Great service, food & ambiance. The food is superb, the cheeses and wines among the best in the country, The staff is friendly and efficient. I have been here for serious business lunches. It seems to be the choice of people in the arts, in publishing and filmmaking, just as it is the choice of people of good taste (no pun) in many other areas as varied as medicine and business.
It will always be a top choice for both celebratory and casual events.

A perfect time to dine. I had the soup special which was a gazpacho and for the main the Sunday special of beef short ribs. Both dishes were extremely good. The soup had the right amount of spice and beef could not have been prepared better. My wife skipped the appetizer and had the chicken under the brick. This dish always great and she enjoyed it. We shared the profiteroles for dessert. Everything about Artisanal makes you want to return. The food, the excellent service, and the very pleasant ambiance. This time we went for dinner and the food was wonderful as we've come to expect. The service is also top-notch and though the place has an energetic feel to it, diners aren't rushed. Whether ordering from the regular menu or choosing 'featured' courses, we're never disappointed. A seasonal favorite this time was the rhubarb-strawberry mousse (the chocolate fondue is always dynamite). Our party enjoyed the duck a l'orange, salmon, chicken-under-a-brick and steak. One member ordered the pate appetizer, commenting that it was excellent. The mussels were very good as was the fillet mignon. The only negative was the waiter so obviously trying to push the $90 chateaubriand 3 times.. No thanks. They're cheesemongers and had the time of their lives. My best friend's birthday was coming, and knowing she is a cheesemonger, well, it made the job easy. I put a note in the brunch reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and lo, when the dessert came out, they had a candle and a a greeting in chocolate on the plate! We didn't even have to say anything when we got there! Very attentive with great attention to detail.
The food, I mean, need I say.. was DIVINE. We had the Stout and Gouda fondue to kick things off (yes at brunch) and we could not stop eating it.
