Diner Reviews
  • "Excellent Service and the Food is simply Awsome!! Celebrated my wifes 50th and could not have picked a better restaurant."

  • "Probably one of the WORST dining experiences in a long time. This used to be a favorite when it was on Sears Ave. Two out of Three Entrees had to be sent back. The Filet, ordered medium rare, arrived tough and a dark grey color- didn't even look like beef - inexcusable!! The Tofu was flavorless and arrived with the same sauce served with the fish special of the day. Atmosphere is dull and needs major updating. Overall, not worth a visit."

  • "We were seated in the chef's room, which was very quiet, as requested, for a special occasion. Had a great time! Timing of service was perfect, allowing us time to visit and not feel rushed. Had the 5 course meals, way too much food but a wonderful mix of flavors. Next time I'd order only two 5 course meals for three people."

  • "My wife and I came to Asiatique for a special date night. As she expressed, "It was in the top 3 meals I've ever eaten." I agree with that to say the least. The staff was fantastic, the food was superb… the chef also gave samples from the kitchen. We will definitely tell our friends, and we will definitely be returning for our next special date night."

  • "My parents and I had an amazing time! We went early because we had two kids & ended up being there for 2.5 hours. The five course meal was great! The drinks were great & the kids did amazing as well. Would definitely recommend. "

  • "Asiatique is one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville."

  • "My family took a chance on Asiatique for our Mother's Day meal. None of us had ever dined there before and we were not sure what to expect. I am delighted to say we were more than pleasantly surprised. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. This was perhaps one of the best Mother's Day brunch experiences we have enjoyed in a long time. We will definitely come back and will heartily recommend Asiatique to our friends."

  • "There were few Asian dishes and many Indian dishes. The omelette station only had 7 ingredients to pick from; cheese, 2 kinds of onions, ham, bacon, red peppers and crab. The crab omelette was good, but if there were more basic ingredients, like mushroom and tomatoes, it would have been delicious. The service was subpar. I had to ask twice for cream for my Earl Grey (they did not have hot green tea) and by the time it came I was pretty much done with my cup. The shirt front of the server was covered in grease stains and he had what looked like a bar's stamp on his wrist. Gross being served by someone who hasn't bathed. The desserts were gross; fried banana spring roll and coconut panna cotta that separated. The sweet corn cookies were good."

  • "they had a set menu for derby and it did not disappoint. I got my favorite pan seared salmon with salad appetizer and dessert....my out of town guest were very impressed!"
    Dined on 5/2/2014
  • "We were one of the first ones in from the Derby. After others arrived, service slowed to a crawl. It took around 45 minutes to get our entrees after the second course. We got constant assurances that our food was on its way when that was obviously untrue. The noise level was way too high. Our neighboring table was drunk and loud which also detracted. One of our party ordered coffee with dessert that never arrived. You have one of our favorite restaurants but that is being rethought. We came after the Oaks last year and had a similar experience. If you can handle that kind of crowd, you shouldn't take so many reservations. I realize you make a lot of money for big events, but the quality of your service was poor."

  • "This place had a great atmosphere, but for the portions and the taste, the food was way overpriced. Service was impeccable."

  • "Great presentation, excellent food, and attentive service. A unique Easter experience. However, be prepared to spend $100 per couple for a decent meal. Consider this restaurant for special events in your life."

  • "Asiatique was a wonderful experience! My family and I went on a very slow night after Easter so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The service was outstanding! The wine list was extensive and the server was very knowledgeable about the wine and sake selections to fit our palettes. The appetizers were great, except for the pork ribs, they were a little too fatty for my taste. The duck nachos were a MUST and the Pork Tender entree was delicious! Definitely going to be going back for happy hour and after hour dishes and drinks at half price. "

  • "One of the things that we love about Open Table is that is takes us to really excellent restaurants that we would have passed by otherwise. We were visiting Louisville and had no dining plans. Open Table was a blessing. We located a wonderful restaurant through Open Table. We never would have seen or found it otherwise. We'll be back to Louisville in a few weeks and plan to return to Asiatique. There are so many great choices on the menu…and specials. The restaurant seems to be able to integrate American favorites and add pan-Asia touches that provided a treat for the eye and the palet."

  • "I used to love Asiatique, but the quality of the food has decreased over the years. When I first dined here 6 years ago, I would have rated everything as excellent, however the decor needs to be updated, and the menu need to be refreshed. I think my table was the only one there...it was a Wednesday night, but it was too quiet."

  • "Great happy hour! Excellent food and unique pairings. The service and staff was very friendly and professional."

  • "We started out with an Asia-rita martini. It was delicius and it comes with the shaker so you get ALL the left overs! They have a nice menu. Not too much from which to choose. I had the seabass. I'm a bit of a seabass fanatic - delish. Their presentations are fancy. Portions are not huge. I like that as I feel US restaurants way over serve their portions. They offered a tasting menu with wine pairing; seafood, surf and turf, vegetarian and gluten free. Everything was well thoughtout. Not too overpriced. The atomosphere was very plain. That really didn't bother me but it did almost make me think someone didn't finish the decor! Very sterile looking. But heck...I'm there for the food. It did not disappoint. I will be back again and again."

  • "The waiter and chef were very helpful in finding an entree for a food allergy to garlic. We have eaten there several times in the last 3 years. It can be bit noisy when crowded. The food is always excellent and the prices are reasonable given the quality of the food. Desserts were excellent."

  • "The food was absolutely fantastic! The noise level was a little louder than normal but that's to be expected on such a busy day like Valentine's. Our waiter seemed pretty flustered by the business, so she was a little behind on a few things. Overall it was a great dinner! The cabia was one of the best things I had ever tasted!"

  • "We got reservations here for Valentine's Day. We don't go to upscale restaurants often since we're on a budget but we splurged and had a great night. The cocktails were really good and used top shelf alcohol. The 4 course menu was wonderful! There were plenty of options. The skirt steak appetizer was by far the best thing we had. My favorite was the macarons with strawberry compote for dessert. It was amazing! I hope we get to come back again but if we don't, it was definitely a valentine's day we won't forget!"

  • "Went for V-Day with wife and another couple. Prix fix menu @ $50, very fair. Salad w/ choice of dressing, not bad, but nothing special. Starters were calamari fingers - good, 5 spice pork - good, skewered skirt steak, little chewy, decent flavor, Ceviche - best of starter class. Entree's were Filet med rare - spot on, nice cut, good flavor, Marinated Pork - very tasty, Salmon - very good, Tuna tataki, rolled in black and whte sesame seeds, grilled to ruby rare - clearly best of entree class. Desserts, Pots de Creme, 3 sake shot glasses with flavored creme brulees, overkill on ginger, slight overkill on espresso, basic brulee the best, slice of chocolate torte - winner. Drinks very fair and good bourbon list/price (my specialty)"

  • "I was very happy with the service and ambiance of the place. The food was fantastic, we loved everything we orders and even swapped plates back and forth frequently. It's right around the corner from our neighborhood so we will definitely be patronizing the place frequently."

  • "I was really excited to try asiatique. I had reviewed the menu online and my mouth was watering. I tried the spring rolls as an appetizer and they are fantastic! The salad was sub par. I ordered the short ribs and my date ordered the filet. We both agreed we have had much better at other local restaurants for less money. I left disappointed."

  • "Love dining here. My and my wife's favorite restaurant in Louisville (a city with a fantastic foodie scene). Love the crab meat and goat cheese spring rolls, calamari, and wife loves the Asiarita. Entrees are very filling, tasty, and unique. Recommend to anyone!"

  • "We chose Asiatique for our delayed Valentine's dinner, and brought the kids with us. While there was no kids' menu, the kitchen was very open to accommodating the kids. Dinner was amazing, with incredible flavors and textures. I had the seafood tasting from the degustation menu, and my wife the vegetarian tasting with wine pairing. Our service was incredible, with the server interacting with the kids (even the 1 year old) with warmth. Our daughter even wanted him to hold her, and she won't let her grandparents do that!"

  • "We tried the tasting menu and I don't think it can get much better, each dish was prepared to perfection and tasted wonderful ! Try the duck if you get the chance. Absolutely amazing."

  • "Fun little restaurant off Bardstown Road in the Highlands. The food was top notch! The servings were a bit minimalist, but we had the "Valentine's Dinner" so the multiple courses made up for the lack of food volume. Really interesting use of odd building space. Nice bar but a little cramped. I'd say it should at least be on everyone's "must try" list!"

  • "Great food. Wonderful server guided us though the menu and chief specials. Like how he asked what flavors we like and then made a couple of suggestions. Nice time and we will be back."

  • "My companion and I chose two options from the degustation menu -- the seafood, and the medley. Both were paired with a wine for each course. We had a terrific time sampling all the delicious bites. The presentation was lovely, too. The wines complemented the bites perfectly."

  • "We went to Asiatique on a whim for a pre-concert light dinner. We ordered a beer and a ginger martini (sweet, but very good!), and we decided to share 3 appetizers and a hearty salad. It wasn't that the food wasn't good, but it wasn't incredibly flavorful. Also, the stereo system was out of order that night, so it was oddly quiet, especially when they sat us in the very back of a secluded dining room all alone. The waiter asked us if we had been to Asiatique before, and when we answered 'no' I thought we might hear some sort of run down of the items on the menu, customer favorites, or his favorites, but he just said 'cool' and that was it. It may have been an off night regarding ambience, but I won't go back for the food, either."

  • "Our food was absolutely fabulous! The service was good too. The only drawback was that the restaurant was empty. There was only 1 other family dining in the restaurant, so it made for an extremely quiet atmosphere. We were there on a Sunday evening though, and I've heard it's usually much more lively on Friday and Saturday nights. As far as the food... It was suburb! I highly recommend the portobello salad and the angus filet."

  • "Our second year to enjoy a Christmas Eve family dinner."
    Dined on 12/24/2013
  • "Wife and I took our three teenage kids here for a Christmas Eve dinner. The mood was lively and food was good. We had a few salads and an order of calamari for appetizers. All were tasty. Dinner was a mix of chicken, tuna, pork and scallop dishes. The scallops were fantastic, but I would drop the mini corn cobs as a side. No one really likes those even though they look fun. Desserts were the bananas, creme brulee' and chocolate cake. These were all great ways to end a nice night. Our waiter was very nice, but he was busy so our service wasn't as timely as we normally experience here. However, it was a busy evening in the restaurant, so we won't ding them for it."

  • "I have eaten at Asiatique probably 7 or 8 times. It has been good most times. This experience was not good at all and a big disappointment. Appetizer was fine and my mom's sea bass was good. My salmon was horrible. It was wok cooked but had an appearance of fried salmon, which I have never had, but it had no taste. I was very disappointed. I mentioned to the waiter that it wasn't good, so he brought another sauce for me. When I ate no more than two bites, he didn't seem to notice. My mom said that it was too bad I didn't like mine - as he didn't seem to notice - and he asked if I wanted to speak to someone but I said I didn't need to. No manager ever came over. When asked on way out about meal, I said mine was not good and they apologized."

  • "Food was good and my steak was perfectly cooked...but I expected GREAT and WOW from Asiatique. Appetizers were on the small side for portions and sides come separately from entrees."
