Diner Reviews
  • "I like to stop here on my way home from work. It is a convenient place for my husband to meet me. I was pleased that you were able to make reservations on line. We've been there before when we've had to wait for a table and this time we were seated right away.. The food was very good, although I was disappointed that they weren't serving the warm crusty bread anymore ( the bread was served cold ). Sorry to see the Peanut salad dressing and Chicken Marsala were taken off the menu (along with the warm bread). Also, I think charging an additional $3.49 for soup or salad to be added to your main entree is a little steep. It made the tilapia entree that we ordered very expensive compared to other restaurants."

  • "I asked the server for my pork tenderloins to be well done, i.e., no pink. The first time they came they were very pink. The second time they came back they were still pink. I told them to forget the whole thing. This took a great deal of time I would have preferred doing something else with, and I never did get to eat. Furthermore, the server asked that I not forget that this was not his fault and I not take this out on him (by way of the tip, I suppose). The chef arrived and apologized profusely, but by then it was too late--I wanted to get out of there. We left. Even though they offered to bring me another entree, I had had it with the place and will never return. They need to understand that "well done" means "well done.""

  • "Chose to make a reservation for a Sunday mid-afternoon just to be sure they were open at the time. Few diners at that time but I was lucky that the lady ahead of me in line was picking up two pieces of carrot cake, because it prompted me to ask for it for desert and it was amazing-great to share. Very comfortable place with a variety of tables, booths, different rooms so going there multiple times could be like going a bunch of different places. Our food was really tasty and well prepared, the lunch menu choices gave us lots to choose from with good variety. I felt that the entrees my wife and I each had were very reasonably priced. Lots of servers about so even if it was a busier time it appeared they were prepared for service."

  • "Atria's Wexford has never been a disappointment. Nice addition of Lenten features to the menu. Crab Mac and cheese was loaded with crab meat on top."

  • "Very impressed that the chef came to the table to discuss gluten free choices. Entre was delicious. Surprised salad did not have mixed greens. Will return."

  • "Atrias is our local favorite in the North Hills. Conveniently located on Rt 19, we always receive great service and a delicious meal. Their menu offers a variety of tempting dishes - something to please everyone. The chef also offers specials each day not on the menu. Nice bar area, too."

  • "We were a party of eight adults. We had a reservation that we were on time for. We were squished around a table for six in the middle of the restaurant, instead of building a table like they did for the other large parties there. Our server had no idea how the food was prepared. He brought out the wrong items several times. However, the food tasted great. Especially for Pittsburgh cuisine."

  • "The food is mediocre at best we waited 45 minutes to be seated after our reservation time. Why have a reservation? The restaurant is very noisy."

  • "At least three tables were seated before my party. The result was standing around 25 minutes before being seated at a table that had been empty for at least 20 minutes."

  • "We have been going to Atria's Wexford since it opened. Unfortunately, we have seen a steady decline in both service and food."

  • "Great menu, food was hot when it came out. Meal was wonderful. Wait staff seemed to disappear for long periods of time even though it wasnt too crowded."

  • "We came to Atria's to celebrate our 40th anniversary. That's a big one and no one said or did anything - no special desert or offer of an appetizer. We arrived early - 5 pm - and they were out of their crab bisque and when the main course arrived I had more rice and carrots than seafood. They didn't offer to refill the bread either. All in all it was very disappointing."

  • "We have been going to Atria's on Rt 19 since it opened. Never had bad service or so so food. The restaurant is well laid out, commodes a lot of people, but you do no feel crowded, at times it gets a bit loud, but manageable. It is a popular place, at times even with reservation you might have to wait 15 - 20 minutes, but the bar is a good place for that. They have special occasions like brunch with Santa that is great with grand kids or kids."

  • "Atria's was packed on Saturday. Everyone must have been celebrating the non-snowy moderate weather. The restaurant did a good job of trying the service everyone. It has to be difficult to staff and serve that many people. The food was good and the service was good considering the crowd."

  • "Went there for Valentines Day. It was very busy but we had reservations and had no problem being seated. The restaurant was staffed appropriately for a large crowd and was very attentive. The food was excellent. It was a very enjoyable evening."

  • "First off, love Atria's, and will still eat there. That said, this was the worst dining experience imaginable due to the freezing temps in the dining room. There was literally cold wind blowing throughout the dining area, and being 20 degrees outside, it was somewhat less than ideal conditions inside. We mentioned to our server about it (who was great, no complaints with her at all), she said they turned the heat on, but obviously something was wrong. All of the other guests had their coats on as well. Again, still love the place, and I know bad nights happen, but still felt compelled to leave a review because at least an apology from a manager can go a long way."

  • "Food was good. Service was slow, food came out wrong and they lost our leftovers. used to be a good place but it seems to have gone down hill. I when here for Valentine's Day. Service was very slow. But it seemed to be just us. We were there over 2.5 hours. I saw other tables turn over multiple times while we waited. Then when the food arrived both our steaks that were order medium rare came out well done. No one checked on us for at least 15 minutes. Sent the steaks back they brought new ones done correctly. Had some leftovers that we wanted to take home. They lost them in the back. The waitress seemed like she didn't really care. there was no effort or offer to take the string out of slow service, miss cooked steaks or lost leftovers."

  • "Everything was excellent. I made reservations for Valentine's Day dinner. I had no trouble getting reservations through Open Table, we were seated on time, our food was excellent, waiter was sharp and attentive despite the busy atmosphere."

  • "Had a lovely valentines dinner with friends. The food was amazing and our waitress was very nice. Would definitely go back again. The only negative would be they do not have a drink list and when we asked she didn't really give us an answer as to what they had. She pretty much just said they have vodka. Other than that amazing."

  • "I am not going to lie, Atria's was not the first restaurant we tried to make Valentine's Day reservations with. When I told my co-workers this is where we were going, there were a few jokes about "how romantic". We have done Valentine's Day at Atria's many years ago and it was really good then. It was GREAT this year. The Bartenders were lively, funny, and very personable. Our waitress, and I am sorry that I cannot remember her name but we were there at 9pm and she was a pretty blond with pink glasses, was terrific. The food-amazing! (We got the Valentine's Day dinner special) I could not wait to go into work the next day and tell everyone what they missed. We will definitely be back, and have already told many people to go as well."

  • "I left mad and hurt. Two weeks having my reservations got me nowhere. My wife was not handed a carnation like every other woman did. Instead of the table clothe and candle setting, we recieved the sports bar treatment with full compliments of queen on the speakers nice and loud. Instead of an intimate aetting we recieved the wsiting area for people to get tables running into ours while watching the Olympics. Service was subpar with long waits just get water. People seated after us were onto their soup and salad only to my wife receiving her pop. Then the grand finale of a $15 plate blown to $40 for a lack luster surf and turf."

  • "Out of town family and we heard great things about this place. Fixed menu for thanksgiving which I was not expecting just turkey and ham. Portions were plentiful but felt very rushed by staff. Given dessert without being offered coffee. Very cold inside restaurant as well. Very disappointed that we spent this much on such a pitiful thanksgiving meal. Would not recommend for next thanksgiving"

  • "My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with Atrias. We had received gift cards for our wedding in 2011, and until now had not had the chance to use them. The service and the food was excellent! The atmosphere is upscale but casual. Would definitely recommend for a good date night meal."

  • "We got to the restaurant at a bit before our 5:30pm reservation. The restaurant was closed. A hostess came out to tell us that the pipes were frozen. I told her we had a reservation & never received a call or email about this. The hostess fought me on it saying she absolutely called and left a message as she remembered my name. I took out my cell phone and showed her that I received no calls at all that day nor were any emails sent. She got indignant & practically yelled st me that she did call. I let her know that it was my boyfriends & my 3 yr anniversary & we had been looking forward to this but now due to our treatment, we would not be returning to atrias."

  • "It is always a pleasure to return to Atria's in Wexford. The consistently great meals and exceptional service never leave us disappointed. With the wonderful variety of menu options, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Steak, chicken, fish and seafood are all unique creations. A personal favorite is Fra Diablo which is a delicious spicy pasta dish. The wine list is affordable with a nice variety offered and the adjoining bar area provides happy hour drinks worth checking out as well as large screen TV's to keep up with the sports scene, if that is your preference. Desserts will also tempt - try the enormous carrot cake and the new Limóncello cake - delicious!"

  • "This is a very nice place and great for a special occasion. The service was excellent and it just made you feel relaxed. I was at this Atria's once with a friend many years ago but this was the first time my husband and I were here together. It was a very nice evening. Our waitress was very professional and the atmosphere was very romantic. Definitely will be back."

  • "The restaurant has an excellent reputation, but they were definitely off their mark on Saturday, the 11th. The service was extremely slow , and the wait staff was taking the wrong food items to the wrong table. We were placed at a table, were the lighting was very poor. If was difficult to read the menu."

  • "Food was outstanding. My wife and I both had the Saturday Steak Oscar special. Steak was the best I have had in a restaurant in years, including some high priced downtown Pittsburgh steak houses. Asparagus was cooked to perfection but could have used a touch more hollandaise sauce. We shared a piece of lemon with coffee. Perfect palate cleanser and ending to a wonderful meal."

  • "We picked this restaurant to meet with 4-6 friends over the holiday week while we were in the Pittsburgh area. The food was good, not great. The service was not great either. There was some kind of drama with the bartender and other staff - I believe she was unable to cover all her tables (large parties) and the bar. We were early for our dinner reservations, so hung around the bar to kill time. Took forever to get drinks, but I sympathized with the overwhelmed bartender. When we finally got seated, it took a little while to get drink orders from our server. Her visits to the table were far and few between. Luckily, the food was good and the company stellar. Otherwise, we probably would have moved our party elsewhere."

  • "As expected, the food was fabulous....once the waitress delivered it! Before that, our waitress messed up my dad's drink order. She took forever to bring each round of drinks- whether it was water, tea, or beer - not just once, not a second time...but three times in a row she came to the table...and we had to ask her again and again for them. As for the dinner, the waitress messed up my meal and had to go back to the kitchen and change it. She brought the sides out late. In addition, she forgot to give us bread with our meal..and didn't realize it until we pointed it out as we were paying the bill. The food, however, was excellent!! As for the atmosphere....our only complaint was it was so cold we all ate with our coats on."

  • "We frequent this restaurant because of its location and its menu. There is something for every taste. The staff is very cordial, the portions are appropriate, and the variety should please most diners. I would have given 5 stars for the food but this evening we asked for 'pink' center filet and got 'brown' center...a bit overcooked. This rarely happens but did this evening. All else was fine."

  • "Four of us met for dinner. We all ordered something different. One meal was good (seafood combo), one was fair (chicken parm) and two were poor (penne with vodka sauce and special of evening which was city chicken). The penne with vodka sauce was dried out, was ordered with shrimp and came with chicken. The city chicken was not a true Pittsburgh city chicken. It was pork heavily breaded with panko crumbs and also dried out - overcooked. Although the chicken parm was fair, the cook made a lunch portion so the meal came out it as two orders. Love most Atrias locations but much better for drinks, appetizers and drinks not dinners."
