but surprisingly satisfying in the end. A beautiful scenic view if you dine early, 8:30pm reserve. too late to appreciate the view. Very Quiet ambience so felt like we had to contain our conversation to whispers. I believe it is better for special romantic occasions for night. Would love to try brunch next time

This is my "go-to" restaurant for my birthday luncheon every year. It never fails to make my "special day" even more special. It's in a class by itself. The Napa valley view from our terrace table was incredible. Our appetizers consisted of oysters on the half shell with ginger mignonette, and a delicious lamb tartare served atop a thin parmesan tart with a quail egg and mustard seed vinaigrette. The Day Boat Scallop entrée was heavenly. It was served in a colorful and delicious sweet white corn, romano bean, quinoa, tomato jus. The servers were very attentive and knowledgeable. I can't imagine going anywhere else for my special day.

My wife and I just went for a "dating anniversary" dinner, and the evening was spectacular. The food was delicious. We had the scallop and the kona kampachi crudo. The former was sauteed perfectly, and the raw kampachi was a delicacy. A couple of glasses of sparkling wine rounded up the first course very well. Our main courses were the squab and the duck, which we paired with a bottle of Zinfandel, and both dishes were outstanding. We were also extremely pleased with the quality of the service. One example: we found a small piece of cloth lodged into the bread, and they immediately took it back to the kitchen to alert the chef, and then came out to apologize. They did their utmost to treat us well. We look forward to returning.

We've said it before and will say it again: on a fine day there is NO better place to eat than on Auberge's patio, overlooking the Napa Valley, eating Auberge's exquisite food and receiving their perfect service. None. Zip. We eat all over Northern CA at every price point, and this is the premier spot for the perfect Wine Country lunch. The view is amazing, the food even more so, the service equals the food. Yowza! My 3-course prix fixe was a stunning bargain for $40. Spouse did regular menu and loved every bite. The dishes are CA cuisine with French discipline and balance: nothing is oversalted, nor oversauced, every taste and flavor in proportion to each other. PERFECTION!

The terrace at L'Auberge has an enchantment factor that's hard to match. Service is impeccable but not intrusive. Elegant food. Only slight complaint - the wine list is now on an i-pad and takes longer to look at that way. So much for progress ! Otherwise an experience worth its price tag.

I expected more. I really wanted to come here because the scenic view from outdoor seating and that was lovely but the service was very slow and my fruit was sour, my bacon was too crispy/burnt. I was surprised my pancakes came out fine. My sister ordered the eggs Benedict and that was good too. I had high expectations but I would still give it a second try. Even though first impressions are the most important.

This place has everything - from food to service to location and views, pricey, but worth the experience if you are in Napa. If I had to choose one restaurant in Napa, this would be one of them. I haven't been to French Laundry to compare, but this one is not too far on Zagat reting, and much easier to get into - thanks to a remote location. Again, outstanding place for a special event.

The attention to detail was just fabulous. Our waiter was knowledgable about the menu and beyond. The presentation of the food was impeccable! That doesn't even touch on how delicious it all was. Everything about this place is perfect for a romantic dinner or a special experience with friends and family. The food is above par and the setting is perfect. The service was also excellent, I only discounted one star because it was my friends birthday and they had indicated they would do something (not that I asked or expected anything) yet the dinner came and went with no acknowledgement. Even the best places sometimes slip but I did not hold it against them. Overall this was a 5 star experience.

we liked the technology aspect of how they presented the wine list on ipads, but the menu was underwhelming. at a place of this caliber every one of their wines by the glass should be irresistable but some were not worth the calorie intake. but give them points on the half glass option and the good selections were indeed superstars. on the food side, rather than wanting to try everything as in other restos, we were challenged to find something to order. what stood out was lamb tartar which was outstanding but the rest of the menu was uninspiring. they redeemed themselves on some great desserts which brought their average food rating to a good. The views were scenic and representative of a napa dining experience.

We enjoy Auberge du Soliel very much - the food. the service, the lovely setting and views from the veranda. This visit was no exception - our food was delicious and exceptional. The service, for the most part, was attentive. There was one glitch which surprised me, however, while awaiting the arrival of dessert - a waiter whom I had not seen before suddenly appeared with another bowl of the soup I had had as an appetizer and tried to serve it to me. I explained that I had already had that course as well as my entree and was awaiting dessert. Another 15 minutes passed before our waiter walked by and noticed that I still didn't have my dessert. Once it arrived, the dessert was delicious.
