  • "I manage to dine here just a couple times a year, but over the last several years it has never disappointed. This restaurant excels on all levels and is my favorite place to bring friends who have not visited Wine Country before. The view is unmatched for a restaurant!"

  • "setting and food were wonderful. Very pricey for dinner. Got bit by many mosquitoes on deck."

  • "This place is a true gem. It doesn't get any better than this- the view is amazing, the service is wonderful and the meal is quite special. We ordered the duck and veal and they were amazing. The wine selection is impressive and the ambiance can't be beat. I would return each trip I take to Napa."

  • "I had heard a lot of good things about this place. They were all true and perhaps understated. This place is special. Great food, service, and the view is the best in Napa. Thanks"

  • "Phenomenal. The food, the view, the service, and the ambiance are spectacular. The patio is oriented such that you "feel" as though you have your own private backyard, except we're at Auberge. Gnocchi was awesome as a shared appetizer. Went with the fixed menu which was great."

  • "Everything about this place was wonderful.. The service, food, and scenery are 5 star quality. Will definite recommend to all my friends and will return here on my next trip!"

  • "Not easy to find in the dark, Auberge maintains its rank at the top of Napa Valley restaurants. Its wine list is superb and presentation of it on a tablet is clever. The multi-course prix fixe options were exceptional. In our case, the lobster and ahi tuna choices were top drawer, the lamb not so much. Too bad one had to limit wine intake to be able to navigate back home!"

  • "Auberge du Soleil did not disappoint. Wonderful prix fixe menu with multiple choices. Excellent."

  • "Very disappointed in the food. Service was bad...spots on wine glass an extra 150 dollars on the bill Do not recommend"

  • "We enjoyed every single dish and felt that for what we received the Prix Fixe brunch was well worth the cost. The views are absolutely amazing from the deck and the service was spot on."

  • "I took my girlfriend here for brunch for her birthday this last week, and all i can say is that this was one of the best experiences I've ever had! Incredible views, very active servers, and the brunch was delicious. A set 3-course with cocktail was an excellent break midday between wine tasting."

  • "Four friends and I went for a day of wine tasting in celebration of a friends birthday. The brunch was delicious and as always the service superb. The place is beautiful and you are treated like royalty. The attention to detail and of course the food always surpasses your expectation. We had been there in the past but only to the bar, which has a different menu. The brunch had many options and everyone was raving on the taste and presentation of the food. Marvelous place!"

  • "Certainly a special place with an amazing view. Best to take in lunch or early evening to ensure that the view is fully embraced. The food is as expected...fantastic. The portion size is perfect and the preparations are wonderful. Flavors are full without being a distraction to any aspect. Save room for the "candy bar"...you need to inquire as it is definitely a shared opportunity! The people from valet to hostess to the service staff ensure this meal is an experience worth repeating. There are many wonderful places to eat in Napa, but this is one of those deserving a place in the top 5."

  • "I was skeptical about some of the reviews that said that it was "the best meal ever". After all, this restaurant isn't in a major city. Wow was I surprised even with all the hype coming in. I had pork chops, which were amazing. The veggies were fresh, and I actually ate them before I finished the meat for the first time in my life. Truly one of the best meals i've ever had, with a view to boot. Wine recommendations were great -- I am not knowledgeable in wine."

  • "My wife and I went here and had their brunch. At $65, it is very affordable for top-notch food, and the view and ambiance cannot be beat."

  • "We visited the restaurant on the sunny day. The view from the restaurant is wonderful. The taste of the food are also good, a little expensive."

  • "Auberge has a great brunch menu with delicious choices! We had the fluffy lobster omelet and ahi tuna for our main course. We loved the special artisan breads served warm with delicious Meyer lemon curd and butter. Our appetizers were tasty too I enjoyed the potato leek soups with crab. What impressed us most was the service. While the bar area's service was not very attentive and even forgot to prepare my cocktail. The restaurant's service was absolutely Michelin rated! They were all extremely attentive and offered great suggestions. It was a Saturday when we went and a few weddings were going on. The noise level was not distracting even though it was on the deck below. Overall, we enjoyed our experience!"

  • "Excellent service and the view was great. The wines pairing were well thought out and appropriate. The staff was very polite and attentive."

  • "We've been coming to Auberge since it opened in the mid-80's and it remains an excellent destination for creative cuisine, great wine list, and wonderful service. Then, there's the unsurpassed view of the Napa Valley from the deck. This year, we felt the food had fallen off a bit: the Kona Kampachi Crudo presentation was nice but the flavors were uninteresting, and the portion miniscule; the burrata was outstanding; the Veal Sweetbreads were disappointing, unrecognizable & prepared as a small disk, however, the rice/asparagus/mushroom accompaniment was delicious; the wines were outstanding including Napa & Sonoma chardonnays, and French red burgundies. All in all, not quite up to the high standards of Auberge, but then there's the view."

  • "Auberge du Solel is perfection. The meal was outstanding, the service impeccable and the view is breathtaking. This is a very special restaurant."

  • "I have dined at Auberge numerous times, always for a special event, for the last 20 years. I have always been just delighted with the outstanding food, warm and gracious service and lovely ambience, both inside and out. It is the classic, elegant dining experience. Bar none, it is my favorite restaurant in Northern California. Worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • "We visit from the east coast every year! Their brunch is a great way to enjoy 4star food at an affordable price! Watercress soup appetizer and Scottish salmon entree were both AMAZING! My husband lived his meal as well! Bravo!"

  • "Dinner at Auberge du Soleil was pleasant for the food, the wine options, the service, and the view. Refreshing, and not lacking in any sophistication yet providing outdoors dining in gorgeous setting. Real people without scripting; really a pleasant and memorable evening. Had there been French wait staff, I could have been convinced that I had traveled to the South of France for dinner."

  • "WE HAD AN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE IN EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE!"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "Service felt like the JV squad and the food was underwhelming at best. For $450+ for two people, you can do much better in the Napa Valley. The flavors just weren't right. Few things other than the view were right about this restaurant. It was a complete disappointment, given the Auberge name."
    Dined on 3/16/2014
  • "We have dined at Auberge before and find the food consistently delicious! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I didn't feel the waiter was knowledgeable about what gluten free means. My husband has Celiac disease so gluten free is a medical necessity not a dietary choice. Unfortunately he did get some gluten and became ill."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 35 wedding anniversary here. It was fantastic in every category. Our lunch was a Foodie's delight, the service was attentive and our view of the valley was breathtaking! This is not the first time we have had celebrations at this restaurant. It is a place to go for any type of celebration."

  • "Everyone has to experience this restaurant just once and they will talk about it forever! Delicious food, service, and view! At our table we had the burata with blood orange as a starter as well as the gnocchi. Both were excellent. Then we had the sunchoke ravioli, pork chop, and bay scallops. All beautifully presented and flavorful. The desserts were good but we would try something next time. The banana foster was good but not amazing while we has a chocolate dessert with milk sorbet that was decadent."

  • "Beautiful setting and a wonderful brunch! Choosing a couple of courses was just the right amount of food and gave us a great taste of the menu. Everything was fresh and really great food! Wine list was long and rather pricey, but with all the wine tastings before and after, we opted for a Bellini instead. I would definitely go back for brunch."
