A word from Auberge du Pommier
An exquisite French restaurant constructed around the rustic vestiges of two 1860's woodcutter's cottages. Cozy wood burning fireplaces in winter and lush garden terraces in summer. Inspired modern French cuisine, seasonal tasting menus lunch and dinner, and a 500 label wine selection has something for every palate. One of Toronto's Top 10 Restaurants. "The service at Auberge du Pommier is silken smooth and deliciously attentive; the ambiance is luxe; and the food is very good French technique using impeccable ingredients." Diner Reviews
  • "Beautiful setting to enjoy a romantic dinner except for the lack of temperature control. We were sat right on a vent that was blasting cold air. Brrrr. Didn't help much even after the server used menus to cover the vents!"

  • "Great food and even better service. The food and presentation was outstanding. We will definitely be back."

  • "Our expectations were high so we were overall disappointed. The menu is also not too interesting."

  • "My husband and I were married at Auberge Aug 2, 2013. The staff, atmosphere, ambience & the food was absolute heaven. I truly felt like Cinderella in a fairytale. Everything was perfect! 1 year later we celebrated our 1st anniversary at Auberge. The service and attention received were remarkable. Auberge made me feel as special at my anniversary date with my husband as they did at our wedding. Thank you O&B from Gary and Michelle C."

  • "We went there to celebrate my birthday. The food was out-of-this-world and the service was excellent. I liked the way they had server rotating around throughout the evening for 3 different kinds of warm bread. The beef tartar I ordered was a good portion that filled me up 50%. It was much bigger than I anticipated. All in all, I will strongly recommend this place to my friends and family."

  • "Impeccable attentive yet unintrusive service, with tasteful food that is artfully prepared. The patio is secluded and has you feeling you're no longer in Toronto. they've captured the best of French cuisine and cobbled it to an incredible ambience."

  • "Great restaurant! Food and service are excellent. We will be there again to have our events. Thank you Auberge du Pommier."

  • "Auberge maintain a high level of food and service. The summer vegetarian menu is light and and has a great mix of flavours. You wont feel over full at the end. The wine pairings are excellent. Its expensive but worth it."

  • "for the second time , the wine ordered from the menu was not the correct vintage when delivered to the table. Maybe not a big deal , but the restaurant seemed a little surprised that I noticed and felt it was not a big deal."

  • "I had not been to l'Auberge du Pommier in about 20 years. It was a treat to go back and find it as charming as ever."

  • "Auberge has lost it's charm... It used to be the best restaurant in Toronto. The food is average and so is the service. Gourmand tasting menu was good but not wow. The wines are priced high. Overall For the price and what you get, go somewhere else."

  • "It was refreshing to have space around the tables creating privacy for each table. Also refreshing was the quietness: no Muzak to talk over, no clanking of silverware etc. Service was attentive rather than hovering. The chairs were comfortable for relaxed dining. Presentation was artful, pleasing. Of course, the food was outstanding, blending different flavours and textures. Definitely a special occasion venue! And love the fact you don't have to go right downtown, handy on and off to 401."

  • "My family loves this restaurant. The First time I heard from my son. Father the Fish filet very delicious. I want more. And take the fork finish it unbelieveable fast. I think I should earn more money to feed him right up in the future. I won't never forget . I will suggest not going to Saturday or Sunday . Or holiday too many people. Waiting time very long. Weekday much much better. Sit in right away."

  • "We drove in from Peterborough to celebrate a special occasion at Auberge. While living in Toronto, it was the restaurant at which we celebrated life's events because the food has never disappointed, the service is always exceptional, and the ambience is perfect. The menu is varied enough to be interesting and changes often enough to encourage return visits. After all these years, Auberge du Pommier is the best restaurant of its kind."

  • "I came here for summerlicious because I've heard many great things about this resturant. The food was great, the service was great, and it was well worth what I paid. I would come here again, even without the price fixe menu to see what their normal menu is."

  • "This was probably by far the best experience we've had at a summerlicious restaurant. The service was outstaning. glasses were always full or water, bread always on the table and the staff friendly and attentive. The food was also great.... The filet mignon and Salmon cooked perfectly and it was very tasty.... I would definitely go back and try their full menu....."

  • "We've always enjoyed each meal at Auberge, and this dinner on a busy summerlicious weekend was no exception! The food was delicious, and the service was phenomenal. My son has severe allergies to multiple food, and the waiter/chef accommodated his allergies without problem, and even gave him a special dessert! We will definitely be returning again."

  • "I have never been to Auberge during the "specials" like Summerlicious and frankly wanted to test them as so far they have been providing us with an amazing culinary experience :) Even though the menu was not super interesting or adventurous it's the way food wa sprepared that makes this restaurant stand out! I don't even remember when I had a chicken breast that was THAT well prepared - not your typical dry slab, it was REALLY amaizng. Yes - simple chicken breast was AMAZING and that's why it's still two thumbs up for this restaurant!!!"

  • "Very good presentation and taste. I didn't read properly, I thought the crispy fish is actual fish fillet and not crushed fish meet in a deep fried ball. I'll remember to ask all the menu items before ordering next time. A bit pricy, but that's why going in the summerlicious or winterlicious time is good. For the past years I didn't see other fish dishes."

  • "Auberge has lived up to the reputation I have heard about. In my opinion finest o&b spot in the city. The filet mignong was like butter, the quality and dining experience was unmatched for me."

  • "Thanks for the great service and delicious meal. I have been to your restaurant twice within one month. Tried the two tasting menus and summerlicious. Many said food in summerlicious is usually not as great. I went to a few. Your restaurant is the only one that I can say food taste as great in both visits. Thus I have recommend your restaurant to all my friends and family. Keep up the great work. I look forward to visit your restaurant again in the near future."

  • "The restuarant was very nice, spacious, where we were seated there was a lot of natural light. I was pleased with my order. Somethings I thought could have been better consideriing I was at Auberge Du Pommier. I expected it to taste different. The shrimp was very good and I'm usually not a fan of shrimp. I usually rate a restuarant on how well the dessert was (I'm a fan of dessert) it was adequate and maybe that was because of the choices we had it was the summerlicious menu."

  • "We were amazed by the fantastic service provided by the staff at Auberge du Pommier. Everyone was attentive and discrete. We were so busy talking and enjoying ourselves that the staff did their best to be unobtrusive. They were wonderful :-) The food service for our Summerlious Lunch was very tastey, perfectly cooked and beautifully plated. We have all ready planned to come back for future staff luncheons. Thank you."

  • "It was good, but the portions were a bit small. I also didn't really enjoy the appetizer, and the chicken cordon bleu was not traditional at all (not stuffed with ham and cheese). However, the chicken was moist and the dessert was delicious. I think the cookies for the ice cream sandwich were storebought, but the candied hazlenuts was a nice touch."

  • "We've done this with our friends for several years now and Auberge has not disappointed us. The staff is friendly and informed and it was a perfect day to eat on the patio. The Summerlicious menu had something for all of us and we were all very impressed with the food."

  • "Usually the food is outstanding but for some reason this time it was just okay. Could be due to Summerlicious and the place was slammed. Buns at the talbe were hard as a dry and hard and my chicken breast was dry."

  • "Presentation fantastic. Service above par - polite, patient, knowledgable, professional. Food excellent. My niece (who lives to cook) was over the top with the food, it's presentation and the descriptions."

  • "We visited this restaurant during Summerlicious. The staff re-arranged the tables on the patio to accommodate our request to eat outdoors. What a beautiful patio with the covered awning. The meal was spectacular and the wine paring completed by the restaurant was a nice treat. Our waiter was extremely knowledgable on the pairings with each of our dinner selections. His sense of humour was refreshing. A wonderful experience and I believe this is my new favourite restaurant."

  • "This is the 3rd time that we (4 adults) have dined at Auberge for Summer and Winterlicious and the first time that we have been disappointed. The shrimp appetizer was nicely plated, but lacked in flavour. 3 of us had the fish, and 1 person had the chicken. The fish was the biggest letdown, it seemed to be a deep fried potato cake, with a few peas and lettuce on the plate. The chicken was so-so. The cheese plate for dessert was mediocre. We all agreed that the restaurant was trying hard to cut costs and it definitely showed. On a brighter note, the service was, as usual, impeccable, with a very charming and efficient waiter."
