Food was excellent - well prepared and nicely presented, but the kitchen was a little slower than relaxed. Service was good, but not unusually attentive or responsive. Dining room is simple but attractive. Went for Restaurant Week. Merits another try with the regular menu.

We dined at Artistry on the Green with our parents to celebrate their wedding anniversaries. What a joy to now have a Lexington option for special occasions. The dining room is designed to soften noise and we could hear each other. The service was excellent and unobtrusive. The staff are well versed in the history of the location, the restaurant name and our questions about the menu. Our experience exceeded expectations for atmosphere and fine dining. Kudos to Trisha and her family for their vision and their perseverance.

Went for lunch and ordered from the Dine Out Boston menu. Chowder app was tasty, fresh; chick pea fritters were average. Croque Monsieur was also tasty but average. The salad and potato frites were both good - the frites especially were delicious. The mozzarella was dry with not that much flavor. Perhaps the "fresh, handmade" cheese was allowed to dry too much. The service was particularly slow. It took some time for the apps to arrive (20 mins) and the entrees several minutes after that. Sandwiches should not take an hour, even if the restaurant was jammed, which it was not. Deserts again came out several minutes after the sandwiches and were OK. The lunch was one and 3/4 hours. This would be difficult for a working lunch hour.

It is a real pleasure to eat in Artistry which is in a magnificent new inn in one of the most historic towns in our country. The owners have created the most beautiful, pristine atmosphere where you can happily meet friends for lunch and eat well prepared, special dishes at a very reasonable price. I've not eaten there for dinner but have been told that although prices are considerably higher, the menu does not disappoint. No matter what, this restaurant is unique and memorable.

Very impressive food!!!..can immediately taste the freshness, homemade bread, vegetables prepared to perfection.. My husband had bluefish light,moist..sauce ingredients fresh and light. I highly recommend the panna cotta.. I lived in Europe for years and this is the first panna cotta I have had in USA that equals my experience in Italy and Switzerland. The Yankee Pot Roast was absolutely yummy..meat tender, vegetables farm fresh and tasty! The service was kind and attentive. This is a real jewel! I had also come here for breakfast and lunch..the food has been equally superb.

Was looking forward to a new restaurant in Lexington. Unfortunately, this one doesn't do it. First, the table was covered by a wet tablecloth - this was explained as necessary - a spray bottle was used to get out the wrinkles. Could not rest my arms on the table without feeling the cold and damp. The gazpacho soup was good, a little mild, but the corn garnish was nice. I love pot roast, but this slab - it was a slab - was not adequately infused with flavor, had a lot of fat and was tough. The root vegetables were sparse. A lovely nectarine dessert, but did not make up for the entree. The restaurant week offered only several dollars savings over ordering the individual servings ala carte. Sorry, but ....

Enjoyed the dining room layout and staff very friendly and competent. Two of us ordered from the Dine Out Boston menu and tried some new menu additions. Vegetable risotto needed more overall flavor, pot roast delicious (with somewhat bland potato puree), good cocktails. Would try again for brunch or a regular menu dinner.

I had lunch at Artistry On the Green with two friends and we enjoyed it very much. The dining room is beautifully designed in soft shades of grey. The fireplace lends a cozy note to the room. Far more sophisticated than I anticipated. The service was welcoming and professional. We ordered the clam chowder, quiche and the lobster cobb salad. Everything was delicious and nicely presented. I look forward to returning for dinner. Overall, a very pleasant place to dine!

Artistry on the Green is an unpretentious restaurant in an updated New England Inn. Who knew such a restaurant even existed in the Lexington Inn. Excellent food, attentive service. The menu lists all the local places Artistry sources their food. The decor is simple and pleasing. Personally, it's a bit on the expensive side for it to be our weekly night out, but perfect for a bi-monthly or monthly treat, and especially for social outings, and special occasions. We discovered it when a friend brought us to Artistry on a weekend, and we thought it was so nice that we brought friends on a weeknight just to see if there was any difference between weekend and weekday....no difference, still great food and service.

This is clearly a new establishment set in an older house near Lexington center. The renovation reflects a sense of style that compliments the architecture and the neighborhood. Before we even entered the restaurant we were greeted with a smile; warmth and attentiveness characterized all our dealings with the staff. They took and served our orders graciously and promptly. Our salads were fresh and not over-dressed. My fish tasted fresh and light, with a flavorful and artistic accompaniment of vegetables. The prices were competitive, given the quality and creativity of the menu. My only quibble would be with the ambient noise level as the dining room started to fill: it was hard to conduct a conversation with two soft-spoken seniors.

Artistry on the Green is a great, convenient new alternative for dining in Lexington. Every item we ordered was clearly made with very fresh ingredients and prepared with extreme care and in an appealing manner. The quality and taste of each item, from the warm, fresh bread, to the appetizers, entrees and desert were excellent. We highly recommend the pot roast and scallops as well as the potato au gratin side dish and the nectarine crisp for desert. We'll definitely be returning soon and frequently.

Some of the food was delicious, some nearly inedible. Started off with slow service, took forever to get our drinks. Starters (Caesar salads and charcuterie plate) were good (nothing special). On the plus side, the duck and the scallop mains were very good. Well cooked and delicious. However, the chicken was so dry as to be nearly inedible. Not sure we will be back. My husband insisted we go out for ice cream following the dinner to get the bad taste of his meal out of his mouth. (He had the chicken).

It was to find Artistry on the Green in Lexington. It is clearly the best restaurant in the town. The food was outstanding and the price was moderate. Second time for dinner. Food is outstanding in quality, taste and presentation. The service seems to be a little scattered at times. On both occasions we were seated with menus and left waiting for 15-20 minutes before a drink order was placed. Would prefer to be offered a cocktail while we glance over the menu. Couldn't seem to get much info from our waiter in terms of menu recommendations. He was very pleasant and attentive when he was at the table but seemed to be MIA at times. I think an issue is the summer help has just started and the kids are still training. I would HIGHLy recommend this restaurant. The GM is there overseeing it all and appears to be quite involved in making it all run smoothly.

We had lunch at Artistry On the Green, and based on that experience, will likely return for dinner. The lunch menu is limited, but varied enough to accommodate dietary needs and offer delicious options. Our party of three ordered different meals, and all were winners. The quiche was exceptional, as was the veggie burger (of the many versions of this offering I've had, this one was heavy on farro, a nice touch, and accompanied by tzatziki, which paired well), and the club sandwich was another great choice. The accompanying salads were delicious! The room can be quite noisy, a drawback for easy conversation. And the waitstaff seemed a bit untrained and overly eager, but that beats lack of attention.

The chef at this new elegant restaurant has put a delicious new spin on traditional dishes, which echos the contemporary decor in the traditional and comfortable dining room and inn. Most ingredients are locally sourced and listed at the bottom of the menu. I had the lobster cobb salad with ample lobster and a very fresh tasting dressing. My guests had the burger on a brioche bun and commented how flavorful the beef was and perfectly cooked. There were other items of interest to us on the menu so we intend to go back soon. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even bringing a birthday card to my mother, whose birthday we were celebrating. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for such a special place.

We had a lovely birthday dinner here for Mom; the super-friendly staff were happy to seat us early for our reservation. The food was great (I had a watercress vichyssoise to start, followed by the perfectly seared scallops - both were delicious). The cocktails were inventive and their flavors well-balanced. Our server even surprised us at the end with a card for my mom! I can't wait to go back.

Nice relaxed atmosphere in the dining room with plenty of room between the tables - I don't always want the "buzz" that goes along with a crowded restaurant. Food was fresh and well prepared and the service (and meal pace) were excellent. So happy to have another quality food offering in the suburbs. The cocktails are creative but may be trying too hard - my wife had to send hers back but they gladly exchanged it.
