Diner Reviews
  • "While it has opened patio gates and windows, flies kept bothering us ruining a good mood to enjoy our dinner."
    Dined on 7/28/2014
  • "The service started out ok, but was nonexistent toward the end. There was a rock in one of the entrées. The food was mediocre at best. I will not return and would not recommended this place."

  • "We had a great time. The food was wonderful. The service was very attentive without being intrusive. Our meals arrive after a reasonable wait. Our table (reserved through Open Table) was ready when we arrived. Asiago's has an inviting atmosphere--come, relax, enjoy the meal. We'll be back."

  • "Over the years, we had been to Asiago's a few time before and remembered it as pretty good. This visit was outstanding, however. The selections were numerous and varied, everything was flavorful, the portions were large and the pace was relaxed. The waiter and staff was excellent and helpful with our food and wine selections. We all enjoyed our dining experience very much."

  • "Good bread, great salad, yet both of our pastas came swimming in sauces and were too limp to stand up to them. Good service and setting. Would come back again for their salads. Our waitress mentioned that a lot of local patrons wanted lots of sauce and that we could order to specifics. We've enjoyed great pasta dishes throughout the country so this may not be the place for us. Nice setting, however."

  • "My husband and I had a terrific dinner at Agiago's. The first table we were given was too noisy due to the acoustics and the other busy tables, but they promptly re-seated us in the other room with a wine cellar-type ambience. It was much quieter. The wait staff were impeccable and the food delicious. The waiter recommended a great wine by the glass. I recommend the Mediterranean salad and the bread pudding for dessert in particular."

  • "I have visited Italy four times and just recently returned from another visit. Asiago's food is as good or superior to the food we ate during our recent 3 week visit."
    Dined on 7/3/2014
  • "Asiagos was a fantastic depature from years of mediocre italian! Its menu had a woderful variety of authentic dishes, a wine well selected to complement, and a wonderful view of downtown from the patio. Quickly seated, served, and glasses never ran empty. Its easy to expect a return visit. Our waiter, Chris, recommended the rosarno and I'm glad he did. It seems I'll be added to the list of regulars that come for just that plate! I can't recommend Asiagos enough. A glass of wine after work, shopping and lunch midweek, or an early dinner with my wife. This is easily a new 'spot'."

  • "Asiago's is a special dining place for my husband and I. It was the place my husband took me 10 years ago for our very first date. We spend our anniversary here now and we always talk about that first date. The food and service is just as good as it was 10 years ago. Love this place!"

  • "This was a last minute pick for a Saturday dinner in Boise. We had a great table outside and the food was very good. We would definitely go to Asiagos again when we are back in Boise."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "This was our second time to Asiagos! We ate outside the last time and loved it! The weather being a bit iffy we decided to eat inside. Loved the atmosphere and the service. The young man that waited on us was very helpful and friendly! Will go back again!!"
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "Fresh pasta; they are flexible to adjust ingredients on menu items - tweak a dish to your taste! Quaint decor, we didnt see a lot of the inside but I will check that out on my next visit."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "We always enjoy visiting Asiago for lunch or dinner."

  • "Always great food and good service. Not your traditional Italian food. Creative and delicious."

  • "This is such a great find - If you appreciate a lovely menu, with just the right amount of choices - from eclectic to fabulous versions of staples (their burgers are THE BEST!!!) you will love Asiago's too. Their outside seating is wonderful this time of year and their inside seating is always good too. The chef is really wonderful and their staff well trained, attentive and accommodating, but not too attentive that they are interuptive to the enjoyment of your company. My friend, my son and I have enjoyed Asiago's before, but this was my son's girlfriends first and she thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely come again!"

  • "Been here several times and it never usually disappoints, but this last time they were a little off. The servers were friendly and observant to needs as usual. The appetizers and wine are always good, and I love their bread. They were out of all caprese ingredients, which eliminated a lot of choices off the menu that included those… this seemed kind of odd, as those are staples to an Italian restaurant. I got the beef tenderloin ordered medium-rare- preferrably closer to rare. It came medium which was somewhat disappointing, but it was still a good meal overall. While this most recent visit was a bit off, I'm sure we will return again."

  • "Food was great and even had gluten free pasta! Service was really good."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "If you looking for a nice place with "atmosphere" and a quite place for a special occasion this is NOT the place to be. Its over priced, too noise (including the traffic noise), brown paper on the tables instead of linen and uncomfortable seating that encourages you to not relax and stay too long."

  • "always great food and great atmosphere. we would easily recommend this rest. to others"

  • "Asiago's has the best bread in town... it is served warm and with olive oil. mmmmm.... The food was excellent as well!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "We used to love Asiago's and have gone there for years but I have noticed that the portions have become significantly smaller, along with the amount of cheese they offer with the bread. My husband and I used to joke about the "bucket of cheese" because it was literally a small tin bucket filled with cheese. Now it's a tiny dish for four people and we were not offered anymore bread or cheese. The pasta is also often overcooked as was the case this time. The food was good but our waitress was very slow, for everything. We ordered dessert, also very good, but took about a half hour to arrive after ordering."

  • "We have been there several times and as always it was great. Today Was just as good as the other times. The only disapointment is that they dropped the crab cakes from the menu - they were really good."

  • "The meal was excellent! Special thanks to our waitress, Lydia, for a terrific job! We'll be back!"

  • "Great food, huge portions, enough to share with a friend or two. The only problem: Twice the reservations I made through Open Table were not received by Asiago's. In the future, I'd call directly and make live reservations. "

  • "My wife chose Asiago's for her birthday dinner. The food is outstanding and the service is great. We have been to Asiago's five times and everything is always first rate."

  • "I went there with high hopes of a great experience. It had been several years since visiting the restaurant in there other location. I now know why. The food was under seasoned and bland. The Veal Marsala was made with ground lamb, over cooked with a sauce that best be described as overly sweet but bland. One of my dining partners had a dish that was supposed to include polenta. The kitchen had run out of polenta (their explanation, at 7PM?) and substituted a pile of sautéed red onions without telling us until they were questioned about it! My spouse's dish of mushroom pasta with gorganzola lacked seasoning and flavor. The kitchen staff has no respect for their customers. I and my friends will not be frequenting this restaurant."

  • "We ate here about 6 months ago, and our experience was just meh. This time, we had a much better experience. Our server knew a lot more about the wine list, the food was much better (I MUST find out the recipe for the tomato pesto sauce in the Bolzano dish!), and the faux wine cellar dining area was much more romantic. As I mentioned, the sauce and pasta in the Bolzano dish were smooth and flavorful. The carne dish was pork with a delicious smoky, spicy sauce. The Mediterranean salad was full of olives and feta, and the chocolate brownie and spumoni desserts were spot-on. We could pick up the perfect hint of spice in the brownie, and each the spumoni ice cream flavors stood on their own. "

  • "Awesome food great service. Went on a Friday night our waitress was great and helpful with menu and food ideas. They got us in and out for a quick meal that was great."

  • "Great place to dine outside. Fantastic menu. We both had the Prawns and seafood risotto which was great. The only problem I had was in the risotto there were three muscles and only one of them had opened. Anyone who knows seafood knows that if the muscle did not open it is bad. So I asked myself, if I am a chef worth my salt why would I send out a plate with two bad muscles? "

  • "Every time I visit Boise, I take the family to Asiago's. Everything is great - service, atmosphere, and most of all the great food. I am amazed at all the choices! I try something new each time."

  • "Asiago's has a good reputation. Good food, house made pasta, good meats, Italian vibe. Sometimes it's great, and sometimes there is just that little bit missing. Steak ordered medium-rare but served medium, seasoning balance just a little bit off, inconsistent service (one has his nose up in the air and pushes the napkin on your lap as if it were the path to salvation, another the total opposite trying to be your best friend). The house pasta is great if done right (not always the case). Make your quality consistent, and you will be a main stay for years to come. "

  • "I wasn't very pleased with my recent experience at Asiago's. I had been two previous times, and they were great. This dinner was in celebration of a life changing event and also my dear friend's first experience at Asiago's. I had ranted and raved about this place to her prior to going, and it was a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping for a bit more attention and service than what we received. I don't think she understood all the fuss I was making, after her experience. This made me sad. Hopefully, this was a one time fluke, because I really thought I'd found a place to go for all occasions. "

  • "We always get a glass of wine/beer, enjoy the bread, and split a salad and an entrée. Just enough food and absolutely delicious. Afton, our server, was excellent. Great knowledge of beers."

  • "I am a vegan that will sometimes make a concession to vegetarian and I also don't eat gluten. As you can imagine restaurants are difficult (ok a nightmare) for me. I found the food at Asiago's to be fantastic. I ordered the eggplant and all I can say is "Magnificent." What a delight to the palate and the presentation, which means a lot to me, was lovely. I recommend it to anyone trying to find vegan options in Idaho."

  • "We booked the restaurant for Mother's day without ever eating there before. It had amazing food and reasonable prices from 15 to 25 dollars. Everything is hand made. We had the Roma pasta, chicken pasta, and the NY steak. The steak was the best we had in many years. The reduction sauce was perfect and the steak you could almost cut with a fork. My brother in law took his boss who flew in from Colorado the next day for dinner. The restaurant has good reviews but we never made it a point to try it when we were downtown. We will be going back without hesitation. They had a good wine list which was a little spendy. However their house red wine was very good at 7-8 dollars a glass."

  • "Let me start by saying that the food selection and quality was fantastic. The environment overall is nice. Service however was a bit lacking. Not once was I or two others in my six party dinner offered water, we had to serve ourselves throughout the dinner. We were not all offered salad/soup even though it was an option. When I attempted to arrange a surprise desert I was blown off initially by the hostess. Finally when clearing the table, plates were stacked in front of one person and then picked up with elbows and armpits in that persons face. Overall I would rate this a positive dinner and a very nice restaurant, the service on this particular night and with this particular waiter and bus boy was less than perfect."

  • "We drove 75 miles for my wifes birthday Diner , wanting fine Italian. Had reservations and was seated quick, and then was rushed to order. Ordered two starters and rushed to order entrie , so order 2 salads with bread and got the salads and 10 minute later bread. Ordered main course Pasta and lamb and very disappointed , could not tell the difference between tuna or lamb. ordered tiramisu for dessert and needed a sharp knife to cut it, server noticed and replaced it and it tasted terrible, could not eat it. Our total was $90. We will never return !"

  • "The menu is quite extensive. We picked the lamb and the veal which were both excellent. It the environment was somewhat noisy but became quite acceptable once the rush was over. We really liked this restaurant and added it on our list of places to come back to."
