I'm not sure why we keep going back to this restaurant. If West Cobb had similar atmosphere (bar/restaurant type) , I'm fairly certain that this Aspens would go out of business...

When your family of four goes to Aspens for brunch on Sunday, it is often a special occasion. It's someone's birthday, Father's or Mother's Day, or maybe just some family or good friends are in town. Why? Because it should be good. When we left after last Sunday's brunch, the consensus was... We paid $110 bucks for that? The carving/omelette station and the cheese grits were good. The breakfast food was either burnt or cold. Eggs and French toast ice cold. Sausage and bacon burnt. And on dinnner side... Everything was very bland and soggy. The desserts were okay. Our waiter had two tables.. because it was not very crowded at noon. Just not a good experience. Have loved it in past, this time... Awful.

A few months ago, we were at the Peach Mac store, and want dot go to dinner. We found Aspens and had a nice dinner. This week, a friend we had told about our evening at Aspens suggested we go Saturday night. We were quite looking forward to it. The atmosphere is nice. The highlight is the steaks. The problem is the weight staff. They just didn't seem to understand their role in contributing to a fine dining experience. It's not just that he was slow, he just didn't know how to foster a fine dining experience.

We can count on Aspen's West Cobb for a consistently great meal in a predictable setting. This time is was my wife's birthday and we brought another couple along to celebrate. Food was great, as was the wine and service. It's our West Cobb go-to spot.

15 min before server came to table. After bottle of wine ordered and salad arrived we ordered dinner. 40 min later still no steaks. How long does it take to cook steaks med. rare? Server blamed chef. The table that was seated 20 min after us recieved meal way before we did. The salad had brown lettuce. Broccoli side was so salty it couldn't be eaten. Spinach was fine. Steaks were great. Overall experience poor. We now remember why we haven't been there in over a year. It was not worth the $130 we paid. We will go into atlanta for our steak dinners from now on. We now know why it was so empty on a Saturday night.

I have eaten at Aspens West Cobb a few times. It's always a last minute decision when I happen to be in the area, and I forget how much I like the decor, the perfectly satisfying service, and the food. It looks & feels less like a chain restaurant than any other restaurant--except Houston's. The servers are very well trained and do a marvelous job anticipating your needs and being nearby as needed without hovering or being annoying. I'm always happy when I leave--I feel well fed, relaxed, and not price gauged.

The staff just watched and continued talking to each other as I struggled to open door in and out while pushing my wife in a wheelchair. The steak was barely warm when it arrived at my table after an extremely long wait, no manager ever approached our table after I told waitress who apologized for the kitchen being backed up. Will never go back

Elegant decor with great food. The portions were nicely sized with very fresh food. I had the trout and the skin was crisped to perfection. The smoked Gouda grits that accompanied the fish were savory and the sauteed spinach was cooked perfectly. The lemon beurre blanc sauce tied the meal together nicely. My husband had the beef stroganoff and enjoyed this as well. The kids had cheeseburgers from the kids menu. They were not the preformed patties most restaurants try to serve to children. Their burgers were served with fresh cut potato fries. All in all a really nice meal without the pretentiousness of the downtown ATL restaurants.

It was my husband's 60th birthday Friday, Sept. 19th and we were excited to celebrate his birthday at Aspen's. He ordered a steak, after all it is a steak place......and they were out of that practically steak. A bit of a disappointment. My husband was very nice and ordered a different type of meat, but he should not have had to do that seeing as it is a steak place. Dinner was good, but just a bit disappointing......

This was my fourth visit to Aspens. The ambiance is nice and probably the "place to go" for a date west of Marietta. However, I have found the pricing a bit high. As with any family style steak house, you are buying a la cart and it can add up quickly. It wouldn't be a problem if the food was phenomenal as Chop's or Bones or even Ruth's Chris. The service was slow. I was also a bit upset that I ordered a glass of wine with my app that didn't arrive until after we were finished. My Tenderloin Meatloaf was marginal at best and my wife's $38 filet was pathetic. I could also hear a good bit of kitchen noise (including cursing). Quite honestly, I'd rather go to Ted's or the Macaroni Grill right next door.

Once again you did not disappoint. From the greet to the meat we had a great time. Only thing is my aunt had a slightly undercooked steak but she got over it.

We hadn't been to Aspens for a year or more so when my husband wanted to go there for his birthday I was totally on board. Unfortunately I'm sorry to say Aspens is not as good as they used to be. Aspens used to feel like a Buckhead fine dining restaurant dropped into boring West Coob. Back then the service was smooth, attentive and knowledgable about every item on the menu, the food was exciting and the place was buzzing. This time the service was just ok, the food good but not exceptional and the dining room was mostly empty. It's time to bring back the changing menu, tighten up the server training and maybe spruce up the furniture. Until then we'll just keeping heading into Atlanta for fine dining.

Aspens West Cobb is a gem. We are indeed fortunate to have such a quality restaurant in the neighborhood. The food, service, and ambience are exceptional. Their brunch is not to be missed. The menu offers something for everyone. However it is dinner at Aspens that we enjoy most. The rustic charm and open fireplace sets the tone. Even in warm weather we request a table near the fireplace, then relax and enjoy the best dinner in west Cobb.

Consistently a great choice for a night out. Food has always been excellent, both in quality and presentation. I have written several reviews on Aspen's before and each is a carbon copy of the one before. If you want a great meal in an attractive, relaxed setting, head for Aspen's West Cobb. We particularly like the prime rib, although the other choices have always been just as satisfying. Service is prompt and professional. Management is always present and involved to insure your satisfaction.

This is the first time I have to give Aspen's just an okay review. Always in the past I have rated them excellent. The food this time was mediocre. Two in our party ordered the fish special, which really wasn't good at all. Looked like tilapia- not the redfish that they said it was. It was fishy and overcooked with nothing accompanying it that improved it at all. Pretty disappointing this time. We'll certainly go again, maybe just a bad night - hope it's back on par next time.

We went to Aspen's for my wife's birthday this year. They had pretty good cocktails, though they did struggle to get them out for some reason. I still rated them highly for service as it seemed like a momentary issue, not a systemic one. The food was good, and prepared properly. The service to our table was good and our waitress was attentive. I was a big fan of the wine list and we enjoyed a bottle for the table. The bread was warm and fresh and they brought me regular butter instead of their specialty butter. They provided a birthday dessert for my wife and we got an additional dessert for the table. All in all, a great time. It was strangely slow on Sunday night but that might just be a product of school starting that week.

I am new to the area and my wife and I were celebrating our 6th anniversary. My neighbors all raved about Aspens, so we tried it. There was no bad incident, but overall, not impressed. My wife and I both ordered medium rare prime rib. It was almost raw, next to impossible to cut or even chew. Also, my baked potato was barely warm. My wife had a mojo ($8) and it was 90% ice. For a meal that was over $110 for two people (early bird special price), I expect more. The people were friendly but service was slow even with an almost empty restaurant.

Aspen's is a great restaurant with a kitchen that is able to put out food that is very consistent and good. This is the place to go when you don't want any surprises . They have a nice menu, enough choices from different genres without being overwhelming, food is always good, from appetizers to salads to entrees to desserts. Nice wine list, nice bar, fine for families with children, good ambience. I would say that it is close to a Houston's or J. Alexanders in feel. Our last meal there included fresh oysters, mussels, salad, filet, lobster tail and crab cake . The steak was excellent and cooked to our specifications. The wait staff is always very accommodating. A great place to take guests. They won't let you down.

I love this place and go there often for brunch. The Service is excellent and the food is very good. My only two comments about my experience this time around are as follows: 1) The fireplace was on....it was sweltering hot in the dining room. I don't think there's a need for a fireplace to be on blast when it's 90 degrees outside. 2) I asked for well done red meat at the bar and the piece I got wasn't done at all. It was also cold. The chicken fingers were also cold. Other than, that everything was great. We will be back again, as usual. Thank you!

The hamburger, that was requested medium well was obvious black on one side and you could not cut it with a knife. Maybe the cook misunderstood the order. The second one we received was better. Aspens took a special sauce that was used on the hamburger off the menu which was a big disappointment.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the food - we have been going to Aspens for Easter brunch for several years and decided to try it for Father's Day - the bill was $60 and with tip came to $80 for two people. The quality of the food has definitley gone down since the last time we had Sunday brunch. The food was either cold - or tasteless - was not worth $30 a person. I don't think we will be back for Sunday brunch any time soon.

I took my husband and his daughter here for brunch on Father's Day and was disappointed. The dinners I have had at Aspen have been excellent, but the selections on the brunch buffet were mediocre. Our waiter was slow and the price of the buffet was higher than usual because it was Father's Day. I won't be going back for brunch... But it's a good streak house for dinner.

The idea of Aspens is much better than the reality. I don't know why we keep forgetting how terrible their brunch really is. Blah food (same items for 3 separate brunches) and the trays are often empty. Many people just standing around with plates waiting on food to be refilled. Also - the tables are set up so close to each other that you truly have difficulty getting out of your seat to walk to buffet. You are trapped by other chairs/people. Many people were complaining about seating today....and the food. For the price you are paying...they need to serve more than scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy....and a few other blah dishes. On another note - when we have eaten at this restaurant for menu ordering....it has been much better.

We enjoy eating dinner at Aspens, but brunch was quite a disappointment. The only food that I had that was really good was the muffins they brought to the table. None of the three of us found anything on the brunch tables to be really good; it was all very mediocre. This was very disappointing since it was our Father's Day celebration. We'll go back for dinner, but not for brunch.
