Aspen Grille was the first place my new wife and I went for dinner on our honeymoon in Myrtle Beach SC. The food was amazing, everything from the crab cake starter to the creme brulee for dessert. I was our first night so we decided to spoiled ourselves. The bride had a wonderful surf and turf cooked perfectly while I decided to try lamb for the first time and it was amazing! Definately a must visit.

A lovely place with outstanding cuisine. We had the daily specials - Snapper and Grouper - and they were prepared beautifully. A Fried Green Tomato with crab meat appetizer was yummy. But the highlight of the meal was dessert - Blueberry Bread Pudding served with a blueberry compote, with salted caramel ice cream and finished with whipped cream - one of the best desserts I've ever had. Our server was attentive and helpful. We'll definitely go back the next time we are in MB!

This restaurant is one of the highest rated in Myrtle Beach. The wine list is great. The escargot lacked flavor and the accompanying toast was over done. My date's pork was over cooked, a bit dry, and needed more flavor. My scallops were delicious. The chef spoke to other patrons and mingled with the bar tender but never spoke to us despite the fact we ordered 3 courses. I was hoping for a higher quality of food than I can find in my small town but it was about the same. Not great, not terrible. Good date restaurant unless you are a real foodie. Honestly, probably some of the best in Myrtle. If you are looking for something similar in price, service, and ambiance try the Melting Pot.

As one of our favorite dining venues in Myrtle Beach, we were not disappointed. The evening piano music along with the excellent wait staff and hostess made a delicious meal another memorable occasion. We were saddened by the news of the recent passing of the general manager, Wayne Talton to the reoccurrence of cancer. But the experience and meal were no less wonderful. We'll be back!

Started off with the oyster appetizer which was great. My wife really enjoyed her flounder with a cheddar cheese grit cake, and my Braised short ribs were soo...o tender and had a great flavor. Dessert was blueberry pudding with peaches and salted caramel ice cream...yummy!! The Wednesday entertainment was also very nice. Will definitely be back, when we return to MB. Can highly recommend. We both enjoyed our Wednesday evening at the Aspen Grill.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Aspen Grille. We couldn't believe we were in Myrtle Beach! It rivals some of the best restaurants we've been to (in Washington, DC, Charleston, SC, New York, and London.) Wonderful French onion soup, arugula with peach & fresh mozzarella salad, and rack of lamb with a decadent peppercorn sauce (although that's all we had. I'm sure anything on their menu is the best you'll find.)

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary on August 27th. I chose Aspen Grille because of the local cusine but also because of the Jazz music on Wednesday evenings. The female jazz singer was outstanding. The fried green tomatoes were crisp and perfectly seasoned. The peach salad was amazing. I had the scallops and savored every bite. My husband had the shrimp and grits. The grits were in a patty form which was different but still very delicious.

My wife and I recently vacationed in Myrtle Beach. One of the highlights of our trip was dinner at the Aspen Grille. I had googled restaurants in the area to see which ones had the best reviews. I can see now why this one ranked near the top. Don't let the exterior fool you even though it is very nice. The restaurant is located in a small strip shopping center. Once inside we were impressed by the elegant decor and immediately greeted. We were early for our reservations so we were shown to the bar and greeted by the bartender who was very entertaining. We were seated early and our very knowledgable server discussed the specials. From our appetizer to dessert our food was sensational. This is upscale fine dining at its best.

This was our second visit to Aspen Grille and we were not disappointed. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is really nice. The service and food couldn't be any better. We were from out of town and it was our last night stay in the area. We were looking for a nicer place to dine. Upon searching the net and weighing our options (food choices, quality, atmosphere and price) we made this our decision. It was a great decision! We ordered NY strip and the meat was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were cooked with a slight snap to them. Not too firm and not mushy but perfect. The only reason I did not give service 5 stars is we could have used an extra visit to refill our water glasses. We were visited a second time but once more would have made it perfect. We dined on a Friday and was surprised by live piano playing(electric), not sure if this is always the case. The playing was at a pleasant level.

Service(superb), atmosphere (relaxed and accommodating), fantastic food (presentation, fresh ingredients, temperature, taste). Staff were friendly and informed about their menu. Wait staff provided excellent service the entire visit. Started with fried green tomato topped with crab - best preparation of this item I have ever experienced. We had Wahoo (with crab) and the larger scallop dinner - both were top notch. As to dessert, you must have the Key Lime cake or the flour less chocolate cake - both are perfect ways to end your meal. We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for almost 20 years - by far Aspen Grille is the best local restaurant we have found to date.

Everything was just as expected. Food was great, ambience was perfect and service was good. The only small blemish was that it took an extremely long time to clear our plates from the table. Other than that, everything was spectacular. We were even surprised that though we sat there for three hours talking, we felt no pressure to leave. A refreshing experience at a great restaurant.

The appetizers (escargot and warm goat cheese salad) and dessert were extremely delicious. The scallops entree was neither good nor bad. For the price, we expected better. The risotto and fried spinach, which accompanied the scallops, was fabulous. The surf and turf and lamb chops were very good. We were seated at a table and a very noisy group was seated right next to us...less than a foot from our table. The server couldn't even fit between the tables because they were so close. At one point I couldn't even hear my son speaking to me because of our noisy neighbors. The booths have more space and privacy than the tables. The tables should really be spread out more. Our server was excellent.

Simply outanding from the salad right through the main course. The wine list is exceptional with excellent diversification, the drink list is creative and the service is first rate. This isn't the place for a junk food junkie or someone that is into deep fried fatty foods. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you receive at the Aspen Grill, and well worth the trip. I will go back again this week for dinner. Karl g

We found this restaurant in a brochure provided by our resort. My husband & I were on the last night of our honeymoon vacation & were looking for a nice fine dining restaurant to celebrate. The reviews looked good so we decided to try it. We were absolutely floored! The service was great: waitress was informative & attentive, & the hostess greeted us right away. The food was phenomenal! I got a New York strip, which was cooked to a perfect medium rare & my husband got the shrimp & grits, which he enjoyed immensely. The desserts (blueberry bread pudding & German chocolate brownie) were also delicious. Yes, you will need to bring your pocketbook as this is considered a fine dining restaurant; however, it was worth every penny we spent.

We had some really great local fish, excellent preparation and presentation. Fried green tomatoes are outstanding. Wine list very nice, with some good choices, and affordable.
