Artichoke CafeGood Mothers Day ExperienceThe special Mothers Day menu was just right for the day. Everything about this visit was outstanding.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceSo glad to find fine restaurants in Albuquerque. We took my husband's family for mother's day and enjoyed it very much. The only thing I would change is decreasing the salt a little on some of the dishes, other than that it was a great experience.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinnerFood and service were great. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation on Saturday. Ample selection of entrees. My wife had beef tenderloin and I had Prosciutto wrapped scallops. Both were excellent Good selection of wines to complement your meal. Would definitely recommend5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest meal we had during our visit. This restaurant was highly recommended. Did not dissapoint! Our appetizers and dinner were excellent. I had the chicken special and my husband had the lamb. We stopped in on the way to the airport.
We had a key lime dessert and a chocolate dessert that was their special for the day. It was incredible. Kudos to the pastry chef!!
Service was great. Best food we had in New Mexico while visiting.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of thevery best in Albuquerque! The Salmon and the Scallop dishes that were served were excellent!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAfter years of saying "nextAfter years of saying "next time we visit Albuquerque we should go to the Artichoke Cafe" we finally did! My grandmother is close to 94 and in a wheelchair, but she was accomodated by the hostess with ease. Grammie downed her steak frites and really enjoyed it. The food was very good and we enjoyed our lunch outing immensely.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great mealWe had another excellent meal at the Artichoke. We had a beef tenderloin, pumpkin ravioli stuffed with butternut squash, salmon, and the Artichoke's version of "bangers and mash" (lamb sausage and a lamb rib with pureed cauliflower and kimchee). As an appetizer, we had their signature roast garlic with feta and grilled peppers. The service was also meticulous.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMTop notch! My favorite in ABQ!Excellent food and service. Prefer to sit in the bar area with Robert, Johnathan and Katisha! They are the very best!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMVery helpful kitchen staffVery helpful kitchen staff and waitress. My husband is lactose intolerant and the chef modified his dinner choice so that it did not contain any dairy but slill tasted great. Thank you.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI had an absolutely wonderfulI had an absolutely wonderful time while dining at the Artichoke Café! My waitress was very nice as well as the rest of the staff. The menu is diverse, so even picky eaters can find something they like. The Seared Ahi Tuna was great and the duck was delicious! I really liked the mood that was set in the restaurant; the lights were dim without being too dark. I had a great time and I hope to done here soon again. I definitely recommend trying the Artichoke Café next time you're in downtown Albuquerque.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMA "don't miss" spotHis restaurant was highly recommended and I found out why - food, location and ambience. I am making a reservation for my girlfriends visiting in May!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently good food and serviceMy filet was melt-in your-mouth tender and cooked to perfection (medium rare). We sat in the "back room" which was much quieter than in front. Really like the fact that parking is easy and there is an attendant on duty...not always the case with restaurants in Abq. One of our favorites.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were visiting ABQ and randomlyWe were visiting ABQ and randomly picked Artichoke Cafe from Google. What a find! We were tempted to extend our stay so we could go back the next night.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDC/NOVA Family on vacationDC/NOVA Family on vacation not necessarliy kid friendly, but we were ok with that
Nice modern, open atmosphere, they had a good wine list, appetizers (try the excellent tacquitos) and dinners, while the best part of the meal came with the "foodie dessert". (Deconstructed lemon meringue, special of the day pistachio cake and custard, flourless chocolate torte, even the chocolate ice cream was special).4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding, as usual. WeOutstanding, as usual. We were seated near the bar, where a group got a little noisy.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food and excellentDelicious food and excellent service. It was my birthday and I was graciously treated to dessert. Nice staff and lovely cuisine.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMI eat there once to severalI eat there once to several times a year with groups. My wife and I eat there about once a year, usually on one of our birthdays. We concider it to be the best restaurant in Albuquerque. Unfortunately, it can be noisy.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Service! We go to Artichoke quite a bit. Seated Very Promptly. They have a great parking attendant(s) that help you park and keep an eye on your car. Something happened to our order for both our appetizer and the main course. We were there for almost an hour before food showed up. HOWEVER, our waiter took full responsibility and COMP'D OUR APPS, DESSERT, COFFEE AND BROUGHT A MORE EXPENSIVE BOTTLE OF WINE BUT CHARGED US FOR ONLY WHAT WE ORDERED! I was with my beautiful wife and we had a babysitter until late, so we were in no hurry. Our waiter was very apologetic about the delay. When the food came, it was spectacular (and hot!). Generally, the food is prompt, so I chalk this up to 'one bad night'. We'll surely go back.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food, Service and Ambience...Wow! this was my second visit in 4 days while visiting in the area. Loved the food the first time, but found the service slow. This time everythhing was outstanding. Server Sam was efficient, friendly and a very good ambassador for Albuquerque! I had the special ...Sesame Shrimp Stir Fry, and my husband had the veal. We found both dishes delectable. Be assured that we will be back if we ever return to the area!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways deliciousWe enjoyed the special offerings for restaurant week. The wine pairing with the menu was very nice as well. It is always a treat to dine at The Artichoke.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMResturant Week GemFirst time at Artichokes, and we had a wonderful dinner. Then had a large "Restaurant Week' menu and everything I wanted was on it. The portions were slightly smaller, but plenty of food, and the food was great. We were given the choice of a table in the front dinning room or the quieter back dinning room, which I appreciated. Overall great food, great service, nice atmosphere. We will go back.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMArtichoke Cafe never disappoints!Artichoke Cafe never disappoints! Warm and cozy, great food and service every time we visit. This time, my husband and I enjoyed a quiet dinner for two the night before Valentine's Day but we have had the same service with a larger group from work. Service is personal and attentive without being intrusive. Lots of great things on the appetizer menu but I seem to always opt for the artichoke as they don't appear on restaurant menus often. Had every intention of having dessert but couldn't finish my steak frites so maybe next time...2/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
