Asiago'sMothers' Day FeastOn a beautiful Spring day, my wife wanted to walk to/from her desired Sunday MD brunch. Asiago's Downtown fit her criteria. What we didn't expect was the variety of food options at the special MD brunch buffet. My plate was full before I got to the multiple specialty courses even when cutting back to single mouthful items along the way. And single bite desserts were more than adequate, very tasty (yes, divine doughnut holes!) and perfect for the occasion. We were glad we walked over a mile to & from for exercise, but still cut back to a small dinner that evening because our main MD mid-morning dining special was as robust as it was satisfying.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood time delicious foodEasy reservation. UnfortunatelyEverything was fine. Unfortunately, through no fault of the establishment it was difficult to find. The entry must be found through all the big machinery and road work being done with in the front. We will return once that is all over,now that we know where it is. The server was very nice and pleasant with knowledge of some of the beers my husband was asking about. The sound referred to above was from the road crew. Price you pay for good food. Staff was friendly and attentive. They worked well together. When our waitress was very busy other staff members checked on us and made sure we were taken care of. It was beautiful, and well designed. We were amongst many, but felt like it was just the two of us having dinner. The food was outstanding, and the service was friendly and quick. I realize now that Alavita has recently opened it's very hard to get in there for reservations. My friend really wanted a dish that sounded wonderful, except it said "spicey" and she doesn't like real spicey.

She also helped me remember which wine that I liked by bringing samples. We split a salad and an entrée, the cooks were kind enough to split them up onto two plates for us, making it easier than trying to do it while sitting down ourselves. The online reservation option is not only intelligent for the business, reducing stress for the staff and had an awesome option of times close to the time you wanted if your time is not available (ours was luckily for us!) We were not sat until nearly 9:00pm, which was frustrating. The restaurant was apologetic and comp'd us two appetizers, a very good gesture. Our waitress, Ceci, was fantastic.
