Not as good as usual experience. Have had many good dinners, this was brunch, service very spotty, very packed diing room, seemed understaffed, waited longer than should for somethings, and some food was colder than it should have been. There with guests from out of town. Could have been tighter all around.

Living in the neighborhood, we always enjoy lunch or dinner at Atlantic Grill. The food is always consistent - good quality, the wait staff is very helpful and friendly. We especially enjoy coming here on restaurant week when they have a prix fixe menu. As with most New York restaurants, it can get noisy and on one occasion we had to wait to be seated when it appeared that there were many open tables.

booked the reservation because I wanted a good / reliable meal in the neighborhood....half way between the west 80s and the east 60s noise level is reasonable so a conversation can be had while eating good food. only complaint was the salad wasn't completely washed....half way through it I had a mouthful of sandy grit...there went the appetizer!! That hasn't happened to me anywhere for a long while.....

I ate dinner with a friend and we dined on 6 small plates and shared everything. Kushi oysters were perfection. The best I have tasted in yrs! $3.95 each, very small but unbelievably delish. Shaved veggie salad, ceviche, grilled octopus were so good we talked about going back & eating them all over again. Mouth watering perfection! We spent almost $200 for 2 of us without alcohol or dessert but no regrets. Friendly efficient service. We went very early when it was empty.

It is an uphill battle, if the bread you are serving is stale (at least 2-3 days old) and you can't repair the image if the champagne grapes accompanying the desert have seen better days. The rest of the food was OK, but not wowing.

Overall enjoyed the meal, but most, if not all items we ordered lacked salt - outside of the outstanding sushi. The sauteed spinach and garlic side was way too heavy on the garlic and shallots and dry - not good at all. The buratta and tomato salad - was very fresh - but had no flavor - The salmon and cod were great. Dessert of the day was fair. Good service, beautiful location.

The service the last 2 times I have been there has left a lot to be desired. Had to ask for the waitress several times so we could order. My friend is somewhat disabeled and I had to try to pull out the table for her without any help from the staff. Had to search again for the waitress to get the check. This was an dearly 5:30 reservation on Saturday night--really no excuse--However, the food was excellent.

Made reservations on-line for a 5:15pm dinner & indicated under "notes", my husband's birthday. We got stuck in the tunnel for over 45 minutes, phoned Atlantic Grill about the delay. It was "No problem" for them. We sat in one of their cozy booths, delightfully side-by-side. Very plesant ambiance. Our waitress, Molly was perky, happy, welcoming, and professional. The service was excellent; with several assistances making sure we had cocktails, bread, water and refills. We chose the Prixe-fixe dinner. The cod was made to perfection. The ceasar salad was absolutely delicious, gormet, and ample. My chocloate cake desert was fantastic. My husband's sorbets came with a lovely birthday candle. Surprise! Atlantic Grill never disappoints.

Inconsistent place One waiter for large area two mini captains running around doing nothing. Sat 20 min then got water. Never offered drinks. Waiter had too many tables. We were 2 people but were billed for 3 main dishes. We are still dealing with American Express. Tempura shrimp appetizer ghastly. Misshapen. Sent back grilled shrimp becuz they plated a small awful darkened one. $28 and had to order a potato. A la carte One mini captain spent 15 minutes by our table talking to an employee Did I mention it wS our anniversary? Captain knew it but sat noisy 3 year old next to us anyway. Nice helper said she would bring a special cappacino for me. Implied it was gratis. Wouldn't you know we were billed. This happened before. Stay away

Menu was disappointing. Appeared quite limited and pricy for what was offered. I have eaten in several other NYC Atlantic Grill restaurants in the past 12 months and I seem to remember a more robust menu. The salmon dish was tasty but the portion was small. Salmon is not that expensive a fish. The portion was chinsy, as were the sides. Not good value for the money.

My third time there. And as before, the atmosphere is nice. It was a quiet Friday in August and figured give it another try. Close to home and want to like the restaurant. The service was good. The drinks good. The food mostly good except for the godawful fries with truffles that ruined the dinner. Lobster rolls just ok. And when you pay so much for a small filet, a side order should be included. The brazini was very good except the veggies looked and tasted like a frozen medley. The bread was delicious and generous. So a bit of an inconsistency with the side orders. To summarize, I like the place and would have given it 4 stars. But when I shell out $160 for 2 and not have dessert and coffee, I can do much better elsewhere.

Quiet, well spaced tables provide a lovely atmosphere for a casual meal before or after a performance across the street. The fish is well prepared as are the salads and vegetables. While nothing is "astonishing" or even "adventurous" - everything, is "polished and professional" and the meal was genuinely satisfying.

Attending a show at Lincoln center, meant we needed an early reservation. We were impressed at the friendliness of the lady who seated us, the manager and our waiter Andy who was professional and attentive.Despite being there so early , and there being only a smattering of other diners, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Service was fast but not rushed. We all ordered fish dishes and all were excellent, definite Asian influence . The sushi I ordered was wonderful and beautifully presented. We had time to sit at the bar for a bit and ther service there was very friendly. Other clients happy to chat also. We will definitely go back.
