    Comfortably seats up to 60 guests and is available after 4pm any evening of the year. It has its own large kitchen that can easily create any type of event: from simple cocktail parties to buffets to intricate multi-course dinners.

    Comfortably seats up to 32 guests and is one of the most exquisite and serene small function rooms in all of Boulder.

A word from Arugula Ristorante
Arugula has a dozen bar seats, several tables and a seasonal patio that we do not take online reservations for. So please try calling us if you don't get the exact time slot you want.

Arugula is elegant Italian dining with the warmth of home in a modern environment, infusing the best of Italian culinary tradition with our contemporary interpretations. We pride ourselves on using ingredients grown based on traditional practices, helping to remind us of our connection to the land and the seasons. We create balanced meals using meats that are naturally raised, in-season organic local produce, and fish and shellfish which is in accordance with Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch guidelines for sustainability. In addition to our regular menus, each evening we print a daily specials sheet of an additional 10 to 15 dishes. This is our playground and often these dishes focus on in-season produce and fresh seafood.Continued

We had a 7:45 PM reservation and were going to be about 10 minutes late, so called ahead - they were very nice and said they'd seat us when we arrived, which they did. My daughter and I shared a chopped kale salad which was great. They split it for us and left the speck off her half since she doesn't eat meat. I had the wild gulf shrimp & orecchiette pasta - so good! Both my husband and daughter ordered off a seasonal menu - another shrimp and pasta dish and mahi mahi. Enjoyed this dinner. Interior ambience was lovely, service attentive and helpful and food great."

It was restaurant week, and they offered a 3 course special for $30. However, all but 3 of the options had an upcharge of $2-3 dollars which meant there was only 1 combination of 3 items you could select to get the "special" price of $30. Mine was actually $38 with the upcharges. The prices (my husband and I ate for $85, he ordered a single item a la carte) were a bit pretentious for Boulder, especially having recently enjoyed Italian style meals in upscale restaurants Venice, Florence, and Rome at a lower cost! If you want good food at high prices, with an air of haughtiness, this is the restaurant for you!"

  • "I went to Arugula for a dinner with friends. I had an excellent tomato fennel soup - perfect seasonings and texture and beautiful presentation. My salmon with skin on was tender and moist, served with some wonderful vegetables. My daughter ordered the Bolognese pasta, and it took that dish to a new level. Fabulous. My friends had the mahi mahi, which was wonderful, and a prawn dish that was tasty and spicy. Key like pie was traditional and well done for dessert."

Salad and soup were fantastic, tenderloin was, too, but the lamb chops were extremely fatty. I have never seen that before. The waiter was great to steer us clear of the napoleons because the lemon curd wasn't good. That's why I think they were just at the bottom of the barrel after a big night. It is usually great."

I had two glasses of the Malbec and they were superb! For my antipasta, I had the caprese salad - fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, etc. Tomatoes were out of season, but the dish was still enjoyable. For my secondi (second course), I had the bison with red sauce and the orriette pasta. It was delicious. My friend had some kind of roast which was also very tender. They have a daily menu as well as the regular menu. I had almond cheesecake for dessert. Honestly, I was stuffed by then but it was so good."

  • "Arugula is an amazing restaurant in Boulder. Yet it is off Pearl Street, so not so congested. It is owned by the same people who do La' Atelier in Boulder, an exquisite restaurant. We even took our four and six year old for an early dinner at 6:00 and they were so accommodating with a great kid's menu. We had short ribs, pork tenderloin, and the pasta bolognaise and have had other entrees on previous visits. All the entrees have been delicious and wonderfully paired. Salads were light and perfectly dressed. The service is impeccable, without being too stiff or formal. They are also very accommodating to gluten and dairy free diets, as they are listed in the menu. Highly recommended."

  • "My wife and I have eaten at Arugula on several occasions and have always enjoyed it. This time we invited an out-of-town friend to join us and we went early so as to give us enough time to attend a concert later that evening. My wife and I, as usual, started with the tomato bisque (the best in Boulder) and our friend had the kale salad. Our main courses consisted of schnitzel (the special), seafood stew and meatballs (polpette), and we shared a Sangiovese/Cab/Merlot blend wine that complemented the food very well. We finished with a shared lemon pudding cake. All of us enjoyed all of our entrees and would order them again. The service at Arugula is always excellent and was no different on this visit. We highly recommend Arugula."
