A word from Arts & Eats Restaurant and Gallery
Arts & Eats Restaurant and Gallery is located in the heart of the Village of the Arts in Bradenton, Florida. It's located in a 1920s bungalow and has distinguished itself by remaining #1 on Trip Advisor with a solid 5 star rating for the past year and a half.

Chef Jim’s food is inspired by the ethnic flavors he experienced on the streets of New York City. He is passionate about bringing international flavors to the Bradenton Sarasota area. The menu includes Thai shrimp curry, fresh fish with miso, truffle butter or Thai curry sauce, homemade garlic goat cheese ravioli with pesto, fresh fish, scallops with truffle butter, and much more. All foods are prepared in-house, including breads and desserts (this includes a carrot cake that will make you cry with joy).

Arts & Eats prides itself on bringing people together through amazing food by Chef Jim Copening, nightly music by local musicians, and service where you enter as a guest and leave as a friend.

Everytime we eat at this tiny, little restaurant we try something different. Tonight five of us shared 2 plates of the stuffed dates and we all agreed we wanted more. Three diners had the black grouper and all three loved it. Two of us had pork tenderloin and the portion was so big we could not finish our serving. Delicious. Ordinarilly there is only 1 dessert eater in this group of 5 but tonight we all had dessert. The cake is as good as everything said in many reviews so we recommend it. The homemade ice cream was heavenly.

Had to rewrite my review since I went over by 616 characters. The food was the greatest. My wife had the best tasting chicken EVER. I had a shrimp curry and everything was fresh. There is a man playing the piano and the owner and a waitress also sing. The PLACE is small and cozy. The chef came by our table and I asked him how he cooked the chicken. The PLACE is funky looking from the outside and the same on the inside. You get a total experience at this restaurant. Would go back next time I stop in Bradenton. I usually don't go out to eat without a coupon but I decided to treat my wife to something different. WHAT A TREAT for the both of us. Thank You Arts and Eats Restaurant and Gallery for a GREAT dinner experience.

My wife & I ate at Arts & Eats a few weeks ago for brunch and we loved the ambiance and the food was fabulous. We decided to turn a few of our friends on to this unique place so we reserved a table for 6 on Friday night. Everyone at our table was blown away with the uniqueness of this establishment. The staff were very friendly and Jim, the chef & owner, came to our table and made us all feel like old friends. This is a "must visit" if you are anywhere near the Village of the Arts in Bradenton.

Very creative menu, surroundings, and food. Love it when a chef really takes pride is what they are serving and provides you with different dishes from restaurant chains or what you are capable of whipping up at home. Great treat, love what they are doing at Arts and Eats.

Funky, Funky, Funky….Fun and Good. It was our first time to dine at Arts and Eats and when was the last time you were in a restaurant where the chef/owner picked up a guitar, a guest got up and played the bongo drums and they both accompanied the vocalist? Our dinner was very good, somewhat unusual and we very much enjoyed our choices of scallops and the Asian Sampler. Dessert was off our list but the chef insisted we try and Oh My! Order carrot cake, the best and most unusual we have ever had. The pistachio rose petal ice cream was truly homemade and over the top. What a unique, tiny and fun restaurant. Can't wait to go back and already have reservations because it sure is a small place

Colorful exterior and brightly colted interior in this small friendly place. Live music several nights a week and a very warm and welcoming waitress--- even the chef wandered through. Good flatbread with peppadew hummus and tasty red shrimp curry and a good chicken breast with fruit salsa , rice pilaf and cauliflower.

The food here is made with intention. You can tell every detail of each recipe is thought out and perfected. The food is also made with love, creativity, and style that comes through on the palate. The people and atmosphere are both very welcoming. The carrot cake - I have never tasted such brilliance! So thankful for all that went into such a wonderful dining experience.

Although we've been to this local gem a few times, it's always a new experience because of the farm-to-table methods of the chef. This time we sat at a beautiful mosaic table top (offered for sale - we purchased art and jewelry!) and enjoyed: * homemade goat cheese ravioli (entrée portion shared as appetizer) * pan-roasted organic chicken (Greek accents) * skirt steak (split between 2 kids) * fish I had never seen on any menu: Icelandic wolfish served with truffle butter, asparagus and jasmine rice. We had never ordered dessert here before but couldn't resist the Cinnamon Sugar Apple fritter. I barely took a breath while inhaling the cored Pink Lady apple slices on a bed of caramel with a side of salted caramel/vanilla ice cream. DELISH!

We discovered this gem last year when visiting Bradenton, FL. It's a small cottage in the Village of the Arts a funky art neighborhood. There are only about 32 seats, mostly tables for 4, with about 4 tables for twos. Also a few tables outside. Restaurant is quite small but the food is outstanding. Reservations are a must on weekends!

We really enjoyed the food - it was excellent. My husband had the fish and my friend and I had the chicken - both excellent. The appetizer of dates, blue cheese, and pistachios, was yummy. Only complaint was that our table was a little to close to the piano player which was a little bit louder than we would have liked. Will ask for a table next time that is not so close to the music.

We looked forward to the music and expected to be entertained, but the "piano man" was playing way too loud and belting out his songs in a manner not at all fit for a restaurant like this. They should stick to jazz or folk or quieter show tunes. The food was wonderful, but the noise (music) was such a distraction that we couldn't wait to leave! I would go back for the food (although prices were high for the the serving sizes), but not when there's music like that.

We dined on July 4, our second visit excited to see what was new, staff cheerfully greeted us. We ordered or appetizers Watermelon salad a "gotta try" awesome. Wife ordered Scallops I had the pork chop special on waitress recommendation. Scallops looked and tasted marvelous, however on this night the porkchop served did meat did not look appealing the cider sauce it was sitting on was very tasty. after a few bites got to center it was cold. Staff took immediate action within a few minutes meat returned. We will be giving Jim and Staff another try soon because of the ambiance and the flavors of the food we have eaten here.

What a find! We found Arts & Eats as the latest addition to OpenTable in our hometown so figured we would give it a try! What a find! The restaurant is in a small converted Bungalow in an Arts district called the Village of the Arts - it is quaint and beautifully appointed inside with lots of really interesting art from local artists. The standard menu is varied enough to satisfy just about anyone and was complemented by about 4 specials that were quite interesting. We started with and I had pan seared scallops in truffle butter with rice and asparagus and my wife had Garlic and Goat Cheese Ravioli. The food was outstanding as was the service. As a bonus there was some very nice mellow live music at just the right volume. We will be back!!
