My husband and I were married at the venue a few years ago and heard they turned into a restaurant and we wanted to give it a try. The food was amazing, the waiter was friendly and the décor was just perfect. We will be going back now that we know it's open for lunch/dinner and lunch.

The decor of the restaurant is fun and interesting. They did a great job converting an old warehouse into an inviting restaurant. Our server was very friendly and provided good service. The empanadas were wonderful and was another appetizer arepas. The guacamole was also good, but we had to request more chips because very few came with it. I think those in our party that ordered steaks and the duck were pleased. I ordered the "airplane chicken" (not like airline food), which was tasty, but a bit dry. The accompanying sauces were a little spicy. The flourless chocolate cake was very good. The place is pretty noisy - not a lot of sound absorption.

We are big fans of ArtTango. Maria and her husband do an amazing job. The empanadas are delicious. Most entrees are very good. It is BYOB for now (a good thing) but they are trying to get a liquor license. Their main business is Tango lessons and parties which start at 8PM or so. It is great fun to watch while you are enjoying your good food.

This place was just as good as tango sur if not better! Here's why, plenty of free parking, great ambience and the noise level actually allows for conversation without have to say "what?" after ever word. Not to mention that the food is delicious and the staff is wonderful. Our waiter gave us great tips and was very knowledgable. Highly recommend as we will be returning!

The atmosphere was great and our waiter was very helpful. He answered all of our questions, and was extremely nice about everything, as we had a lot of them. We were not aware that this location is BYOB, and he was able to accurately direct us to the nearest liquor store, and held off on putting our order in until we were able to return, which was very kind, as the restaurant was starting to get pretty busy at this time. Unfortunately during the weekends they do not host the tango classes, but we were given the opportunity to watch a few couples tango the night away in the middle of the restaurant, which was an awesome experience. The food was good. The appetizers were the star of the show. Definitely a place we would go back to.

We had very high expectations for brunch. The appetizers (empanadas) were outstanding. The entrees (crab benedicts) were OK, and the side dishes didn't come with all of the ingredients. One of the biggest problems was that the food was not hot and seemed like it had been sitting before being served, even though there were few patrons in the restaurant. Maybe if we had stuck to more traditional dishes it would have been better. I would give it a second try, and the place is beautiful, and the servers are nice people who try hard.

We'd previously signed up for Tango lessons at Artango, and although we'd heard they had started food service a while back, hadn't gone there. On the occasion of the 13th annual Ravenswood ArtWalk we decided to meet friends there for a Saturday brunch. It was delightful. We weren't aware they were BYOB, but the interesting brunch offerings made the visit well worth our while. We'll be back.

We were in the area looking for a nearby restaurant on a Friday night, and ended up at ARTango. There were two surprises: the dance floor was full of tango dancers, and the restaurant was byob. Unfortunately, it was too late to go buy a bottle of wine to go with the great food, but it was fun watching the dancers; we hope to go back some time during the week for lessons!

Met our 24 year old daughter for dinner on Wednesday evening.....What a treat! The lamb shank and gnocchi was unbelievable! My husband had the strip steak with chorizo and loved it. Appetizers were terrific and the mango flan was the best flan I have ever had. The kicker was that they offer free tango lessons on Wednesday nights. What could be more romantic!

ARTango is a lovely setting -- elegant, yet warm and inviting. After 8 pm the lights are dimmed and Tango lessons begin on the dance floor at the front of the restaurant. We found this to be charming, not at all interruptive to our dining experience. The food is beautifully prepared and the menu offers enough variety to satisfy most everyone. Very good service -- friendly and helpful waiter who did not rush us -- and the prices are very reasonable for the excellent quality of the food offered. 5 of us dined, with an age range of early 20’s to late 70’s and everyone loved it!

We had a MOST wonderful evening at Artango. Granted, we were motivated by having a Groupon - but will definitely return. First, it's very colorful with great music. Second, it's BYOB, Third, the staff was just tremendously helpful and friendly; not "overly attentive" but there for every need. We brought wine for dinner and a partial bottle of Pisco brandy for dessert, which they put on ice for us. Menu is very manageable and creative - great ceviche options to start - and to share. Small plates offerings were quite creative and, again, easy to share and plentiful although dubbed "small" and entrees covered the vegetarian/fish/poultry/beef/lamb gamut with terrific sides. We shared a dessert of limoncello gelato with our Pisco. Yes!

I live in the area & came upon ARTTango. My bf & I had dinner on a Friday night at 745-we had a reservation but it wasn't needed. The place was pleasantly crowded & we had our pick of outdoor or indoor seating & chose indoor so that we could see the interior. It's beautifully decorated & an intimate setting. The food was amazing & being BYOB was a huge bonus! We started with the empanadas which were more than enough for 2 people & delicious. We were then given salad which had an awesome dressing. Next, I had the entrana which came on top of mashed potatoes with a side of guacamole. My bf had the filet mignon in malbec sauce. Both entrees were outstanding. The service was also attentive but not overbearing. I highly recommend ARTtango!

Went with all the recommendations from the server. Cozy outdoor seating in a quiet section of Ravenswood with plenty of street parking available. Service was exceptional - very attentive and welcoming. Trio of ceviches (shrimp/mahi-mahi/tuna) is a nice starting point - esp. the mahi mahi in a passion fruit dressing is unusual and memorable. Empanadas were reasonably well executed. In the entree section the skirt steak is the star and surprisingly the duck is also very good. The chimichurri sauce was the only weak point in the whole experience. And don't forget this is a BYOB.

The five of us expected an Argentinian ambiance but were surprised to find so imaginative a decor retaining a significant amount of loft elements reorganized and combined with added elements of surfaces and objects. The large space, not filled the Tuesday night we were there, allowed for a lively continuous Tango class. Participants joined and some dropped out over the several hours we were there. Fortunately our table was situated so we could watch from a bit of a distance but not be overwhelmed by the music and instruction: a nice floor show without being part of it. The menu was comprehensive and creative. We worked our way through a number of appetizers rather than single entrees so we could taste more of a variety of items

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here, tarting with a nice bottle of wine (byob!) and empanadas. The beef empanadas were excellent--like I remember when I was a child in Chile. Next came soup for my friend and salad for me. He loved it, I thought it was okay. We both had beef dishes--both outstanding as you'd expect at a South American restaurant. No room for desert, but now I have a reason to go back. Two couples dancing the tango enhanced the experience.

Great food - quirky atmosphere with sometime schedule tango lessions happening in part of the dining room. But, what was funny was they were silent. No tango music, and very wispered instruction. Kinda like Mime Tango dance lessions. Still quirky, but mybe better to just own it and tuirn on the tango music. Great Food! And you can skip the whole silent tango instruction thing by snaggin one of the outdoor tables.
