Four people on one side of the table sitting on regular chairs, four on the other sitting on a lower (very comfortable) sofa. There was a DJ, and the combination of the louder music and the distance to the people on the other side of the table, made it hard to have a conversation with more that one person at the time......too bad. We were a group of six people, and the experience was great. We were able to hear across the table, without shouting.
