A word from Arturo's Ristorante
One of the prettiest and long-lived restaurants in Boca Raton, Arturo's (featuring Northern Italian fare) is owned and run by consummate restaurateurs Vincenzo and Rosaria Gismondi. Their tuxedo-clad staff are attentive and friendly, and do their best to inform you about, and not just serve, the excellent food.
Arturo's has a number of distinctive and attractive features. The antipasti trolley is filled with a mammoth selection of traditional Italian dishes (don't picture the usual salads - we have enjoyed crab dishes, pastas, stone crabs, grilled eggplant, layered pastries stuffed with veggies and cheeses, smoked salmon, etc). It is marvelous, and, at a very reasonable cost, a terrific way to dine. Due to market fluctuations, some dishes may be priced separately, so be sure to ask if anything on the trolley is not included in the one price given. Entrees are also wonderful. The Dover sole is something to behold, the meats are tender and perfectly prepared in many ways.

Diner Reviews
  • "This is now our second time at Arturo's and this place is amazing on every level. Not only do they make you feel welcome, the service is exceptional and the food is to die for. We dine out every week and this was my wife's request to celebrate her birthday. They made it very special for her and the pianist playing amazing music just added to the ambience. We had a great time and will return here again. "

  • "On the 1st visit we were a party of 4, we were warmly welcomed, seated at a nice table and was assigned a very efficient and knowledgeable server resulting in a very positive experience for the evening. This was my 2nd visit to Arturo’s we were a party of 6; we were greeted, and shown to a table that was adjacent to the main “pathway” to the entire dining room. Our server not of the same caliber as was the server at our previous visit. My entrée of “Osso Buco” Milanaise was perhaps the worst rendition of this classic dish I have ever had. Reply received from the owner we always buy the same quality. I told him I worked over 40 years as a chef and that I know classical cooking techniques, he shrugged his shoulders, and gave a lame excuse."

  • "Arturo's is an old world elegant Italian restaurant. We brought snowbirds from Canada and they loved it. Appetizers from the cart are a must."

  • "Arturo's has an old world charm without being too stuffy. The waitstaff was attentive and the quality of the dishes excellent. Our group all had the zuppa di mare and all plates went back to the kitchen clean."

  • "But for the broken glass that was on the table when we sat down, and the piano player that was just a bit too loud, Arturo's is a wonderful restaurant. We were seated at a lovely corner table in the room with the piano player. He was not playing when we sat down; had he been, we would have realized that the music was just a bit too loud. Arturo's has another very lovely room where we could have been seated. Then there were the slivers and pieces of glass on the table cloth... It was brought to the attention of the staff and there were 3-4 staff members changing the table cloth within seconds. This was concerning, but then the service and food was perfection. Will definitely be back."

  • "Pricy but worth it for special times in your life. If the price is no object, then do it often. My friend and I will do it again. Wonderful experience. Enjoyed the dancing on Saturday night."

  • "Chicken parm not on menu but asked if they could make for kids, said no problem so asked for a single order.....brought out 2 veal parms (small had figured it was split on two plates) & charged me $60. Waited 15 minutes to order second round of drinks. Waiter disappeared from time we ordered dinner until I yelled across two tables for the bill. Service was horrendous. 5 people including 2 kids.....$300. total waste of time & money"

  • "Arturo's offers a quiet, sophisticated atmosphere, with professional service and wonderful food. One of a select few high-end restaurants where diners can talk without shouting. Our go-to fine dining restaurant. Compliments to the owners and managers."

  • "We have been here once for lunch and once for dinner. Both experiences were memorable. Our table ordered lamb, beef, veal, and fish. We all left our plates clean. The sauces were delicious. Fish was boned tableside. We love the well-spaced tables that allow for quiet conversations and there is never a feeling of being crowded. The piano is a nice touch for background music and service is attentive but not obtrusive. We will be back for more delicious meals."

  • "FOOD AND SERVICE VERY GOOD. ONLY NEGATIVE IS IT'S PRICEY !! $27 for Chicken Parm no pasta is expensive. It was a Sunday night and restaurant was quiet which made for nice conversation and no rushing to turn over table. Even the deserts offered are numerous and looked very good. If prices were a bit more moderate they would be busy busy all the time. As is, it's for the occasional visit. I'd love to frequent this place more often !!"

  • "Arturo's Restaurant is one of the finest establishments I have ever been to. I came here with my parents and had such an amazing time. My father was so impressed by the wine list. The food was excellent as well as the service and ambiance. Table-side cooking is a really nice touch that you rarely find in other restaurants today. The live music was also a great touch. Some couples even got up to dance. This restaurant is just really one of a kind."

  • "This was a great restaurant to take my father-in-law for a birthday dinner. The service was wonderful, and it's a real old-world Italian restaurant. The wait staff is in tuxes, and there are so many around who can help at any time. The waiters gladly cook some of the food at your table. The musician sang, "Happy Birthday", and our table was full of festive confetti. Overall, we were all impressed with the menu and service, and we would return to celebrate another special occasion."

  • "Eating at Arturo's is truley a dining experience. Trying to impress my date, I ordered everything that was made table side. How many Caesar Salads are made table side? It was really unbelievable. From Caesar Salad to the Spaghetti Gismondi and the Filet Mignon Arturo, all of which were made table side by the owner himself due to such a busy night. Just when my date thought the night was over, I ordered Zabaglione which is a popular Italian dessert ALSO made table side and then finished the night off with a very beautiful dance. There is absolutely no other resturants where you can have such a dining experience. I will start becoming a regular at Arturo's Resturant and tell all my friends and family about it."

  • "Could not handle a full house. Our table of 6 waited 1 1/2 hr. for our entrées. The food came out cold. My salmon was not cooked as ordered. Second time salmon was undercooked - raw. Sent back. Management came to table and inquired. Situation explained and hostess responded rudely that first salmon was as I ordered. They were unaccommodating, and charged for the salmon. We insisted that they correct the bill. Was very unpleasant experience. We were all return patrons. But, no more!!!"

  • "We have not eaten at Arturo's in many years and decided to try it again. We found the bartenders to be rude and unaccomadatimg, Our waiter never offered us the appetizer cart,as I remember from years back. The dinner portion were very smalland not very good.. There are many Italian restaurants in the Boca area, I would dine at them before Arturo's."

  • "Our family chose to eat at Arturo's for the first time recently. We had tickets to the WIck Theatre and the restaurant was nearby. Our party of 6 had two birthdays - an 11 year old and a 48 year old. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table with birthday confetti. Many of the servers came by and wished us well. The food was spectacular - we had the cannalloni, the steak arturo, the fish special and the cesear salad prepared tableside. But the very best thing about our experience was the service. Truly exceptional- professional and friendly."

  • "We were in South Florida for two weeks and ate at many different restaurants but this was by far the best food we had during our trip. My husband had the osso bucco and pasta fagioli and said they were the best he ever had. My son had the steak and I had the chicken marsala both of which were very good. We will definitely eat at this restaurant again."

  • "We were greeted with a "buona sera". Being from Rome, that made me feel like I was home again. Great table in the "patio" room. The staff was lovely. The restaurant was busy but we were made to feel like VIPs. The owner helped us chose an Italian Chardonnay (Dreams by Silvio Jermann)that we really enjoyed. Two of us had the appetizer cart and were delighted. The two others enjoyed homemade capelli with shrimp and lobster sauce. Delicious! My entree' "Nocetti di Vitello" with Cabernet sauce and polenta. WONDERFUL. Our friends shared the Branzino. Fresh and baked perfectly. My date chose Ossobuco with risotto. We loved Tiramisu, and the Italian cheesecake. The staff, live music and food were outstanding. So authentic We will be back! Grazie!"

  • "An unsavoury experience..seated 20 minutes after our reservation, waited 20m mins for a menu, wine served before menus given, and ages before first course, waited over 1 hour for main course, many excuses from very snobby management, finally recvd 2 underdone salmons and 3 pastas, 1 branzino of poor quality food. Restaurant had run out of smoked salmon for g-d sake!! Large party seated nearby very noisy and disruptive especially when they left, management do nothing. Waiter kept saying not his fault whilst owner stood by and said nothing. Offered free coffees which we refused as adding insult to injury. Terrible restauant, offhand, unhelpful and coudn't care less attitude from management. Overall experience cost them 10 future customers."

  • "Loved Arturo's old world charm. When seated I noticed a Happy Birthday sign. When I mentioned it was my Birthday day, the staff decorated our table with confetti . The staff were extremely helpfull, and pleasant. Our food was outstanding.... baked clams, antipasto, cannelloni(I wanted half bechamel & red sauce the chef served it in two plates so I could try each separately), to seafood pasta all were delicious. The dessert cart was wonderful, we chose berries which were large and sweet. The piano player played Happy Birthday while the staff sang. We enjoyed our relaxing dining experience, and will return very soon."

  • "We were greeted very warmly, with grace, befitting a restaurant that prides it's self on "old world" manners and service. This feeling of being very welcome guests continued through out the entire meal. The food was very good, with some minor flaws or mistakes. Looking forward to the time when I book my next reservation."
