Overcrowded - took 30 mins to get to the table. Food was alright, but nothing spectacular, definitely not worth the wait. We have ordered a bottle of white wine which was brought warm. The server offered to put it on ice without us saying anything, just by reading the change in facial expression as we tried it, so it begs to ask why did they make a mistake if they knew they were making it.

After dining at Atlantic Grill both East and West many times, I've come to the conclusion that they are victims of their success. On Saturday night I watched my party of 4 eat, as I waited for my lobster. And waited. Finally, I had to stop a server to express dismay and was told , "I'm sorry, the lobster took longer than I thought." Really? Is this not the major part of service in a restaurant? Was this the first lobster ever ordered at Atlantic Grill? Although she was very nice, and deducted the price of the no-show lobster, and although it did, ultimately arrive, it was rather awkward to be eating after every one else at the table. A similar situation happened last spring on the east side. I'm guessing that it happens quite a bit. Both venues are popular and possibly overbooked. However, from the point of view of the patron, price and service are out of whack here. There are too many other fine NYC dining spots to be bothered with one which can't get its act together. I used to be a big fan of both restaurants. No longer.

This visit to Atlantic Grill just wasn't as good as in the past. They now have a kale and brussel sprout salad. I had to ask for more dressing, because it was SO dry when it arrived at the table. Plus it's now half the size it used to be AND it's just as expensive. My fish special was quite good, and my dining partner's fish (the scallops) was very good. It was her first time at the restaurant.

The perfect beginning to a night at Lincoln Center. Service was exceptional; dinner was clean, crisp, fresh and tasty. The wine recommended by the waitress was outstanding and the dessert was to die for. Smooth entrance and exit with plenty of time to stroll to the performance. Returned for a night cap...was not disappointed...a restaurant experience that should not be missed. Truly talented waitress...made you feel like you were home.

Food still good, but not as good as the last time I was here. The ambiance is good, but service was a bit lax. Perhaps our waiter tired himself out with his massive up-selling of the menu when he first greeted us? He pushed so hard on the expensive raw seafood and specials of the day (without quoting prices) that we weren't surprised when he suggested the most expensive bottle of white wine on the menu. We sat chatting for about 45 minutes after being served before he returned to take our order.

We chose regular seafood so can't comment on Sushi offerings. Shrimp tempura was poorly cooked and the rest of the meal was just adequate. What spoiled the meal for us was the service or lack thereof. They had a large group nearby and our waiter was preoccupied with them. We eventually retrieved our wine bottle from the wine cooler and served ourselves. Once we did order the food was deliverd quickly. We thought it should have been better for the $$$.

I came here to celebrate an anniversary. The food was fantastic thanks to our server who gave us all the best pointers. But better than the great food and drinks was our server Molly who had an infectious energy to her that made the night awesome. Plus, she recommended the pumpkin dessert that she described as a moist pumpkin pie without the crust. She was spot-on with describing it and knowing exactly what I wanted.

I've been to Atlantic Grill a couple of times and have been impressed with the level of food and service. This time, however, both were severely lacking. The waitress seldom appeared at our table and was generally hard to locate. We ordered small plates instead of a full meal and both dishes were sub-par at best. The squash ravioli was cold (even though we were warned that the plate was hot) and the octopus was burnt and chewy. It was terribly disappointing, ruined a chance of making an impression on my date and overall a very expensive failure. I won't be going back again.

Had dinner on a Saturday night before going to a play at Lincoln Center. The food was good but it seems like a very rushed place with the wait staff literally running all over the place. They should cut down on the pace; I doubt they are really getting anything done much quicker. Also a very noisy place so one does not have a relaxing meal. We shared a sushi roll which was very good and we both had a sesame crusted tune which was also very good. We will have to try this place again when maybe the place isn't as busy.

We had a group of 8 and everyone thought the restaurant was great. The menu is a la carte and prices were reasonable for the area. We had tickets for Lincoln Center so it was a very convenient location for us. It's a huge space so the noise level was pretty "energetic", but we were able to hear each other across our round table.

It was crowded and we waited a short time for a table. We were seated in the 64th St side of the restaurant at 7pm. It was so noisy we asked to be moved to the 65th St side of the restaurant. There were no tables available. So we stayed & found our conversation was limited due to the noise. I had "Simply Grilled" Trout and my friend had Branzino. She too was very enthusiastic about it's preparation. We added fresh squeezed lemon juice and drizzled olive oil on both of these fish dishes & thought they were absolutely delicious. As it is in my neighborhood I eat here often and I can't say that I am always this delighted with the food. It is not always as noisy as it was this evening.

Since our last visit they seem to have a larger selection of small plates as well as a good selection of sushi and raw bar items. This means that you can enjoy several small plates (I was tempted, but did not) or a regular entree. We started with the raw oysters and shrimp tempura and spicy tuna sushi roll. The sushi was delicious with a nice topping. We both enjoyed the simply grilled trout with brussels sprouts as our side. (The side portion was definitely enough to share.) They were delicious. The location near Lincoln Center means that it will be quite crowded before curtain time. However, our waitress adeptly handled all her tables without rushing anyone and managing to get everyone out well before the 8 pm curtain.

We arrived slightly late, but phoned from cab to let them know. We were promptly seated at a very nice booth in the room facing 65th street which is less noisy and hectic. This is precisely what I requested on open table. Our server was very professional and friendly with very good knowledge of the menu. My chilled jumbo shrimp appetizer was just that, jumbo and delicious. My seared scallops were perfectly seared, in fact I took a photo which I rarely do because the char was beautiful! My wife and daughter were also very pleased with their selections. This is our new preferred pre Lincoln Center restaurant. I highly recommend this gracious venue.

When I arrived for my reservation no one was in the restaurant. I requested the small booth and was told it was only for 3 people. They sat a couple there and removed the third place setting. My friend and I were extremely annoyed and spoke to someone in charge who was not helpful at all. In addition we had to wait 1/2 hour to place our order but the waiter made up to us by apologizing profusely.
