  • "i think we are thru with the Sunday brunch at AG. the last few times the kitchen and service were slow and lackluster but pleasant. The servers are overwhelmed."

  • "I have been to this restaurant for a while and the food is still the same but the waiting time between each course is going up like crazy. It wasn't like this 6 months ago. So be aware of that..."

  • "Was here two weeks ago and had a great experience. This time the maître de was rude and unhappy when we asked to sit in the main dining area. He reluctantly sat us there. The food had to be returned twice. First time wrong order. Second time extremely rare as opposed to medium rare which was requested. My dining mates fish was cold since we had to wait 20 minutes for the correct order. No offer of something complimentary due to this.. Extremely disappointed. Will not return"

  • "We have visited the Atlantic Grill whenever we are in NYC but this time we felt the food and service wasn't quite up to par. Our sushi was more rice than anything else and entrees were delivered before the starter course dishes were cleared and my sea bass was tasteless although my wife's branzino was good. . The crumble dessert was more crumble than fruit. Service was also just ok but the servers changed mid dinner at about 9 30 which was odd. Prices were average."

  • "Service and wait staff are very accomodating. Food was very good and there was a very wide selection. Our table was just the right size for our party of seven."

  • "This restaurant is always fabulous. Great food and service even during restaurant week, when it can be quite hectic. They are also very sensitive to allergies and make sure my fish is not near shell fish."

  • "Love the selection of oysters!!! There were six to choose from and each was terrific.and And the new tasting of four sushis is delicious"

  • "Simple food done well, main dining area looked comfortable but crowded and noisy however as requested a quieter table off the main area for us - less attractive decor with subway tiled but quieter and comfortable. Excellent service."

  • "We have gone here many times, but I only when we are in that area of the City. In other words we wouldn't travel from Queens to go. This was the first time we had very young children with us (ages 2 and 3). I must say I was extremely impressed with the way they treat young, active children. They immediately gave them crayons and there own kids menu to color on, asked about high chairs etc. to make them comfortable, brought their meal right away (while we were just deciding, as they were hungry. OK you get the idea😄. Now as far as food. One of the few places I eat Sashimi as I feel I can trust it. Very fresh. The food in general is all fresh and good. No complaints but no raves either. We will however go back!!!!😍"

  • "Even though we had a reservation, we chose to eat at the bar. Our bartender, Nina, was amazing! She exuded a friendly demeanor and was very efficient as she served not only the bar patrons, but filled orders for the dining room as well. We had the lobster and shrimp spring rolls which are consistently amazing. Atlantic Grill is the only place in the city that I order them. The rest of the meal was excellent!"

  • "Atlantic Grill used to be our go to spot for a nice dinner. Unfortunately the menu has been scaled back -- the simply grilled fish no longer comes with potatoes. The fish we had was not good -- not anywhere near $30 per plate quality. When we asked the waiter about the changes he played it off as everything is the same. Waitstaff now wears jeans as well."

  • "The selection is not large but the quality of the food is outstanding and the service is attentive and prompt. The wine list could you a bit of buffing up: it is adequate but no more than that."

  • "On a gorgeous day, I ate at an outside table. 3rd Ave is busy but the noise level was fine. The restaurant tables inside looked quieter, but then, they weren't outside enjoying the lovely day. I had avocado soup - very delicious and creamy (although no cream added). Probably could've used a little lemon. Then cold salmon filet on cous-cous, perfectly done with a peach chutney. I had the lemon cake for dessert which was lovely. However the table next to me had the chocolate polenta which looked delicious. Ah well, next time."

  • "Went during Restaurant Week to try this restaurant for lunch. The menu presented nice choices for lunch. I tried chilled avocado soup for the first time... delicious! The main entrees were well presented and tasty. The wait staff was attentive, and courteous. To top it off the dessert was perfect to end a summer lunch. Plan to return soon."

  • "The food was marvelous..but we waited a long time for service. Our waiter was not in the restaurant and sfter we asked three other servers..they found someone. The food was marvelous..scottish salmon with amazing sauces..enjoyed every bite."

  • "Overpriced, lame...the food was tasteless. The Red Lobster would have been better..."

  • "My guest and I were both there, but seated in different areas. We waited for each other for 30 minutes. Arrogant, imperious maître D. Too many nice places to go, without attitude, and with much better food!"

  • "I went for a business lunch and could not have been more disappointed. Our server was friendly, but inattentive and somewhat forgetful. However worse than that was the VERY mediocre food. The quality of the food was bad and the preparation and presentation were no better. I ordered a seafood cobb salad and the both the shrimp and scallops were mushy and of poor quality and the tomatoes were wilted and droopy. Even the soft-drinks (soda/lemonade) were unacceptable."

  • "Loud ambiance. Good food. disappointing dessert."

  • "We went to Atlantic Grill for Restaurant Week and realized that it offered prix-fixe dinner menu ($35) all year long. Its menu was interesting Asian fusion with sushi, spring rolls, and dumplings in addition to regular seafood dishes. We ordered grilled swordfish and crispy skinned salmon. Both were very tender and delicious. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. She had allowed us to sit on the outdoor side table so that our dog could join us. But our waiter was forgetful. We asked for breads twice and he still did not bring them over so we finally just gave up."

  • "Atlantic Grill is a great place for us, also for out-of-town visitors of all kinds. There is a good diversity of menu choices, especially delicious brunch options. The atmosphere is energetic and happy, always full of cheerful diners complemented by a friendly staff. Because of the popularity of the restaurant and the number of people to take care of, sometimes the staff can be a bit overwhelmed and service slow. This was not an issue for us since we had plenty of time to relax but might be a concern for others."

  • "Highly recommend swordfish entree. Very very good. Steak well done was burned though. But then who orders steak well done anymore. The service wasn't attentive this time, so depends on the server. Overall, very solid for seafood. Decent wine list. Good ambiance. Busy but still can get a seat."

  • "Excellent food, great service and delicious! We were seated right away and were very confortable. Food was of very good quality and the kitchen was extremely accomodating to special diatery requests. A very delicious evening spent."

  • "Came with my boyfriend to celebrate, 9pm res on a Fri night. We weren't too impressed with the resto-week menu overall, but the waiter let us order the salmon cevice as a regular appetizer. Not bad, but nothing special. I'm a simple eater, ordered the grilled scallops with broccolini. So succulent, juicy, tender, and delicious. Perfect portion size. He ordered the swordfish with lump crabmeat/sweet potato. That was amazing as well (even for the picky eater that I am!) Great blend of flavors and consistency. Only negative comment (and not even that bad!) was that ourserver had no knowledge of the menu. We asked for suggestions and everything was just "okay" or "yeah that's good". Will def be back - that says a lot coming from me!"

  • "We were five, and were seated in one of the comfortable banquette tables. Waitress, Michelle, was immediately welcoming, attentive but not intrusive all during dinner. The food, as always was excellent. Stated with sushi and fresh oysters and clams. Their seafood is the best. Had Branzino, salmon, sea bass for main courses, chocolate cake for dessert..The martinis were made to perfection and the wine list was a nice range from affordable to expensive. The restaurant was bustling, and there were no empty tables on this Friday night. So, as expected, the noise level was uncomfortable. This seems to be the case with most restaurants."

  • "I dined at Atlantic Grill on the Upper East Side in honor of "Restaurant Week", this past Friday with two friends. The service was very good and the food options were yummy. I made a request that my tomato salad be replaced with the Quinoa sp? salad as I have tomato allergies. The chef was savvy in granting my request and I was one happy camper."

  • "I had the seafood cobb salad....proved to be a poor choice....one shrimp sliced horizontally into three pieces.....the shredded crab was watery...obviously from a can....overall a bad choice...."

  • "Excellent neighborhood choice--on East Side. Good service and always reliably good food. This restaurant feels upbeat and is always busy. A testament to it's well-deserved popularity"

  • "Went for Restaurant Week. Not only was the menu completely different from their online menu,( so we had to order from the main menu) but the portions were miniscule perhaps for the appetite of a bird. Their are better restaurants that give you larger portions and better value in the city."

  • "Terrific local restaurant with execpetional seafood specialties as well as a standard American menu"

  • "Other than the fact that they screwed up our reservation it was excellent. The confirmed our reservation by email and by phone twice and when we got there- nothing. Very embarrassing, very annoying"

  • "Atlantic Grill has an energetic ambiance, perhaps a bit challenging for people who have difficulty hearing. The crowd is mixed age ranges and is suitable for families with well-behaved children, this is not a children's restaurant per se. The fish is consistently good and preparations are flavorful and interesting. Raw oysters and sushi offering are excellent. Service is generally good, can be spotty when they are very busy. This is always a "go to" restaurant for me and my friends and family."
