We enjoyed our dinner so much because the menu was so creative! I tried the beet salad and cioppino, which were both excellent. My husband ordered the special which was the wedge salad (unlike any we've ever tasted), flat iron steak topped with a perfectly-cooked egg and asparagus, and PB&J bread pudding - also, excellent. The waiter and servers were very attentive. The waiter was EXTREMELY knowledgable about wine and beer pairings. The ONLY negative comment I'd have is that the kitchen was slow. It appeared to be only our table and we figured it was because we ordered the less common dishes. The waiter, however, profusely apologized before we broached the subject. We will return and try the popular flatbread pizzas and salmon entree

The food was good but the service was mediocore. slow and barely there. had to ask 3 times for bread and then it was mediocore...not sure that i would go back.

Enjoyed a wonder sunday brunch before the Clipper game and enjoyed their hangover cure, which consisted of 2 sunnyside up eggs over a chicken fried pork patty with a redgravy drizzled on it over an unfortunately hard biscuit. My friend had the eggs benedict which was fairly typical. We certainly appreciated the fast service and quick refills on the coffee, and the fresh squeezed OJ was the bomb! Nice place, quite a surprise in Downtown LA.
