Atlantic FishAbsolutely fantasticI can't believe I've waited this long to go to Atlantic Fish. Great experience from start to finish - we were seated quickly for our reservation, had a great and attentive waiter and the food was so delectable. I had the chilean sea bass and it was perfect; literally. So perfect that I"m hungry for it again now. My dining companion had the shrimp and scallop entree and said it was excellent. I don't think we left anything on our plates - very rare! Already looking forward to my next visit, which will be soon.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBest foodWe got a reservation for 9 pm which is later than we would normally eat but it was well worth the wait. The restaurant was very busy with people waiting for tables to empty. The food was delicious and it's easy to see why it is so popular. The staff were attentive and good humoured and we hope to return before our Boston holiday is over.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Say specialWent for early dinner at 5pm Mothers Day.
The choices were outstanding, we each had a different main, Halibut, Ahi Tuna and Chilean Sea Bass and each was superb.
The ambiance was great and our waiter was excellent, very knowlegible and courteous.
We will absolutely go there again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was an excellent choiceThis was an excellent choice for a Mother's Day dinner. Food and service were terrific!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place. One of our favorites.Great place. One of our favorites. The food is always terrific, and they handle gluten free requirements without issue.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers DayThe Atlantic Fish is one of our favorites when we head into Copley. Our meals where once again excellent.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Mother's Day Ever!Mother's Day seemed like the the perfect occasion to dine at the Atlantic Fish. We also wanted to help out businesses affected by the senseless Marathon bombings and keep them Boston Strong. The decor of the Atlantic Fish is beautiful; nautical design with the craftmanship of a elegant yacht. However, it is the food and service that stands out. The seafood selection is wonderful and the variety of wine and cocktails is outstanding. Requested Shrimp Fra Diavolo (not on the menu as a standalone item, they do have a seafood Fra Diavolo) and it was delicious...light and spicy. My family truly enjoyed their meals of baked haddock in garlic bread crumbs and crab cakes. Best, however, was Shawn our waiter...outstanding service! Will be back soon.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat nightWe were visiting from London and had a great night. The food was excellent and the waiter was great, would most definetly recommend this restaurant5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLove itAtlantic fish has become my go-to when going out in the Back Bay/Boylston street area. They have a number of things going for them. Great food. Good wine list. Very helpful and attentive staff. I've never had a bad experience here.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMgood foodi come once a year for mothers day have always had a good dining experience.
service is excellcent5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved, loved, loved this place.Loved, loved, loved this place. You feel like a welcome guest here. The seafood is incredibly fresh- so much so that you can smell the sea when the oysters come to the table. Presentation is elegant an enticing, and every item was brought out at a good pace. I never felt rushed. Also, my boyfriend and I shared our entree, and the dish was split in the kitchen without our asking (yay!) and our food arrived at the table looking gorgeous and mouth watering. This place cares about the details. Recommended dishes: oysters, lobster cocktail, Oysters Rockfeller (the best you will ever have!), Crab crusted Haddock, and finish with the Ridiculous Brownie Sundae- definitely big enough for 2.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Fresh SeafoodI ordered the North Atlantic Salmon, pan seared, with a side of baked potato and asparagus. The fish tasted very fresh and was perfectly seasoned. The salmon was melt in your mouth good! The baked potato was soft and the asparagus actually was steamed quiet nicely. I noticed the stalks were very thick and flavorful. For the appetizer, I ordered the Katama Bay Fresh Oysters. I ordered a glass of the 2010 Riesling, "Saint M" Pfalz to go with my meal, which was very good, minus the serving size, which was a little pricey. For desert, we ordered the creme brulee with berries, which was very good as well.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat fishHalibut and asparagus was great. Drinks were too sweet , so sent back a round and our waiter was happy to get us something else.
All the staff were attentive and into customer service. Will definitely always go back when in Boston.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat fish! The food was excellent! We both had the sea bass with the lobster ravioli and it was all delicious. Service was great as well. My only complaint is that the noise level was a little loud for our taste, but overall great restaurant!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food at Atlantic FishThe food at Atlantic Fish is always consistently excellent. I had blackened tuna and it was delicious. The atmosphere is lively without being too loud. The location is excellent. It is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, LOUD, crowdedVery good, fresh seafood. I had the blackened mahi mahi, which was perfectly prepared. Crisp, black, and spicy outside, tender and fresh on the inside. Cocktail was good, wine by the glass menu was pretty extensive.
The restaurant loses a few points that really are only a factor of its popularity -- went at 7:45 on a Wednesday night, and it was packed and loud. We were crammed into a small table near a high-traffic area, but you can't really fault a restaurant for trying to maximize their seating capacity.
In a city full of great seafood restaurants, this is a standout.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a terrific experience. It was a terrific experience. The fish was fresh as can be, the preparation was excellent and the service was excellent. I highly recommend Atlantic Fish.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and serviceThe fish is fresh daily and creatively prepared. The bread is piping hot and fluffy, out of the oven. I had the swordfish au poivre. My dinner companion had the sesame seared tuna. Both were excellent. And our waitress Caroline took the initiative to provide us with Creme Brûlée on the house to celebrate our roommate reunion. A lovely experience all around.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a five-star eveningThe Atlantic Fish Company provides a dining venue where service is paramount and the quality of their food is always amazing. Our server, Michelle, provided us with superior customer service and great suggestions.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and great service!Love tie restaurant. We go whenever we are in Boston..5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMService was amazingGreat waitress and the fish we had was amazing... chicken was very dry.... my fault for getting chicken at a seafood spot!!!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Boston Fish PlaceI've been to Atlantic Fish several times. It is consistently excellent, with wonderful fish, shellfish, and really good vegetables as well. the whole experience is pretty special and the service is very good -- although the servers seem to always recommend the more expensive things when asked....my only complaint. Their recommendations turns out well in any case. I especially enjoyed the corn cakes as one of my sides....5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent SwordfishOne of my favorite restaurants in the city. I get the swordfish and the salmon there. Always great service, seating outside is fabulous and great people watching on Boylston Street. Beer on tap is not the best selection, but you're not going there for the beer, you're going for the seafood.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMperfect dining experiencePerfect dining experience. Worldwide wine list, right price compared to quality and especially service. Reservation is essential.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely love Atlantic FishOur favorite restaurant in the entire city and beyond. . . .4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAtlantic Fish Company hasAtlantic Fish Company has just reopened after the Marathon explosions. It has a great energetic atmosphere. Locals and tourist mingle. On warmer days windows and doors open to outside creating a continuity with outdoors. Fresh well prepared seafood.
Crab-filled crab cake. Great clam chowder. Terrific fresh warm lobster. Outstanding waiter- attentive and knowledgeable. We were celebrating a birthday and dessert was complimentary for birthday celebrant. Atlantic Fish Company has been terrific since the early 1980's when I first came here. Keep up the high quality and excellence. We wish You many more years of success. All seafood preparations are excellent.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh, well-prepared seafoodWe went to Atlantic Fish 2 weeks after the Marathon Bombings to support the Boylston restaurants and because we'd always meant to try it. The fish was outstanding, extremely fresh and well prepared. I had the seafood fra diavalo, which had loads of mussels, shrimp, scallops and sword fish. My husband, who loves mussels, tried some of mine and thought he had never had better - they were clean and so tender. He had the pan seared sea bass with lobster ravioli and loved it. We will definitely be back.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMI really enjoyed AtlanticI really enjoyed Atlantic Fish. They just reopened after the Marathon bombing, and their food and service was spot-on.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMTHIS WAS A SPECIAL DAY INTHIS WAS A SPECIAL DAY IN BOSTON TO SUPPORT THE VENDORS ON BOYLSTON STREET, SO THIS WAS NOT YOUR TYPICAL GOING OUT TO LUNCH/BRUNCH SUNDAY. OVERALL THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD, THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND WE REALLY ENJOYED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful. Lived up to allWonderful. Lived up to all the positive things we have heard about this wonderful dining experience. We were not rushed and it could not have been better.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Restaurant in the Back Bay!This is hands down the best restaurant in the Back Bay.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBOSTON STRONGThis place has always been one our favorites, but our visit this time had special significance. On Marathon Day, the second bomb had gone off just beyond the sidewalk seating area. Huge crowds gathered along Boylston St. this day, the first weekend since the crime scene area had reopened, and the first day back in business for Atlantic Fish. As always, the food was great, the service impeccable.
A freshly plante tree, framed by repaired and replaced cobble stones marked the spot. Masses of people respectfully stopped, stared, prayed and then moved on. As has Boston.
BOSTON STRONG!!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was great, foodEverything was great, food and service get 5 stars4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThis must be an automatedThis must be an automated questionnaire from OpenTable regarding our dining experiences at Atlantic Fish on Boylston Street in Boston. Tragically, it never opened last week because one of the marathon bombs went off right outside its front door. Hope everybody there is OK so we can visit another time....Bernard KlemTrumbull CT4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMUnfortunately we were unableUnfortunately we were unable to dine here due to the bombing
We will try next time in Boston,4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I have beenMy husband and I have been having our annual Boston Marathon date night at Atlantic Fish for the past few years.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMUnfortunately we were unableUnfortunately we were unable to have dinner at the Atlantic Fish Co. We ran the Boston marathon and were looking forward to dinner later that evening but could not for obvious reasons. We are back in Richmond, VA and continue to pray for the people of Boston, particularly for the victims and their families. We plan to return next April, run the greatest marathon in the world and hopefully have dinner later that evening at the Atlantic Fish Co.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great, service wasFood was great, service was very good, overall a great brunch. Because of the Marathon weekend they were very busy so the kitchen was a little slow. We have been numerous times for brunch, always a winner.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent place to celebrateFish doesn't get much better than this. Every dish was delicious, including the vegetable sides. The menu is diverse and the wine list is excellent with many choices at all price points (plus many by the glass if you prefer). This is not the place to go for a cheap meal, but it is priced well for the quality of the meal. Highly recommended when you are looking for something a little bit special in downtown Boston.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood restaurant...conGreat neighborhood restaurant...consistently good food, excellent fish. We were there Sunday before the Marathon and even with the overwhelming crowds, my reservation was honored on time, our service was prompt, cheerful and efficient.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible FishI recommend Atlantic Fish. My wife and I went Boston Marathon weekend. The Chilean Sea Bass was one of the best pieces of fish I have ever eaten.
I strongly recommend Atlantic fish for seafood lovers. The restaurant had a vibrant feel.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant was very crowdedThe restaurant was very crowded and very loud, but we were there on the Saturday night before the Boston Marathon. We had reservations, and they seated us immediately. The pan seared sea bass was excellent, as was the grilled salmon. The bacon wrapped scallops were also very good. Service was excellent, considering how crowded the restaurant was. We'd definitely go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a Saturday 6PM reservationI had a Saturday 6PM reservation and was seated immediately. I was even given a choice of where to sit. Freshest seafood, the best Bloody Mary's made the way I request. Had the crabcake sandwich with delicious sweet potato fries. Suggest leave out the tomato and make crabcake fuller. G had fried oysters, fresh and light. Appreciated brunch menu on Sunday, too! Liked the basket of fresh breads with clamchowder yummy appetizer. Vibrant young scene...comfortable for all ages...no crying kids, either.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was ok... We had theFood was ok... We had the lobster with mussels and steamers. We were promptly seated even though we were a few minutes late thanks to the Green Line. I had asked that we be seated out of the traffic flow and we were. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. My Sea Bass special was very good as was my date's steak, which was a perfect "pink" as requested. Very nice setting if you like beautiful wood and I do.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went because the clam chowderWe went because the clam chowder was supposed to be delicious, and we were not disappointed.
