Diner Reviews
  • "Had a wonderful time. The service was beyond excellent (thank you Carlos), the food cooked to perfection, the wine list quite impressive. Fantastic view and atmosphere. We were well taken care of from the time we entered, to the time we left. Well worth every penny. We spent over 2 hours there on a Sunday afternoon and were so relaxed we barely noticed passage of time. Make sure you try the desserts too! We will be back."

  • "We had breakfast here. It was a tad overpriced, even for NYC. The service wasn't good, we waited over 15 minutes for coffee and tea. Our breakfasts didn't arrive until almost an hour and the restaurant was only half full. It is convenient if you are staying at the Conrad (Amazing hotel by the way) but don't go out of your way to eat here."

  • "Wish the reviews would have disclosed it was a hotel restaurant. The food was ok -salad overdressed, prosciutto truffle oil pizza lacked flavor. Food was ok but nothing extraordinary"

  • "Oh boy - get the ahi tuna BLT! Tuna slice, avocado, and some very nice thick cut bacon all with shiracha mayo on the side to slather on as you like!"

  • "This is the restaurant of a Hotel near the Hudson walkway. It can be a good find if you are playing with kids outside and need to find a place close by to eat. It is very quiet and mostly empty but there is good light overlooking the walkway. Their orange juice is delicious and their eggs benedict were very good. I swapped the bacon for salmon and they accommodated :-)"

  • "my most recent visit here - food was really good as always, that's why i keep coming back. Definitely recommend this place!"

  • "Ate at the ATRIO Wine Bar while staying at the Conrad. Food was above my expectations. Service was great. Quite quiet and feels a bit like a hotel restaurant (it is!) but they did a nice job considering it is just off the lobby and the street view is just ok."

  • "I'll be back! There are lots of great restaurants in NY, but the ones I return to are the ones that I know will provide excellent food AND a great experience. All of the staff were nice, but the real standout was my server (a nice man from Peru, whose name I cannot recall at the moment). He's got a wonderful temperament, is personable, and took real pleasure in helping us through the menu. He's a keeper! "

  • "Food good. Service friendly but not particularly professional. Wait staff needs training in how to deliver orders & remove dishes."

  • "had the brussel sprouts, spaghetti chitaara and a mushroom pasta. All were delicious, but the sprouts are DELICIOUS - MORE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE. The mushroom pasta was good, but you have to like earthy mushrooms, they are very very earthy - like hen of the woods type of mushrooms. the spaghetti is amazing, i have to say its made very well. "

  • "Found this place online when looking to meet a friend who was taking the PATH to the WTC to meet me. Beautiful hotel. Open, modern restaurant. Excellent food and service. We shared a pasta and a pizza. The pasta was very rich but delicious. Pizza was nicely charred on the bottom. Would love to go back. We did not get alcohol so were able to keep the cost very reasonable."

  • "I come here a lot - for one reason, i love the food. brussel sprouts are my fave and AMAZING! They know me here and always help me get what i want. Spaghetti chittara is also great! Their apps are something that change on season and always good, - note that the olives spread that comes free with the bread is delicious, but not vegetarian - has fish in it. "

  • "They should bring back the tasting plates. It was unique and great way to highlight the chief's cooking skills. However, the food that we had for lunch was delicious."

  • "Atrio is in Conrad Hotel and the atmosphere is great. The service could be better. Both the female and male server looked like they hated their jobs. The bread could be better too."

  • "I frequently visit for business lunches. The service and food are always excellent. Never a dull hotel meal and the room is very comfortable and pretty. The restaurant week menu was terrific!"

  • "A must have appetitizer. Ideal for a business lunch downtown in the Conrad Hotel. Attentive service, reasonable prices by NYC standards and an excellent ambiance for a business discussion."

  • "This is the 3rd restaurant week I have been to at atrio. This time the food was excellent! Every dish was good. The service was a little slow for lunch though and it wasn't even crowded. Will come back for another restaurant week special."

  • "Tried to check in for our reso and the server/host told us she would be w us in a moment, 5 minutes later she came back to seat us. The restaurant was dead at 12 for brunch and the service still couldn't have been worse. The food was very good and I would reccommend the pizza. But next time I'd order it as room service."

  • "Great food great service. Wonderful skyline view. Superb quality food without the pretentiousness."

  • "We had a late lunch one day and a breakfast here. In both situations the service was spotty. We were seated promptly but it seemed to take an extra long time to get a waiter to take our order. The order was placed, we received our food and when we were done eating it seemed like there was no follow through. It took a long time for the waiter to come around to get us our check. We even had to ask the host for more water or coffee. In both situations the restaurant was not that busy."

  • "Dined here right after the holidays for a business lunch. Great views of the water, service was great, food menu had a good variety. I tried the open faced chicken salad - very good with fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the ambience both in how the restaurant was decorated and the views of the water as well. There aren't any signs outside the building to recognize there is a restaurant inside, just pay attention to the addresses when locating the restaurant. Will return again."

  • "We were there for late Sunday brunch. Restaurant was very quiet with only a few patrons. Food was good. Service was impeccable. They were extremely accommodating with allowing changes in menu items. Truly enjoyed. Conrad Hotel in which it is located is a beautiful venue. Will go back for drinks and dinner."

  • "Tables are spread out so makes for a perfect place for business conversation. Bartender was helpful when hostess wasn't around to get our coats and get us coffees to go when we were running out of time."

  • "I've had the opportunity to enjoy lunch in Atrio on more than one occasion. Always enjoyable. This time enjoyed the lamb burger - delicious. My companion had the eggplant pasta dish. She loved it. Don't think of Atrio as "just" a hotel restaurant. In my experience it's a good restaurant - that happens to be in a hotel (in this case the Conrad in Battery Park City)."

  • "Reasonably priced, great food. Equally good for a business lunch or dining with friends. I'll be back!"

  • "This was our second visit to this resatuarant and, again, all of our orders were timely, well-prepared and flavorful. We covered quite a few of the items on their dinner menu and all were exceptional"

  • "The food, service, wine, view and ambiance was great. I brought a small group for lunch, who I wanted to thank for a job well done. They talked about it all the way back to the office. Couldn't have been better."

  • "Restaurant Week dinner before vacation. Food was very good from RW menu. Waiter Valter mention in previous reviews was excellent. All in all a fine family meal."

  • "Listed as a participant in restaurant week for Sunday nights, and is not."
    Dined on 8/11/2013
  • "Food is okay but severely understaffed and servers had to be literally flagged down for everything. Similar situation in our last visit but we had wanted to give it another try - wasn't any better."
    Dined on 8/8/2013
  • "We did restaurant week last year at Atrio and had a great lunch. Doing it again this year and feel like the quality has gone down. The food on the RW menu was good but not great. Theist disappointing was the dessert. We had a choice of ice cream or bread pudding. Now, I think serving ice cream is kind of cheating but if it's good then I will let that slide. However, the bread pudding was just not making the cut. It was just terrible. It was cold and dense. Not at all pudding like. It was more like bread....."

  • "Great food, service and staff. Wine list not extensive, no dates but fair selection and the bottle we had was excellent. Rum raisin gelato was excellent."

  • "Food was delicious; efficient and knowledgeable service from our waiter Valter. Very convenient to dine while traveling for business"

  • "Went here on the advice of a colleague who stays at the Conrad when working in Manhattan. The food was excellent - the plating and combination of flavors was incredible. My server was not the most friendly, but he was attentive. I had the seared tuna nicoise 'salad' which was a combination of the ingredients on a grilled bread (brioche?) - the flavors were fantastic and the quail egg added extra richness. The main was scallops, with an impressive puree and fresh peas - simple, incredibly tasty, and cooked well. Had the panacotta for dessert, great because it's not too sweet, which would have not gone well with the rest of the meal. Great combination of flavors and well executed, but without getting too fancy or wild with the artistry."

  • "This is the second time I had lunch there and it was lovely. Food was good - nobody rushed us. We had time to talk and we enjoyed the food. Service was great - they made us feel like very appreciated customers and it was a peaceful lunch."

  • "I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful a time we experienced at Atrio. The food was wonderful. Sammy, our server, was outstanding. Our overall experience was quite memorable."

  • "This is a wonderful restaurant for a family brunch! We had a beautiful view of the river and the kids chose from a healthy kids menu. Even the children really enjoyed the mellow atmosphere. The service was very good and we appreciated how they helped to make our time in the restaurant special. We will be back."
    Dined on 6/16/2013
  • "Atrio provides the rare experience of a lunch place downtown that does not jam the tables too close together, enabling you to have a quiet, pleasant conversation with your lunch companions without having to shout, and without worrying about being overheard. Their version of a "bento box" with all compnents served at once is ingenious. One suggestion: offer a low calorie bento box option. Also--Atrio must focus on builiding an identity as a serious restaurant, and not just a "hotel restaurant." Focus on excellent, swift service, since lunchtime diners during the week are usually operating under time pressure."

  • "Had a short window to order and eat, but service was prompt, food good and quiet atmosphere made it a great choice for an abbreviated business lunch."
