We went as a family of four with our children. We were the only family there, all the others were couples, business men, and groups of friends. We were seated immediately and service was very prompt and friendly. Our server explained the menu to us so that we knew what we would be eating. The food came quickly and to quote my husband was "the best steak he had ever eaten." My youngest and I shared the lamb shank, and between us we had some left because the portion was quite large. My oldest had the scewered steak and loved it. My only complaint was the lima beans, although very delicious, were a bit salty for my taste. We enjoy trying new foods and this was a dining experience full of new flavors and tastes. Well done.

Probably the best steak in the area albight a little pricey...but still well worth it. Tight quarters and rather loud...but after a few drinks...it won't matter. Alcohol is really expensive so if you plan on getting toasted, wait to hit up a bar.

The food was so good. The service was flawless and the cocktails were perfect. Ultimately, the food was really good and that is the reason to come to this place. The noise level is pretty loud, so don't expect a quiet dinner for two. Come for the tastiest meats and seafood. We had the special of the night, the NY steak with a bleu cheese sauce...unbelievable. Yes, it really was that good.

You did not register our honor of the registration and I was frustrated. I don't like the follow up that we were not honoring the reservation because the restaurant did not "click" us off. Made me feel like we were low lifes. Did like the food, too loud in the restaurant. Open tables too close and the tables not big enough to take drinks, appitizers, shared salad, bread, wine, etc. Service was great. No one missed a beat and if anything too fast to enjoy. WE will probably be back.

We were seated next to a fireplace, hot air was blowing at us, made it uncomfortable. We waited far too long for drinks thru out the night. The apetizer of grilled shrimp was burnt. The salads were good, the steaks were nothing special, the purple mashed potatoes were good. Overall, too noisey, too warm, dinner was not worth the $150 we spent for 2 people, will not return.

Asado has been one of our favorite Tacoma restaurants, however, each time we dine there we recall how small the tables for two are. There is simply not enough room to comfortably place everything on the table or for the servers to step between the tables to set plates down in front of patrons. When you have to set your plate atop a menu on the table until a server comes to take your dinner order, there is a problem. WE enjoy the food most of the time-this last time the flat iron steak we ordered was not tender as it has been in the past but, instead, was stringy and tough.

hands down, one of the best restaurants in Tacoma....and the entire Northwest. I love taking out of town guests here. The food is consistently fabulous. Wines are wonderful and the staff always has the best recommendations to pair with your food. The Sea bass is the best thing on the menu, but if steak is your thing, it is amazing as well. You MUST save room for dessert and have the Pockets of Sin.

This restaurant had good unique food and excellent service. It was very very noisy. Not a good place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion and conversation was difficult - we were yelling at each other. There were a number of very young children (babies and toddlers) which we didn't expect on a Thursday evening at this type of restaurant.

We enjoy the food and service at Asado very much. It can be very loud and hard to hear conversation at the table. Waitstaff was excellent both in bar and at our table. Recommended wine, appetizer, salad and desserts were great as usual. We didn't get seated until 30mins after our reservation, which was disappointing. Sea bass was actually pretty bad this time, not as good a cut as usual, not terribly fresh and underprepared.

My Girlfriend is a gourmet cook and she had the Gnocchi... She said it was "Killer" and enjoyed every bite...except THE bite she shared with me. I had the ribeye ( again ) and it was fantastic. If you're not sure what wine to order from the extensive list, just ask Wayne for his recommendation. When making my Open Table reservation, it indicated the only available times were 6:30 and 8:30, so we chose the earlier time. However, at 7:00 and 7:30 there were still several empty tables. Hmmmmmm ???

My husband and I always go to Asado when we want a special dinner. We usually take any friends/family that visit us. Well on this occasion, my best friend came to visit. We took her and had my favorite item on the menu....parilla mixta. Big disappointment this time. The steak was burnt. I was very disappointed b/c this was the first time that I have ever been disappointed by this dish. Out of the 6 of us, 3 ordered this, and sad to say, all 3 orders were burnt. The restaurant itself was way too warm. Our dessert, creme brulee, was not what we expected. The consistency was overly runny. It was like eating vanilla pudding. So, I will have to say that this visit was not what we were used to with Asado!

We have a lovely fathers day dinner at Asado. It was our first trip and we really weren't sure about the Argentine aspect as we weren't sure what flavors that would we would encounter. What a treat. We each ordered a steak, which was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. We both enjoyed the polenta and loved the side of bacon and leek butter beans. Our service was exceptional and there is no doubt that we will return for dinner again. (Also enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine!) Thank you for the opportunity to share this. Richard and Susan Johns

I have been to other "Argentine" steak houses and the food at Asado was far better than what I had expected to find. I was particularly impressed by the side dishes which were all remarkably fine. They offered an excellent '05 Malbec at a very reasonable price. It was a perfect compliment to our dinners. Our table server was attentive without being intrusive and had a poised air of professional competence that I have found more common in Europe than in America. Overall, Asado was a real surprise as well as a real treat, and I highly recommend it.
