Ashley's Restaurant - Capital HotelA special experienceWe dined at Ashley's for our thirtieth anniversay and it was a perfect choice! When I made the reservation I noted it was out 30th anniversary and did not know if anything would be made more special. To our delight, the hostess congratulated us as we were greeted as did our main waiter. When we were given the menus, we were thrilled to see PRINTED (not hand written in) "Happy 30th Aniversary to Mr. and Mrs. ....."! At the close of our meal the menus were delivered tio our table rolled and tied with a ribbon as a keepsake. That was probably the most thoughtful thing I've ever had happen at a restaurant.
If you have a special occasion to celebrate, I can;t think of a better place than Ashley's!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, Ashley's neverAs always, Ashley's never disappoints! From the moment we drove up until we left, we were made to feel like we were the most special people in the restaurant. Extra special attention to every detail was obvious by every staff member. Super amazing dinner, great time!!!!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall, very goodMy tenderloin was excellent, but wife thought pork cheeks were way to rich for her to enjoy. Portions were reasonable for price paid-not huge with a lot of waste. Very extensive wine list with many choices within our budget. Nice cheese and condiment plate to share with glasses of Port. I would go back if in the area for a special occasion.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMFine DiningAshley's has now become one of our favorites for fine dining! It is pricey, but the service, atmosphere, & food are some of the best we've ever had & worth the money; and we've traveled many states. Had our wine paired with each course and the choices were excellent! We will return! A must try - the "Southern Comfortable" cocktail -- YUM!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis Chef is fabulous!Ashley's has been my "go to" special event place for dinner ever since the owner revamped the hotel and restaurant. I hadn't been since the new chef was recruited from France. He had an incredible resume and I was eager to see if the food livesd up to his reputation. I am happy to say it does. I had the Oysters Rockefeller to start. They were unlike any Oysters Rockefeller I had ever had and were superb. I had the steak with the foie gras as my entree and it was just as I had ordered it--medium rare. It was a little crunchy on the outside and perfectly pink inside. The maitre d', Lee Ingold, a New Orleans recruit, is always the epitome of welcoming and the wait staff were great. I can't wait to go again!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMBest in Little Rock! This is the place to bring your guests from out of state to show off. It's elegant, the food and wine lists are great, and I return frequently.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AM25th wedding anniversaryEven though we live in little rock, we felt we were in a big city in very upscale dining.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMKeep Telling People About This OneOn a trip recently we mentioned that we would be in Little Rock and our friend who we respect told us about Ashley's and that we should try and eat there. After checking their website I made the reservation and took 3 friends with my wife and I. What a special eveing, the off menu specials and each item on the menu all appealed to us - unfortunately we cannot eat them all. The food was served in a most appetizing way and just literally each bite was a special "moment in time". Hope we have reason to be back in Little Rock soon!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic attention to detailFantastic attention to detail in service, creative and refined menu! We will be back!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe felt transported to a moreWe felt transported to a more tranquil time when dinning was leisurely and the conversation at ones table could be heard without shouting. It was simply wonderful, the food inspired and the service impeccable. We hope they keep the just from the oven brioche on the menu. The Pavlova was amazing and topped off a perfect evening. They have achieved a fine balance between tradition and modern; adding new menu items and the willingness to keep the best of the best. It’s too bad we live almost 1700 miles away but whenever we return to Little Rock we shall make a point of going to Ashley's.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a wonderful place. SetWhat a wonderful place. Set in an old, well mainatined hotel, the dining room is spectacular. Thier coconut Thai soup was unusal and outstanding.
Will definitely go back on my next trip.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is as good as any placeThis is as good as any place in New York or Chicago. The service was excellent, the food outstanding and the price is significantly lower than NY or Chi. The only place I have seen this perfect was at the Loews in Monti Carlo.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVE the new menu!Vastly improved since they got rid of the limited prix-fixe menu and moved to a full menu.
The filet was AMAZING, and the Baked Alaska fantastic!
GREAT anniversary dinner! Thanks, Ashley's!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat fine dining experienceThis is our second time to Ashley's. Everything we had was outstanding. We did the wine pairing and our waiter made great selections except it was a miss on the wine with the quail.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I have beenMy husband and I have been wanting to eat Brunch at Ashley's for a while now and finally made a reservation to go. The staff went above and beyond our expectations and made us feel special. The food was AMAZING, 3 courses that were divine, starting with Gulf Shrimp and Grits followed by a main course of Pecan-Crusted Catfish and ending with Bananas Foster that was absolutely sinful. The service was top-notch, Annie took great care of us. We hope to make it in again soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMVery tasty food but smallVery tasty food but small portions for some items. Most of the group loved it.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
