Diner Reviews
  • "The food was good, as usual. The service was competent, but frenetic. We saw waiters running. (Not enough waiters?) The noise was not just "energetic", it was overwhelming. Maybe this is because it's the tourist season. I don't remember the noise being so bad on previous occasions, and the service was also more leisurely."

  • "I told the restaurant it was my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend and the waiter gave us dessert on the house. The bonbons were delicious. Also, the specials here are very well selected and prepared."

  • "we just come from the UES, because of these two great girls: Susanna and Molly. They are so nice, kind and professional. We have been already 5 times there in one month. Great place, always come back and suggest to everyone!!!"

  • "We regularly dine at The Atlantic Grill on West 64th Street. However, this experience was not up to what we expected. Our server was abrupt and did not smile once. Our food came in a timely manner but the quality was not good. My husband ordered fish special and I ordered Crab cakes. They both were underwhelming. So sorry to have to report this. We won't be going back for awhile."

  • "When we arrived a the restaurant, they seated us at a table that was unsteady. They tried to fix it, but the fix did not work. Instead of moving us to a new table, they tried to fix the table again. I had to insist they move us to another table. The manager should have moved us at the beginning and shouldn't be trying to seat people at such a table. Get a new table for pete sake."

  • "We have visited the Atlantic Grill on many special occasions. Graduations, Birthday's, Anniversaries or just to celebrate being together as a family. The Atlantic Grill never disappoints and we look forward to visiting again soon."

  • "Manu at the East-side Atlantic Grill is more to my taste, but the West side location is great for Lincoln Center events."

  • "I went to the Atlantic Grill with my family after a show on July 4th. Our server was wonderful, the food consistently good and the ambience energetic and at times a bit loud. I have been to the Atlantic Grill on both the east side and the west side. I prefer the location near Lincoln Center, as the upper east side restaurant is too noisy. However, the staff is always very pleasant and attentive, and the food consistently good. This is a solid, New York restaurant that is consistent with its food, and a great choice before/after a show at Lincoln Center, given its location. However, the prices are high, consistent with other New York City restaurants, so this is something to be aware of before making a reservation."

  • "I have been to the east side restaurant. This one was just as good. The food and service were very good. The noise level was very high. I was at a round table and it was difficult to hear everything from across the table. I would definitely return to this restaurant."

  • "past its prime and overpriced, this simple place continues to decline"

  • "You can always count on Atlantic Grill Lincoln Center to have good food good service and a nice feeling to the rooms which is welcoming. It manages to give speedy service without throwing the food at the customer, and its food is simple, well presented and tasty. I always go here when I want a reliable place near Lincoln Center."

  • "have eaten many times at the eastside Atlantic Grill. This was the first time I ate at the one at Lincoln Center. They are both excellemt/ Perhaps this one I enjoyed more because it is more spacious. Lunch was delicious. I would recommend the seafood salad."

  • "The bronzini which we both ordered was excellent and served with delicious vegetables."

  • "Went there for Father's Day brunch and it was great. We were seeing the show at lincoln center so we knew we had to be out on time and even with the crowd, the restaurant and waiter was very accomodating. The prixe fixe was more than you can ask for. The basket of muffins and mini croissants were a wonderful unexpected treat. Each of us loved what we chose, from eggs benedict to nicoise salad. Have been there before and find this restaurant to always offer quality food in a vibrant setting. Looking forward to our next time."

  • "Service was inattentive, the waitress repeatedly need to be summoned. They never checked me in on Open Table and didn't even realize I had a reservation, reporting me for not honoring my reservation. Meh!"

  • "Atlantic Grill is a lovely restaurant near Lincoln Center. The service was excellent and prompt, desserts rich, the seafood/fish dishes very fresh and beautifully presented, if so subtly-flavored as to be almost bland."

  • "a good successor to O'Neils which we used at the same site for years"

  • "Consistently one of the best Lincoln Center area restaurants.....excellent food at a fair price. A great pre-concert option!"

  • "Excellent fish, and service in this popular eatery. Noise level is high older folks and parties of 5 or more. Nice dessert selection. Can't go wrong in this well known seafood restaurant."

  • "The food and service were outstanding, and the staff members were highly sensitive to our having tickets to a concert at 7:30. But we did not feel rushed at all. The pacing was perfect."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "The bronzini was excellent, as was the grilled shrimp and scallops. However, we missed the potato and veggie that came with the grilled fish in previous visits. We also missed the small cup of soup that was given as a sample. They seem to be cutting back."

  • "Maitre'd curt about early arrival. Forgot to notify us at bar when an earlier table opened up. Wait staff was attentive, tried to recoup. But food not so tasty and portions small."

  • "Since we are seniors and my husband has a hearing disability, it was thoughtful of the Atlantic Grill to seat us in the uptown side of the restaurant. We were able to hear our friends without much difficulty and my husband did not feel left out of our conversations. The food was well prepared and really good. The staff was more than helpful and friendly. We had a 7:30 curtain at Lincoln Center and our food was prompt and service was excellent. All in all a really nice experience."

  • "Prix fixe lunch before Lincoln Center matinee. Prompt, non intrusive service, nice selections on menu, no urgency to turn the table though was getting pretty by the time we left. The salmon was superb as was the chocolate cake. Kudos to all for a start to finish great experience."

  • "With the many choices in the area, it was a disappointment. Menu has become minimal for lunch. Gone is the famous Atlantic grill salad. Note, the menu doesn't tell you, but you can get chicken or shrimp on any salad."
    Dined on 6/25/2014
  • "food was delicious and our waitress was excellent in serving us promptly, but appropriately since we had to get to Lincoln Center by a certain time. I am not sure why I had to be ushered to a table across the entire restaurant to the back room though, when there were plenty of empty tables in the front room for 2. just seemed very odd and unnecessary- kind of like we weren't good enough for the front room."

  • "we were on the 65th street side which is quieter and has greater table separation than the 64th st side. very pleasant room the food was fine although my miso cod portion was small and the forbidden rice wasn't served. raw clam and oyster appetizers were VG and properly opened. food was quite good, albeit a bit pricy no doubt due to closeness to Lincoln Center. Server was excellent."

  • "we had lunch and the menu was not diversified. it should be simple fair and not so elaborate. there was chicken and salad on the menu but they "ran out" (at 12 pm). the restaurant was empty on a saturday afternoon before matinee? Wonder why???. we were a party of four and the leaf on the table kept falling down hitting my legs. the waiter put it back in place 3 times. finally, he used masking tape disrupting our lunch. the restaurant is very convenient to lincoln center and it does have ambience."

  • "Although it's generally easier to gain access to a good brunch/lunch spot on summer weekends in Manhattan, even then, Atlantic Grill (Lincoln Center) can be quite busy. Excellent fish choices, especially the sushi rolls and nice varied breakfast offerings as well such as asparagus/brie omelets along with waffles and pancakes, are the draws. Popular with infant-toting parents though. After 2pm it really quiets down."

  • "You can count on great food and great service here."

  • "We came here pre-ballet performance. Service was good. It was nice and quiet (we sat in the middle area). The lunch menu surprisingly did not have a lot of seafood on it which was my biggest disappointment. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. Don't get the lobster and shrimp spring rolls - they are very greasy."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "I am very disappointed that the grills have decided to abandon their signature chopped salad. At two separate grills I have tried the new farmer's market salad and the beet salad. Neither lives up to the crispness, fresh taste and interest of the chopped salad. The farmer's market salad was like having the simplest green salad with a whiff of dressing; the beet salad with goat cheese was mostly overwhelmed with beets and very little goat cheese to be found. I am holding in reserve judgment on the decision to go to a small plate menu . . . Frankly, thus far it does not leave one with the feeling of well being -- a gourmet, flavorful and healthful meal -- that the previous menu of many years always provided."
