"Another fine dining experience from an awesome restauranteur, Dennis Max. We love Max's Grill and Max's Harvest and for those of you who rememeber, Maxaluna and Prezzos were big favorites of ours in the 90's. Assaggio reminded us of Prezzos, especially the roasted garlic to begin the evening. Everything we ate was really fantastic. The hot pepper Milanese was amazing as was the lobster Tagliatelle. The rigatoni bologense was wonderful as well. My wife and I celebrated our 5th anniversary that evening and truly enjoyed our dinner. We would highly recommend Assaggio del Forno!"

"one of the worst meals I have had in a restaurant. The Caesar salad was dry and very bland. The pork shoulder(two of us) was completely tasteless...like shoe leather. the polenta was OK; but watery. The black spaghetti and clams were fair, but the clams were the smallest I have ever seen. The person who brought the meals didn't know which plate went where. The waiter did try hard and except for not bringing milk(after being asked) for coffee was good. Incidentally, my neighbor had the same reaction. I definitely will not go back and will not tell anyone to try it."

"We thoroughly enjoyed this new neighborhood gem. The ambience is perfect, informal, spacious, great dining choices from small plates to full meals! And the snapper in paper was amazing! I was prepared to be bored by this 'healthy' choice, but it was delicious."

"I really enjoyed my meal. The service was great. The food we ordered was excellent. I recommend the Chopped Antipasti Salad, white beans and escarole and the Branzino. The Branzino was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and succulent and tender on the inside.
When they first opened, I tried their pizza. It was awful. I understand that they have changed it, but I didn't want to try again. I will definitely return."

"The decor is fine and concept interesting, but there are a few problems: the food is inconsistent, with a few very tasty dishes and many tasteless ones that seem as if they came out of a supermarket frozen food cabinet and a microwave; the servers consistently upsell and then look disappointed if their pitch does not yield results. They start out telling customers that most people would need two entrees, which is absolutely not true, especially since a few of the entrees give a choice between a large and small size. The appetizers are good, but for the cheese and meats, the portions are a bit skimpy. Our coffee was not refilled although we took our time finishing. The restaurant was not completely full, although it did get busy."

"The italian panini was very good as was the prosciutto pizza. However, it is very hard to find healthly choices on the lunch menu. Other than caesar salad (which isn't healthy) the only vinaigrette they had was balsamic. They couldn't even offer oil and red vinegar as a substitute. In fact they said no substitute dressings were allowed on salads. This is absurd - except they don't have any substitutes."
