This restaurant is amazing! From the second you walk in to the minute you leave you'll be happy you came. Our waiter was so friendly and very attentive. All courses were excellent and artistically presented. We asked many questions about the school and the staff and all our questions were answered with enthusiasm! Definitely will be returning!

For the many years I have dined at Artisan Bistro, it has always been consistent with very good choices. however, watch what you order! One appetizer, two soup & 1/2 order combinations (for lighter eating), one dessert and two non-alcoholic drinks cost $77! And of course our wait person made all the suggestions and hinted it was less that way.....(turned out it was less food) I was shocked, but paid and made a resolution to myself....not again!

From food to service. ..everything was more than one could expect. I loved the feel of the small rooms to the fantastic wine and food pairings. It was just the two of us but I counted 4 plus wait staff for each and every one of our needs. The sommelier explained all the wines and drinks. He was so humble and very personable. The manager even gave us some info on the different food items and recommendations. Everyone was so lovely and well worth the price. I felt like I died and went to foodie heaven with each course.

This was my first visit to Lafayette in about 20 years, and I was very impressed with the cuisine, service, ambiance, and menus at Artisan Bistro. I am seriously considering traveling back to eat there again. I have placed this beautiful culinary experience right up there as one of my favorites. I highly recommend it to all.

This is about our 15th time at the restaurant and we came here for my wife's birthday. 15 for 15! Always a consistently great meal with excellent service. We go out for dinner quite a bit and have yet to find a restaurant in the East Bay that reaches their level. Menu was changed since our last visit and we found some new favorites, along with a nice wine list.

For $35, I got a very small, but nice steak, cooked just right. However, also on my plate was a very small mound of mini-vegetables....a half a mini-carrot, a half a min-potato slice and a few leaves of spinach....very meager for the price. I wasn't happy about the value. My husband's duck breast for $30 was well sized, delicious and he had a lot of vegetables on the side. He was happy.

The food was excellent and it was very quiet and pleasant on a Sunday morning for brunch. They take pride in how the food is sourced, to the point of conceit in some cases. However, it was a very nice dining experience and the food was obviously prepared with great care.

Not a great title but, Artisan is sublime. The service is always good, quiet, efficient yet knowledgable. The Seared Scallops were crisp and delicate while the duck was smokey and savory. I highly recommend their Vesper. It is a quaint and lower tone place but can get raucous during their winemaker dinners. Definitely check it out!

We had shrimp salads...lots of garlicky shrimp with fresh arugula and a decent shaved cheese with a light olive oil dressing. Nothing terribly interesting, but well executed. Prices for a salad are on the high side, but there were plenty of shrimp, so I can't complain.

We have been here many times for lunch and dinner and have always had a good meal. We went for brunch for the first time and was disappointed. The selection of entrees were good but our food was tepid at best. The Hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict was actually cold and the potatoes were just barely warm. Would not recommend for brunch.

Artisan Bistro has amazing food, ambiance, and service; but so do many place. What set Artisan apart thus night was a bottle of wine we brought, (yes, you are allowed to bring your own wine). Our waiter came to open our wine table side and kept incredible patience and a sense of humor about a cork that refused to cooperate, it would crumble bit by bit - through it all our waiter kept calm, cracked jokes, and disappeared for only a moment to resolve the situation. That to me outstanding service under fire, and was greatly appreciated. It was the cherry of a moment on top of an amazing dinner

This is our go-to spot for a special meal when we want to stay local. Our last visit was for their Sunday night prix fixe dinner. The prix is right at $60 for three courses AND it includes wine parings with each course. The mixed drinks from the bar are excellent, too. The soups we have had are deconstructed, like onion. Different and very flavorful. Their fish is always perfectly prepared. The bacon wrapped duck breast is outstanding. While we usually try to dodge desserts (calories), we seem to always make an exception at Artisan Bistro. We had killer poached pear and a bread pudding the last time. Service has always been great with knowledgable and fun wait staff.

This little house has incredibly good, fine food. The descriptions don't beguile, so the surprise is in the meticulous execution and spectacular flavor. There is clearly a genius in the kitchen. The inside is cozy on a cold day, the outside is welcoming on a warm evening. The busser gets extra points for attentive yet unobtrusive table management. A couple of small gripes, ignorable at a neighborhood spot but amplified here by the prices. A bit more spent on outdoor chairs, steak knives, etc. would go a long way. But the server is quick to correct missteps, and the food, oh the food! and atmosphere are lovely.

I really liked the neighborhood that this small restaurant was in. The place itself looks like a home that was converted into a restaurant. It was hot outside when me and the family went, so we took advantage of the beautiful back patio. The food was great! I had the John Dory (white fish) and my wife had the Pork Loin & Pork Belly Duo. We just had the server bring extra plates and we split everything, including the appetizers. I would definitely go back. Didn't get a chance to try the cocktails, though, they looked and sounded very nice.
