sausage which was excellent and I ordered ravioli with sea scallops which were delightful. The
bar area was crowded with what appeared to be a large group of loud businessmen such that if
one was seeking a romantic evening dining experience, it would not have been at Assagio.
Would we return? We had out of town guests and they thoroughly enjoyed dinner. There were six of us, 3 had pasta and 3 Copper River salmon, one of their nightly specials. Every dish was incredible. We entertain often and Assaggios is a restaurant we always leave fully satisfied. The service was exceptional and owner/chef Mauro is a wonderful host. Just a true traditional Italian meal. And being Italian born in raised in NY this is the
best compliment to a restaurant.

Our party had a chicken special, the lamb shank, salmon, and beef. The appetizers were OK but we were trying something new so probably not to our taste. The service was unparalled. We were greeted and seated right away even though we were 30 minutes early. The waiter was very knowledgable and friendly. The food was served hot and in very short order. The owner came by the table several times and chatted and made us feel welcome. A bonus was there was parking right next door ($6.00 for the evening). We have stayed at Hotel Andra on several occasions but have never been to Assiaggo. Well, we will definitely be back. The place has a great energy and the staff are all very friendly. The food was excellent. We wanted to try something close to the hotel. Assaggio lived up to its reputation. We had excellent service, the food was delicious and came quickly, the host recommended a local Washington state wine, and our experience was fantastic. Started w/carpaccio & grilled portobellos. Both were excellent. Then shared the gnocchi in brown butter. A dream, absolutely fantastic. For mains we had the lamb shank & pork chop. Both were really great, cooked perfectly, tender, and sauces that were amazing. For dessert, we shut it down with the tiramisu. One of the better ones around. This is a very quaint restaurant with delicious Italian food. Seems to be a favorite with the locales. I had a delicious risotto the first time and a lovely seafood dish the second.
